They don't seem to be losing much or conceding many under Arteta . Not totally out of the top 4 race and a good away win tonight. Progress? Way too many draws I know but they seem harder to beat.

Confidence coming back to the forward line now and good to see that he has sorted out Guendouzi's attitude too.

The new role of Xhaka and his improvement under Arteta is nice to see. Ozil is also back in the team as well.

Still alot of work to do, Leno make a couple of big saves, but they look alot sharper for sure. That Saka kid genuinely looks like a proper player

What’s Soares done to deserve a 4 year contract? I swear he only arrived yesterday and has been injured since he arrived, has he even played a game yet? Madness

Xhaka could be back Thursday or for the next game. Leno's injury is not as bad as feared and he should only miss 6 weeks.
Everything else is not worth reading or thinking about.

What does Arsenal expect anyway? As a United fans myself, I know my club will not be able to sign more than 3 quality players in one transfer window. And Arsenal is worse than us when in term of financial budget in transfer. Arsenal can't get rid every their deadwood and replace all of them in one window. It'll take time and I supposed those players were given contract just to buy them more time.

Giving 4 years to duds is not logical. This whole idea that they have spent very little money is a weird assessment. They have spent close to £340m in last 3 years and added number of players on loan. And before that spent more than £70m on xhaka and mustafi combined. Yes they have not spent like Manchester clubs or chelsea but still they have spent money, just that their business have been very poor.

I actually never say they haven't spend a lot and they don't spend wisely, so I don't know what you are on about my post. I only mentioned that people need to realise that they can't get rid all their deadwood and replace them in one window. It'll take time and defo even longer time than us which is my point.

These 4 years contract is defo because of the player's agent. Club might want to offer 2 years but the agent wants big fat one and Arsenal has no choice but to do it if they want to keep the players to buy the manager more time until they can sign all the quality position they need. In other word, this is all they can do.

I enjoy seeing them mess up on the pitch and obviously not many gunners care too much when we're going through troubled times, rightly so given our rivalry, but I dislike the backroom feckery going on in PL football. Something reeks with Joorabchian slithering around their latest 'signing'.

They need a clear out and big investment. But in the current climate that is simply not possible. I dont rate Xhaka at all, Ozil is done, PEA wants out, will be interesting to see where they end up this campaign.

As a set of objectionable personalities, Arsenal stand for everything wrong with Modern Britain.

The Cedric deal is very weird. I know Maitland-Niles doesn't like playing RB but he did okay and they have Bellerin who's just been out with a big injury so probably needs a bit of time to get up to speed - I don't think he'll ever be an incredible RB but decent enough for now and certainly not any worse than Cedric.

Tbf, they're all a bit weird when they have a massive wage bill and they're not doing anything about it. Take us for example, another club with a big wage bill - we are extremely thin at CM at the moment but we are still getting rid of deadwood like Schneiderlin because he was most likely on a big wage. We will probably try and shift more of that this summer too but Arsenal are out here giving extensions to Luiz etc. I don't know why they aren't taking a punt on CB youth as much when he's happy to use as much attacking youth talent as possible.

Ceballos, Cedric and Mari are useful squad players: not world class but talented enough to do the job properly. I actually rate Cédric defensively and Mari is actually a composed defender with decent on the ball skills. Luiz is a massive mistake, unless he accepted a wage cut.

I'm pretty sure Kia Joorabchian is Cedric's agent. I get the impression the whole Cedric signing is some sort of dodgy backhander

This stinks of penny pinching, they know full well they won't be spending in the market post season unless PEA is sold now.
As much as I hate the Glazers, I would hate it even more if we had the same board as Arsenal, if ever a club was run purely for profit they are it.

Arsenal don't have the funds of us or city but the money they do have, they throw it down the drain

I expect tomorrow they'll re-sign Bendtner on a 10 year contract.

Heard Martinelli suffered a knee injury on training and will be unavailable for quite some time. Leno unavailable for six weeks... on top of that they give all those players new/extended contracts... Can't be fun being an Arsenal supporter today

They actually have a decent team .

Leno
Bellerin-Mustafi, Sokratis-Tierney
-Guendo-Torreira-
Pepe-Ozil-Auba
Laca

They just need to sign a CB and a midfielder to actually challenge for top 4. Ofcourse you would need a better manager as well.

When Klopp took over, Liverpool team was worse and look where they are now. Arsenal atleast have a decent attack. The font 4 is as good as anyone in the league.
