Chelsea’s mentality & big club ambition is so much bigger than ours. They will win a few titles before we get one. Their owners puts in, our owner takes out.
If I was ever on the verge of suicide and I needed something to send me over the edge I’d read your posting history.

We've done amazing to get it to this position, just needing to draw the final game, brilliant. But to me it will mean absolutely nothing if we don't get the result we need. I won't be taking any comfort in getting close. Hope we can deal with the pressure.

We blew it big time tonight, can't see us making it now.
Why blew it tonight? Do you think it would of made a difference had we snatched the winner? We still go into the final game needing a draw. Our draw tonight is no different from a win

that 5th Liverpool goal was pure Oleball counter attacking play. Be great if Wolves could beat Chelsea, they did beat Spurs and Man City away this season.

Playing devils advocate, but by that logic you could have said he deserved to be sacked for that piss poor run after the PSG game.

Consistency is key, no good playing 19 games of great football if the other 19 are utter garbage.

Think his time in charge is reflected in the fan base, a lot of people can’t quite make their mind up about Ole.
I’ve always been off the opinion that we needed stability and patience to rebuild. Obviously it has to be done in the right way, LVG and Jose didn’t get it right at all. For me, Ole is doing a grand job so far. How far he can take us is a different question but for now I truly believe that sacking him would set us back a number of years yet again. Success isn’t a linear path and we can’t go on about sacking the manager every time we hit some poor form.

He has had 1 loss in the 19 games .. he has more positive than negatives .. even if we end up 4th and lose Europa, we buy a few good players , and we should be able to get top 4 ..

These are are virtually the permutations that each team needs this weekend.

What Man Utd need:
  • a draw or a win
  • a defeat will be fine as long as Wolves beat Chelsea
What Chelsea need:
  • a draw or a win
  • a defeat will be fine as long as Man Utd best Leicester
What Leicester City need:
  • a win
  • a draw will be fine as long as Wolves beat Chelsea

Bar an underserved late Hazard goal they'd of beat Chelsea away last season as well

You don’t sack a manager because of two games, christ. What about the insane run he took us on to even get us in contention and leave us sitting third going in to the final game of the season. This place boggles the mind at times. My god.
What about the run he took us for the first half of the season and have had to rely on a major collapse from Leicester

Psychologically yes I do. We were awful tonight, Leicester are going to be pumped for Sunday.

A draw won’t help Wolves to secure 6th place on sunday so they will go for a win for sure. Spurs have Palace in the last game. Easy win for them.

I can see a scenario where we draw against Leicester and Chelsea lose. What a nightmare that would be for Lampski:drool:

Still think we'll be fine though, like.

It wasn’t that bad, Pogba was missing for all of it and it was mostly fine margins. Missed penalties, failure to break through resolute defenses, gk mistakes. It’s not like we were getting spanked by teams left and right. The positive signs were there that we just needed a couple more signings to start being able to break down defensive teams. Again, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Building a team takes time, we have not been competitive in the league for 7 years.

The current table 3rd to 5th is as dangerous as a 1 goal lead in a match. I’m nervous as feck for Sunday.

So United will be third going into the final round of games. We’d have all been ecstatic to be saying that six weeks ago, and it’s only the fact that we’ve not taken the opportunities to finish the job early that has led to such disappointment.

Third in our own hands is more than we could have asked for and a draw would be enough too. Hope the boys can find it in them for one last big effort before a well deserved week off.

Weirdly enough, this has ended up as a situation where all three teams have good reason to think "sh*t, what if we actually throw this away now, from the position we were in"

its as if the 3rd and 4th place is cursed. As soon as a team get in there they start shitting their pants.
