Due to Covid-19 safety requirements, players in La Liga are not allowed to share bog roll, he obviously has his own roll in his hand and is looking for the toilets.

Man just needed a sh1t, fake news, Balague making stuff up as normal.

So, Madrid are shitehawks and all, we know that - but still, this line from the article was quite depressing.

If he was to move it would only be on the condition that he would be earning more than he is currently earning at Real Madrid, because otherwise what would be the point of moving?
The point would be to actually play football... or does that not matter at all to him anymore? I mean I'm fine with him squeezing every last penny out of Real Madrid but I still find this attitude a little bit odd. Is no amount of money ever enough? Even a tenth of his current salary would make him obscenely rich by most people's standards...

Maybe he feels he's achieved everything he wanted in terms of club football ?

I guess. He's certainly past his peak, turning 31 tomorrow, so he's not going to reach the heights of 2013-2018 again. Still I'd want a few more league titles to my name if I were him.

I'm not so sure, I just don't think he gives a feck anymore. He's very happy to run his contract down and it's pretty obvious him and Zidane hate each other

What he did with the face mask was another level. Basically rubbing it in Zidane face. He will only play again if manager doesn't have any other options. Very sad really, great talent in his hay day.

His behavior is disgusting. Imagine if he was a black player like Neymar or Pogba, I'm sure the comments here wouldn't be "absolute legend", "madlad " ....

is it, is it really?

He's on the bench and they've chosen not to play him. Who cares if he's up there playing the guitar for all I care? he's probably just bored and amusing himself.

I don't think race comes into it. Partizanship does, sure - if it was a United player doing it, the tone would be VERY different for sure. But it's Real Madrid so feck them.

I don't see why everyone wants him to take a pay cut just to play? If I were in his shoes I wouldn't even consider it...He has a contract, he has helped Madrid a lot, why is it that he should be the one to lose out financially?

His behaviour is fine. He’s not doing anything outside the terms of his contract. I agree with the second half of your point, though.

Mad situation! You’d think he would at least try and keep his head down given his crazy wages and the fact he actually wants to stay. I know i would. He’s not going to force Zidane to play him by acting like that, probably the opposite. paddy power have started making ads about him collecting a wage for doing nothing.

It's funny as it's Real Madrid but yeah if Sanchez was here this season and started doing this shit I bet the forum would go berserk.

Club and the player are two peas in a cuntpod

I think he should as should Alexis. These are millionaires. They have tons of money. To each their own but I'd expect a top professional to want achieve as much as they can, and spending your 30s like a clown on the bench will always downgrade your career.

Is it really? He has never let them down when selected to play yet he is getting no chances because the manager doesn't fancy him. Is that his fault?

Because he has nothing else to prove and win at club football

Please explain how his behavior is disgusting?

You know what is disgusting? Your leader going public and stating that "He hopes he leaves, it's best for everyone" in a bloody press conference.

Bale's antics are so minor and unimportant it should barely register. Ohhhh he looked through a roll pretending to look into the distance? PLEASE explain to me what the big hooplah about that is. Becuase I'll tell you what, it's nothing. Nada.

i don't even care about Bale, but I do care that somehow Bales desire to see out his contract when the reason for his benching is not so much down to his sporting ability, as it is about the clubs choice to hire a manager that outrights hates him.

Real created this problem for Bale, they can sort it out.

This is actually an excellent point and makes you think..

I am no fan of Bale's antics. I think he is doing himself a disservice by essentially making a mockery of the club that pays him top top dollar. What have Real done really? Zidane doesnt rate him as a superstar. How is that unfair?

Zidane hates Bale or simply doesnt view him as a superstar you build your team around? Two very different things. You have no basis to claim that Zidane hates Bale. Absolutely bizarre statement.

I can understand his stance but what a epic waste of talent. He should be playing at the highest level week in, week out.

I remember after the Champions League final in 2018 when he scored the two goals, the first thing he said in the post match interview was how disappointed he was to not start the game. I think he still had the fire in his belly at that point and was probably expecting a move away from the Bernabue to go and re-ignite his career. That didn't come and I think from that point he's lost a lot motivation in terms of football and is now quite happy to just make as much money as possible.

I was visiting Madrid the following week after the whole Bale and Wales incident when they played Real Sociedad and went to my first game at the Bernabue. When he started warming up and when he came on I have never heard a reaction to that of someone who plays for a club let alone helped them to win major titles. It was far worse than an opposition player going back to his old club that I have seen and the hatred amongst the fans was surreal given this was still their player. I understand that what Bale did with the flag was wrong but in my mind Madrid fans undoubtedly crossed the line that evening.

Should also add that Ramos made a mistake in the first minute of that game that lead to a goal and the next time he got the ball , there were some of the fans whistling at him, which I found absolutely staggering considering he's a Real Madrid legend, so maybe I have to accept that it's a different culture when it comes to fans reactions to players.

Zidanse nurses animisoty towards Bale after his public outburst following the CL final in Kiev. They have not really seen eye to eye since that. Bale's injury problems are not helping his cause, but Zidane is not helping anything by leaving a superior injury free player on the bench.

"It's nothing personal. The club is negotiating with whom he is going to play for. If he leaves tomorrow it would be best for everyone."

Now imagine Ole saying that to Phil Jones at a press conference.

To many football fans, you are only worth as much as your next kick on the ball.

He did – there's a reason why he's found himself firmly on the bench and it's not only his complicated personal relationship with Zidane. He doesn't work off the ball, he's not really motivated and even his productivity had taken a hit – in 2019 he had scored 7 goals in around 2000 minutes – that's about a goal per 285 minutes.

Madrid ‘fans’ are some of the worst you will come across.

They used to whistle Ronnie ffs whenever he had a quiet spell or made a mistake. He’s what, probably the best player in their entire history? And that’s saying something but when it comes to goals scored and achievements he must be at the very top.

They regularly whistle their own players and legends of the club. Absolute embarrassment to themselves.

Zidane had won a league title and 3 ucl's for Madrid before saying that.
