Was brutally honest today
Yeah I sort of agree with him (and you) on that one. It was a bit of a save for the cameras, he's expected to make that save.I actually thought De Gea made Son’s header better than it was
He kind of cools down the anger inside you saying it as it is as opposed to listening to redknapp or someone saying it’s a fantastic goal.Yeah I sort of agree with him (and you) on that one. It was a bit of a save for the cameras, he's expected to make that save.
Regarding Roy Keane, I honestly got a good laugh out of his punditry today
I agree there's a place for Keane in this sky set up - but you can't compare his level of analysis to Neville's. Never heard Roy Keane actually say anything I didn't know just in a lot more angry and exaggerated way , whereas Gary actually breaks down why it happened .You dont need a giant tablet with arrows pointing into the corners to have good opinions.
Sometimes calling someone out for being shit in a phase of play, or shit in general, is all we need. I dont need neville's ven diagrams all over the pitch.
Exactly how I also see itI love the fact that when he says something, you can’t really argue because he had such high standards as a player and was the first to set them himself.
I was mid drag of a cigarette when i read this and i laughed so much i choked. Fantastic‘Timmy, get down here, it’s Roy fecking Keane on the phone’
‘I’m a massive fan Roy, I lo-‘
‘Listen here you little shit’
Except you look at both their honours and the fact that Keane was Uniteds best captain ever, and there's a difference. I think his insight is fully merited over both Merson and armchair fans. He's entertaining but he's also a bit of a clown. If people weren't so scared of him he'd be laughed at a lot more for some of his opinions.
I guess with Keane you take him for what he is. Brutally honest and hilarious but comes with about as much insight as Paul Merson.
It doesn't work that way, unless you think Souness is the greatest pundit we have.Except you look at both their honours and the fact that Keane was Uniteds best captain ever, and there's a difference. I think his insight is fully merited over both Merson and armchair fans.
Well said. You dont have to be good just controversial
Not just trophies but the captain that drove United to win many of those trophies, who has always been known to hold high standards, so why some are shocked or feel the need to switch off the TV when he speaks simply need to understand where he's coming from and stop being such fairies. He holds the club to high standards and that's fine by my books, because there's too many fans that are slipping standards and would be fine for us to finish 6th as long as Ole is still at the helm.It doesn't work that way, unless you think Souness is the greatest pundit we have.
I'm not saying someone can't rate Keane as a pundit, but the argument of pointing to the fact that he won lots of trophies just doesn't work.
Yeah fair enough about his right to give strong opinions or have high standards. Not just trophies but the captain that drove United to win many of those trophies, who has always been known to hold high standards, so why some are shocked or feel the need to switch off the TV when he speaks simply need to understand where he's coming from and stop being such fairies. Rubbish. Keane did the business on the pitch and made sure everyone else did.He just moans about everything, it's boring. Yeah if we could all magically complain our way to SAF or Klopp levels it'd be fantastic, but it's not that easy is it? Keane was no great shakes as a manager.
His unnecessary criticism of United at various points and his completely unwarranted vendetta against Pogba will always make me take a dislike to him. It's easy to sit and complain, it's harder to actually come up with constructive solutions.
On a side note, anyone mentioned his hair? Standards dropped there
At least he's lost that awful U-boat captain style beard. Christ, can you imagine being in a submarine with Roy in charge? On a side note, anyone mentioned his hair? Standards dropped there
silent domination .....Neville lost me there. I didn’t already know it granted, but what a crock of shite.I agree there's a place for Keane in this sky set up - but you can't compare his level of analysis to Neville's. Never heard Roy Keane actually say anything I didn't know just in a lot more angry and exaggerated way , whereas Gary actually breaks down why it happened .
I love Evra but he’s got an agenda within the club and Keane hasn’t. Keane’s comment that he’d make DeGea and Maguire get a taxi home was actually laugh out loud funny where Evra’s response was only mildly amusingHe lives up to his billing. Evra was excellent in his response. “I have my car here for any United players who need a lift back to Manchester”
"Fighting for top 4, god forbid winning trophies"A Legend
Did you even watch what he said last night, after the game too? He was full of praiseHe just moans about everything, it's boring. Yeah if we could all magically complain our way to SAF or Klopp levels it'd be fantastic, but it's not that easy is it? Keane was no great shakes as a manager.
