Maybe he wants you to stop messing about with the sweeper keeper nonsense and play him as a proper Brexit goalkeeper.
I thought that might be the case, but he supposedly loves sweeping.

He hates that meat and potatoes sunday league goalkeeping. He wants to be Cruyff-turning on the edge of the box and taking goal kicks by doing a Rabona.

This seems like a dressing room prank, trying to haze the boss. Not having this. I should punt him in to the reserves and shit in his boots.

AI is fecked.

He's a goalkeeper. He plays only as a goalkeeper.
When you signed him, was one of the promises that you would play him in a specific role? I offered him a contract on my save and pulled out after seeing how tetchy him and his agent were.

Maybe you didn’t see in the promises section and you renewed the contract?

The green circle is a staff recommendation based on his attributes, not his favored position/role.
I've been playing this game for over a decade and only learnt about that 2 or so weeks ago.

If he did it should be in the promises section I think.

He was already at the club when I took the job, perhaps a previous manager told him to just boot the ball out of the stands and stay glued to his line.

There's no trace of him being unhappy on his profile, and I didn't even speak to him after his initial unrest. It's like it never happened.

That's what a good shit in the boot will do.

Yeah, it's a lot to get your head around isn't it

I only think about roles now in the sense of training specific groups of attributes.

I was thinking about how it makes training much different, in my eyes anyway. For individual training I was going to do an experiment based on Ajax, how their players are almost taught to play in all positions etc. making them much more rounded.

I was thinking about literally only training players as BDP, CWB, BTB and CF as they are the roles that train the players attributes the most broadly and in theory would make your youth players all fairly well rounded players instead of letting the staff train only focusing on certain things.

Zealand made a really good video on it recently too.

A long hard summer is over, but I think we have fared pretty well. Still reliant on loans for quality in the first team, but we have the 22 man squad I wanted.

Out

A few squad players I have lost confidence in brought in 5 million, but the big one was Armini, the legend! PSG came in with a bid, and he was ready to kick off. Negotiated it to £35 milllion plus a sell on clause and he is gone. A bit sad because I saw him as my captain for this save, but it puts £20 million in the coffers and allowed us to build the squad. Kovar, out GK, also left.

In

On the last few days of their loans, I managed to renew Brewster, Matondo and Nmecha (for only 1k a month!), which is a massive boost. The others left, but managed to bring in Empadu, Vinagre and Troy Parrott, who isn’t the best fit, but was the best we could get in.

We used the Armini transfer cash to sign Kounde as his replacement from Sevilla, as well as Luca Connell for good cover in midfield and Toljan from Dortmund for cover at full back. We also upgraded our keeper, after missing out on Henderson, Villar and Ramsdale, we finally ended up with Bodart from Standard as our new number one!

Starting Eleven

Bodart
Passlack
Kounde
Adarabioyo
Vinagre
Kenneh
Motondo
Nmecha
Morilla
Brewster
Parrott

Subs

Empadu, Toljan, Akkaynak, Connell, Jones, Arezo amongst others...

Still reliant on loans, but a much fuller squad. We will be looking to add an LB, RW, CM and CF of our own for the first team and keeping tabs on Kean, who rejected us in the summer.

Morilla wants to stay, but Kenneh is unhappy that we rejected a bid from Spurs, só with two weeks to run of the window, that’s the biggest story left to run.

Open Henderson's profile and it's usually mentioned in his positives/negatives area or somewhere around that.

This is starting season 3, so it’s been great progress. CL qualification gave a massive boost to what could be brought in and selling Armini was the right move I think!

I always say i go with the 22 man squad but I know there are players I won’t use!

Christ, whoever said the Brazilian seasons are long wasn't lying. Feel like I've been in Brazil for years but i'm halfway through my first season with Flamengo.

Top of the league by a few points, struggling a little with consistency though.

Cool, my first choice and only competent goalkeeper at Villarreal stubbed his finger on the day of the CL final.

It’s the power of having two strikers that were too good for the league. Squad is definitely better now but feel like Kean will be a miss this season. He was immense.

Lost the final on pens to Fluminense. Was still struggling to figure out our tactics, luckily the board didn't seem to care (seems quite a minor competition?)

Playing River Plate in the quarters of the Copa Libertadores currently. Hoping we can make it through, we seem to be hitting some form at the right time.

Yeah, it’s quite minor, although fans go crazy because of the rivalries. The libertadores is a great tournament, so many good ties. The game with River should be a good one.

The most valued tournament in Brazil is the world club cup surprisingly, so you may have to go all out if you get there :D

Aye, that video is how I found out. It t does explain a lot though, like those players you had train a role for ages never getting to the full circle and players with bright green for a position but not for any of it's roles.

Might've been me. It's quite interesting because it's different but the majority of the 1st part of the season is like an extra long series of friendlies as each state championship contains only 2 or 3 decent teams.

I've started a training experiment. Gonna train all players in what I think are the most well-rounded roles.

GK - SK(A)
FB - CWB(S)
CB - L(S)
DM - SV(S)
CM - BTB(S)
W - AP(S)
ST - CF(A)

I realize I'm gonna have to manage all training for youth teams too so I'm gonna do some good research on how to build the most effective schedules (or download some)

Quite interested to see the results, if they are immediately discernable anyway.

The training I shared few weeks back is the most effective training I have seen. I have implemented that and the change is just awesome.

Just as an example, Greenwood heading was poor, i trained him on his heading, his jumping reach and heading was 10+.

