In this era of air headed pundits dominating the screens, Keane's brutal honesty along with his concise analysis is a breath of fresh air. I hope Ole is listening to him.

If only the club was still held to his high standards and we had someone like him in the dressing room. We might actually get back to competing at the top of the game again then.

He just moans about everything, it's boring. Yeah if we could all magically complain our way to SAF or Klopp levels it'd be fantastic, but it's not that easy is it? Keane was no great shakes as a manager.

His unnecessary criticism of United at various points and his completely unwarranted vendetta against Pogba will always make me take a dislike to him. It's easy to sit and complain, it's harder to actually come up with constructive solutions.

I actually thought De Gea made Son’s header better than it was
Yeah I sort of agree with him (and you) on that one. It was a bit of a save for the cameras, he's expected to make that save.

Regarding Roy Keane, I honestly got a good laugh out of his punditry today

He kind of cools down the anger inside you saying it as it is as opposed to listening to redknapp or someone saying it’s a fantastic goal.

He's entertaining but he's also a bit of a clown. If people weren't so scared of him he'd be laughed at a lot more for some of his opinions.

I guess with Keane you take him for what he is. Brutally honest and hilarious but comes with about as much insight as Paul Merson.

You dont need a giant tablet with arrows pointing into the corners to have good opinions.

Sometimes calling someone out for being shit in a phase of play, or shit in general, is all we need. I dont need neville's ven diagrams all over the pitch.

He's good value. At halftime he said what many others would be too afraid to say. He can go overboard at times but he was spot on today.

I see him in the way I see Paul Merson - both can occasionally make good points but they exaggerate and play up to the character of them that has been created in the football world which adds to the entertainment. I enjoy Roy Keane but preferred it when he was a pundit for 4/5 times a season as opposed to every other week when he can become tiresome.

I agree there's a place for Keane in this sky set up - but you can't compare his level of analysis to Neville's. Never heard Roy Keane actually say anything I didn't know just in a lot more angry and exaggerated way , whereas Gary actually breaks down why it happened .

I love the fact that when he says something, you can’t really argue because he had such high standards as a player and was the first to set them himself.

Except you look at both their honours and the fact that Keane was Uniteds best captain ever, and there's a difference. I think his insight is fully merited over both Merson and armchair fans.

It doesn't work that way, unless you think Souness is the greatest pundit we have.
I'm not saying someone can't rate Keane as a pundit, but the argument of pointing to the fact that he won lots of trophies just doesn't work.

Not just trophies but the captain that drove United to win many of those trophies, who has always been known to hold high standards, so why some are shocked or feel the need to switch off the TV when he speaks simply need to understand where he's coming from and stop being such fairies. He holds the club to high standards and that's fine by my books, because there's too many fans that are slipping standards and would be fine for us to finish 6th as long as Ole is still at the helm.

Yeah fair enough about his right to give strong opinions or have high standards.

Rubbish. Keane did the business on the pitch and made sure everyone else did.
He knows what's what and always gave it his all which can't be said of most of our current team.

I thought he was spot on! Hopefully DDG gets his head right soon because as a senior squad member he’s been a liability for way too long at this stage. Lloris saves that. Since Rooney It’s almost like the kiss of death when United make you one of their top earners whatever is going on.

The way he tore into Maguire and De Gea was fantastic, loved it. It was embarrassing from both and time for someone to call De Gea out. Put the pressure on the guy, time is up for the protecting and caressing. Needs to grow some balls or leave

He's correct with his points but well over the top with his reactions. The man was fuming and that's as a pundit in a TV studio. Imagine how he can be in a dressing room? Glad Evra was sitting round the table to add some balance to the discussion. Agree though with Keane about the save from Son's header. Nothing special with that! Weak attempt from Son considering the position he was in.

Keanes points are really an expression of his character, you can easily assess his influence of previous captaincy from his wild assessments. The problem however is Roy's regard in expectation of the club is contingent of the times under SAF. Our owners, many fans and even the current manager fall short of this prior standard. It also has nothing to do with resources but is centered around mentality.

We have been so dreadful this season I'm anticipating we'll fail to get the UCL in our own capacity to finish fourth. If it does happen it will be on the premise of some variable we are unable to control (Chelsea dropping points / City's ban). That's just my opinion on the basis that this team always falls short of any required aim, we continually underachieve.

A man losing his rag and threatening to physically assault someone over a football match would make him a leading candidate to play a soap character like Phil Mitchell, so I see why it has a place on TV.

I'm not convinced it makes for high quality punditry though

Said it as it is, as usual. And coming from someone who led by example on the pitch, it carries more weight. I have no qualms with his analysis of this game. When people foul up, they need calling out. Maybe the fan came through more than the pundit last night, but heck, we wouldn't be the ones complaining about that. Keano is one of us!

He lives up to his billing. Evra was excellent in his response. “I have my car here for any United players who need a lift back to Manchester”

Keane’s so honest and brutal it’s hilarious. Refreshing to see DeGea called out. Two years of costing us goals that Sunday league keepers should save at crucial moments is too much.

I love Evra but he’s got an agenda within the club and Keane hasn’t. Keane’s comment that he’d make DeGea and Maguire get a taxi home was actually laugh out loud funny where Evra’s response was only mildly amusing

Did you even watch what he said last night, after the game too? He was full of praise

His comments about physically assaulting De Gea are cringe worthy. You have all this BLM movement before and during the game with the names on the shirts and then you have a guy at half time talking about beating someone because they made a mistake in a football game. Also, after the Everton game he said he would've killed De Gea. Now I know he's not really meaning it, but speeches like that have no place on a TV show. You expect to hear them in a pub, after 6 beers. I seriously can't see how you can find entertainment in his thuggish comments if you are older than 14.
