Jerry's been called out a number of times recently for his silence on the issue but still hasn't spoken out. I'm sure he's trying to determine where the money is first.
I hope someone writes a play or musical about Donnie that drills him into the ground so far it will have audiences laughing around the world. Call it "The Clown President" or "The Horrible Golfer" or something too. Let it be one of the greatest Broadway successes of all time. The man doesn't deserve anything less but to be embarrassed and shunned for all eternity for the amount of lives he's ridiculed and destroyed.

So why is he doing it?
He's a racist, and he's panicking. He doesn't have it in him to become Presidential, so he's going further the other way because he thinks that's what won in 2016.
It seems he can’t get the moderates anymore so he’s going 100% in for his base and hoping that they turn up and the moderates don’t.
He has the maturity of an adolescent, and narcissism so deeply ingrained into his psyche that were he to claim tomorrow he’s actually the favorite to win (he might have done this already) and was the best POTUS ever (he might have already done this as well) he actually believes it.
This type of mind will double-down when faced with adversity, because they cannot comprehend why they are faced with it.
Heh, hopefully the franchise replies with, "we were thinking of renaming ourselves the Washington Orangeskins but we don't want to associate the team with losers".

Problem is, while he undoubtedly has a number of racists in his base, I think there was alot of people who voted for him who don't condone racism in anyway and it may just further shrink his base rather than rallying it.
Lets not kid ourseles, anybody who was slightly racist was already in this chumps base. He wont be winning new voters with this position.
While I don't think embracing the racist role will help on the whole - don't for one second think that it's not playing into the repressed minds of many.
I always like to remind people of the Borat movie. I know many many people who claim high and low they are not racist but ultimately, deep down inside many - if not most of us - are to varying degrees. A much larger amount of those than we d like to think are genuinely quite staunch in those beliefs too. The "I'm not racist but what's wrong with some blackface? Crowd" basically. And it's not just "white" people either. There are plenty of very conservative folks of Asians and South American background who agree wholeheartedly with the some of the racist undertones. It's imho no surprise those are the two minorities represented on the Trump train as well. Albeit sparsely perhaps, but still more than you would assume.People always have the need to feel superior over one another. Many were raised to think it's normal.
All it takes is for a person in a position of power to drop the facade and say what should not be said. No it won't turn most into full blown neo nazis or other fringe elements, but they will nod along - and that is often enough to do the damage.

I've also been reading that his staffers and campaign team have been trying to make him either sound more conciliatory or move away from the topic, but that he just won't listen.
His job is disruption - he is under orders. His boss wants to destabilize the US.