Give it a try, you can address most of the players weakness.

Rdf training and development guide. I used to use the schedule too but then I started to make my own. Watched few bustthenet videos as a starting guide.

Won the first leg of the River tie 2-1 away. They battered us in the second half and really should have levelled. Hoping we can hold on in the home tie at the Maracana. Would love to win it and play a European team in the Club World Cup.

Well you definitely weren't lying! And yeah was a little strange at first. But now the league is in full swing, and I'm in the quarters of the Libertadores, which is a lot of fun. Got my youth intake arriving soon and excited to see who comes through. I inherited some incredible regens when I took over at the start of the season. Problem is trying to keep European teams away from them!

You know the mentoring groups you can set up...if you put say your right backs and right wingers in a group together, does that help build partnerships down the wing?

Started a new save with United with the first transfer window disabled.

Settled on DDG, AWB, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Pogba, Fernandes, James, Rashford, Martial to start with for most fixtures, in a 4-2-3-1 positive gegenpressing. Williams developed massively and was competing with Shaw for the LB position, Pereira started out as a cup option but started banging in goals and never really let me down when playing so he got starts ahead of Fernandes or McTominay. Was difficult for Fred to get in the team apart from the cups and EL. Pereira got a bad injury around Feb that ended his season and Pogba had a few suspensions so he ended up being a key figure.

Greenwood started mostly off the bench at the start, and took him till November to get his first goal. Went on a rampage after that and scored something like 17/18 goals in November, December and January before struggling again after that. I had to rely on him more as Martial did his ACL in October and was out for the season.

Ighalo somehow ended up as my top goalscorer, only started 4 times in the league but scored 22 goals overall in the cups and EL. I asked the board to signed Sancho in Jan which they did for £90m, he fitted in well but didn't set the world alight, struggled in the big games and only managed 3 goals.

In the end, I was head to head with Liverpool with 7-8 games to go when City dropped out of the title race. It got too 4 games to go with a trip to Anfield included, they were one point ahead. They then went to Turf Moor and drew and we had Crystal Palace at home the following day, somehow drew 0-0 despite having 25 shots to 2. Managed to win at Anfield 1-0 and was now in the driving seat with 3 games remaining..... didn't win any of the remaining 3 games, 3 0-0 draws! Unbelievable.

Also ruined my EL campaign, stormed the group and 1st knockout round. Got my first difficult team in Roma, won at the Olimpico 1-0 then rested my team for the second leg at OT and lost 2-1. Got knocked out the FA Cup by City on penalties and lost on penalties in the CC Semi Final.

Just signed Haaland and Bellingham in the first summer window. Loaned out Chong and Gomes. Sold Jones, Matic, Sanchez and Lindelof to Arsenal.

Watching it all fall apart towards the end of the season is tough.
Any save with United where you actually manage to sell Sanchez should be seen as a success though.

That is absolutely gutting at the end. It’s crazy how you couldn’t score in those last three games. I would have been tearing my hair out!

Just finished up the season, ended up 2nd. When the groups split our form went off a cliff and we went from top of the league to 3rd with a gap of 7 points. We somehow turn it around and ended up going on a winning streak beating both AEK and Olympiakos in the process to go into the last day with an actual shot at the title, needing AEK to lose against Olympiakos and we needed to beat Aris.
We actually went 1-0 in the same minute AEK went 1-0 down, but it went terribly from there on in with Aris coming back and smashing us 4-2, AEK got a draw so even had we won they would've been top on head to head record but it still felt disappointing.

Game of the season for me has to be this win against Inter in the Europa League, topped out group only to get them in our 1st knockout game (you get a bye if you win your group) and thought we were going out considering they have some world class players, lost 1-0 away but then we brought them back to Greece and were smashing them before they attempted to mount a comeback. I was genuinely nervous towards the end of that game.

Will be moving to a new formation next season, I don't think this one can take me much further at the moment. Have a couple of good deals already sorted for this summer, including a young GK on a free from United.

I've just won the league with 6 games remaining and just two points dropped. Probably my best ever form in an FM, and hoping I can go rest of the season with dropping any more points.

Then this happens...

Does this actually happen in this game? Is there a chance a new owner will come in and get rid of me?

How easy is it to implement and how difficult is it to avoid injuries or complaints about traiNing?

I got in lots of fitness coaches like it suggested but haven’t done anything else. Is it just a case of specializing where they are weaker?

I don’t know if I want to manually go through training every week and download routines.

It's easy, looks very complex but when you watch couple of videos as sort of guide and then start creating schedules you will get hang of it. There is training planner excel too, where it gives on which attributes you are training for that particular week.

Players will always complain no matter what,I just ignore them as long as the attributes they are working on is improving. In the middle of fixture congestion you will have players moaning about not doing much quickness/strength training, that doesn't make any sense. I just ignore them.

FA Cup Winners, 2nd in the PL, QF of the CL. Decent 2nd season. Kean won top scorer again, Digne top assists in the league again. Kean is a must buy on this if he isn't being used by Everton.

Brought in Luis, Reyna and Chukwueze. Managed to sell a bunch of the young kids I bought in the first season to be backups for 10m profit on each. Sold Gbamin too, he was good at the start of the 2nd season but slowly got worse so no point in keeping him.

I know that I can win the league with this core of Everton players, I just need to beat Liverpool basically. I don't remember a PL team ever being as strong as them in an FM before. I know in previous seasons United/City/Chelsea would be strong but they were much more beatable than Liverpool are in this game.
