The newly released episodes aren't yet on Netflix (dunno when they will be), so you'll have to "acquire" them differently.

Season 4 is on Netflix in my region. Won't watch it though since the show sucks!

The season so far has been more or less the same as the others but expectations are higher and jokes that initially worked because they were unexpected are now the norm and I think this has led to some people feeling underwhelmed.

I only just watched the latest series over the past week but thought it was as good as usual. Couple of weaker episodes but that's pretty much the norm.

The snake episode is hilarious.

On another (somewhat related) note, I watched an uncensored episode last night.... I didn't actually know the swearing wasn't supposed to be bleeped/burped out. It was weird, don't know how I felt about it....

I didn't like it that much upon first viewing, appreciated it more second time round. But that type of meta meta-ness is a tight rope to walk and is very hit and miss.

Harmon loves that kind of shit though, also toyed with it more than once with Community. I kinda enjoy it cos it's fun to see the usual narrative mechanisms being toyed with, and questioned, but it is rather pompous overall.

But I'm also wondering - where exactly can they go from here? It's a show that has drawn its success and a cult viewing from being meta and managing to handle high concept stuff with humour and a touch of emotion. But is it sustainable long term? When does the formula become tired? And while the background of the show (the multiverse) give it an infinity of possibilities, you wouldn't want it to be only an "adventure of the week" type of show.

I think the idea was to be the very opposite of pompous. They're mocking the cultish fandom.

That said, it's not among my favorite episodes.

I usually get what they're attempting with the 'meta' episodes but that one left me without a clue as to what went on.

Yeah it like they are trying too hard. I hope they do a few more "grounded" eps if that makes any sense. Every episode doesnt have to be a mindfeck. Maybe explore the evil Morty storyline, wonder what happened to that.

I think Evil Morty will always be a character they return to sporadically. He'll remain the main mystery of the show IMO. He made an appearance in the last episode and I'd imagine they'll be some sort of Citadel episode at some point.

I started Community recently and you can tell Harmon loves a meta episode. They're relentless with it in Community.

I really didn't understand the episode, can someone explain it high level? Felt they tried too hard to make it complicated.
