Not surprising. As soon as Chelsea scored, they were always going to take the lead.

That's why we're likely to go down. Chelsea put on two quicker players in final third and we simply can't cope and fold.

He's about as far out as the penalty spot, and Villa's centre halves are stood in the six yard box watching.

FFS. What do we expect from Villa defense this season anyway? I knew 100% 1 goal wasn't enough.

I think 4th is gone. Missing the victory against Spurs is going to be fatal.
Yep, two defeats needed by Chelsea and with us winning all games. Not happening.

Europa and City ban being upheld are still two chances remaining of getting CL though.

Look how quickly Villa will be having their drinks break. Time wasting wankers

Do you think that your spending spree in the summer had an impact or do you think it's down to mainly other issues?

feck, thought that was in the box for a moment. Then again we are so bad from set pieces they'll probably score.

Waste as much time as they did Frank. It was three and a half minutes in the first half.

True. I think it’s a fight between us & Wolves for 5th & it’ll be really tight

Lot of their main players last season were from loan move which some of them they couldn't secure them permanently. IMO they shouldn't spend 100m but they do need to spend money to upgrade & replace and they didn't get the right replacement.

Look at Chelsea fixtures and also look at Leicester fixture. Compare them to us. You made too early judgment.
It’s impossible for them to lose 2 games. I would love too but you need some psychological effect in those stuff and it would have been good to see them lose today, there are only a few games left, we need them to mentally collapse.

We had to spend. We lost 5/6 players from our promotion squad as they were either loans (Tammy, Axel) or too old to do anything in premier league (Whelan, Adomah, Jedinak) so squad was very thin.

Our big error was doing what we did in 2015, replacing key players with young inexperience ones from lower leagues like Trezeguet and Hause. Only experienced player from premier league we really signed was Tom Heaton.

Do think Douglas Luiz will be a very good player in 12-18 months, been excellent this game and last but we simply haven't got enough in the 11 good enough for this level right now.

And yes Dean Smith is very weak in game management, very slow using subs and tweaking our formation which you need to do when you're in the lead against top 6/7.

They're as good as relegated as far as I'm concerned.
Probably true but Bournemouth have a similar fixture list and West Ham have Spurs and Chelsea up next, we've got them on the last day so inevitably feels like a final day shootout.

We're just rubbish against any team that can press in midfield and has quick players in final third. That's about 75% of the premier league.
