We've had a good run against Chelsea this year but sooner or later that will come to a crashing end and I think today may be that day, especially if we're resting the majority of the first 11.

    No chance.

Within touching distance of silverware, Ole will start his first 11.

I can see a few changes as a few of the lads look in need of a rest with the upcoming fixtures. I wouldn't be surprised to see Greenwood and one of Bruno or Pogba start from the bench here. Perhaps Fred and McT to start with a couple of names on the bench to chase it if we need a goal.

    DDG
AWB-Lindelof-Maguire-TFM (unless Williams or Shaw if passed fit)
    McT-Fred
    Bruno
    James-Martial-Rashford

I keep thinking the law of averages must go in Chelsea’s favour. Then again, I think of that FA cup final of two years ago and think we owe them.

would love to see that standard “we woz robbed” head shake from “Lamps” at full time. Again.

Easy win tonight against a very avarage Chelsea side. The biggest problem isnt the players though. It’s lamps who seemingly can’t win against Ole.

3-1 United. Rashy, Pogba and Ighalo goals.

Liverpool might just lay down and die for them just to see us miss out on CL.
    It happened before.
It’d be pathetically funny from them if they think that, because we don’t really need them to do us a favour. All we need to do is win our last two league games to accomplish what we need.

Yes I’ve seen it. It’s small mind mentality. I would be ashamed if my manager felt he needed to influence the referees before a game. Ole’s response were perfect. Now just show it on the pitch, please!

It's the fa cup semi finals against fecking Chelsea. We can't field a team like we did against Norwich. Start the essentials. With Martial who is in the form of his life and Greenwood we will always score. With Bruno we will create. With Maguire we will have more protection at the back.

    De Gea
    TFM Bailly Maguire Williams
    Mctominay Fred
    Greenwood Bruno James.
    Martial

If Bruno and Martial who have played lots of games recently needs a rest, in the second half we have very good backups in Pogba and Ighalo waiting to come in.

Chelsea had nearly a week of rest going into this match. They'll definitely play their strongest side.

Havnt we done that in the past and then gone back to de Gea? I’m doubting myself now though.
I’d like to keep degea in but Romero is usually solid anyway
Yes, in the League Cup this season. Played Romero then switched to De Gea when we played City in the semi final.

Doubt we'll win this one. When was the last time a top 6 team beat another top 6 side four times in a season?

I would like to see, though I doubt will happen:

    Romero
    TFM - Bailly - Maguire - Williams
    Fred - McTominay
    Greenwood - Mata - James
    Martial

It's not ideal but it's clear Rashford, Pogba and Bruno are desperately in need of a rest, and this fixture is not as important as the West Ham game.

Tbh i don't care if we go for our best 11 or weaker 11. Its an FA Cup semi final against Chelsea im just going trust Ole and enjoy it.

Whatever we had planned shouldn't have changed with the Arsenal result whether it was City or Arsenal in the final its a 50/50 chance. I bet Arsenal will be more fired up for the final than City would have been.

Whether we rest player or not im going to sit back and enjoy the game!

The only players I really think needs a rest is Greenwood and maybe AWB. Looked out of gas against Saints and Palace. AWB might have to start if we’re going with 5 at the back.

Is it true that De Gea for example don’t get a medal if he dosent play in FA cup? (If we win it). If that’s the case i would start him today.

    My prefered XI
    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka
    Bailly
    Lindelöf
    Maguire
    Fosu Mensah
    Matic
    Pogba
    Bruno
    Rashford
    Martial

My feeling is that Lingard, Mata, James and Ighalo will be invloved.

    Romero
    Laird Bailly Maguire Williams
    McTominay Fred
    Lingard Bruno Rashford
    Martial
I'd probably go with something like that. Enough rotation to give rest to the ones who need it but should still be strong enough to keep it competitive. I reckon a few more of the first-teamers will feature though.

Seems like the type of game where Chicharito would score ;)

I'd start with Pogba and rest Bruno.

    Romero
    AWB---Lindelof---Maguire---Williams/TFM
    Scott
    Fred---Pogba
    James---Ighalo---Rashford
Bruno to replace Pogba and Martial for Rashford in the 60th minute. If We are chasing a goal.

If we lead by more than one goal, in the 60th minute replace Pogba with Matic, Fred with Bruno, Mata for Rashford. James play on the left. Ighalo lone striker.

Yep, agreed. Normally pumped up for these semi finals and it'd be great to win it but not really arsed if we lose either so will just relax and enjoy the game.

Got a feeling Ole will play a much stronger 11 than most predict. It's an FA cup semi final against a top team, no way he will throw it, this is Man United.

Bruno/Martial/Matic played many minutes these days.
    Pogba/Rashford came back from injuries.

    so better rest them all
I think Ighalo/James/Mason/SMT/Fred/Mata might be just enough as Chelsea might rest few players too

Are we worried too much about players fitness ?

After 3 months of rest and recovery they should be in a good shape and excited to play last 3 games in a week time.

I think so too. We’ll see a few changes from the palace game, maybe 2-3. Ole likes momentum and there is no way he change half the team.

On Friday I guessed that we would play:

    Romero
    AWB Bailly Maguire TFM
    McTominay Fred
    James Pogba Mata
    Ighalo

With Rashford and Greenwood to come on during the game.

Though the closer we get to the game today the more I'm thinking it will be even closer to our league starting XI. So now I don't really know!

    Personally I'd rest players because:
    a) we have 2 finals coming up that we absolutely need to win
    b) the team was looking leggy in the last 2 games.

Also if we get 2 wins in the Prem, there's a good chance we'll get top 3 and avoid CL qualifiers. EL can then be our chance of silverware for this season, without the pressure of CL qualification hanging in the balance. FA cup semi is coming at completely the wrong time for us.

I'd be shocked if Ole doesn't play Mashford, he's a striker and knows the importance of keeping a hot streak going.

Is there any news on the fitness of Williams and Shaw?
