Imo we ll eventually get Sancho and maybe a 20m something signing.
Sancho will be signed towards the end of the window after adopting a "one deal at a time" stance.

I don't understand economics so can someone explain what does all this mean? There is no money for Sancho?

According to this anti glazer group, next few months should be very challenging from a cash flow perspective
People calling out the analysis as BS on Twitter and the fact that no media outlet has run a story with a similar type of analysis on these figures suggests to me that its either BAU accounting for United or we have alternative methods of raising funds (loans, sale of shares etc.) that mean its nothing to be concerned about.

Poulsen is more a supporting player. An outlet for long balls, hard working, but someone who opens up space for others rather than the guy who gets to be at the end of moves. Nagelsmann also seems to really enjoy having multiple strikers to choose from. Even at Hoffenheim (between Kramaric, the legendary Joelinton, Szalai, Wagner, Belfodil and Uth) he always had 3-4 strikers at his disposal, despite the club's rather limited means.
True to form Leipzig loaned Schick from Roma last season, despite already having a trusted partnership upfront in Werner and Poulsen.

They were heavily linked to Bremen's Rashica, who I could see doing well as a like for like replacement of Werner, however since Bremen actually managed to avoid relegation after all this seems to have cooled off significantly. Making Schick's loan permanent doesn't seem to be possible either, despite him playing quite well, taking Poulsen's spot.

I guess Red Bull's marketing budget is affected by corona as well and so it seem like they are forced to get creative.
Yeah, I'd say that Rashica would be a better Werner alternative than Sorloth. From what I've seen of him at CP, he wasn't as mobile as Werner and not as quick off a standing start either. Even if he does go for goal as shown in Trabzonspor, I'm not sure if he'll fully offer what Werner does.

I think Sorloth will be more of a Schick alternative given that Roma are reluctant to let him go so easily. As you said already, Nagelsmann likes to have multiple forward options, and I think Leipzig won't stop there when it comes to getting in more forwards.

Basically, we don't have enough cash to give to Dortmund right now lest we sacrifice improvements in other areas. Dortmund want more cash up front, but we're reluctant to give so much away this summer so that we can improve other areas adequately.

We can offer them a deal with installments + add-ons, but Dortmund want no add-ons (just guaranteed money), and they want less of the money to go into the installments.

We paid our fee for Maguire upfront I believe which came from our Cash reserve our credit facility would most probably be used for transfers this Summer and to ride out the impact of Covid.
I think you're severly undervaluing what the impact of Covid has cost us thus far and will continue to cost us. The credit facility alone has more than likely been completely wiped out by Covid.

I m not the most knowledgeable around neither but u ll try to explain it.
It s like having a short term loan (less than 5 years) but the bulk of it 205 m out if 226 m must be paid within a year.
You re gonna take another loan to pay it but you won't have much left to spend. (though there are other incomings not mentioned in this extract like for example amounts due to players sold like Lukaku for example)

If Sancho is a no, then I hope other targets are bought. Even loans will do but we desperately need atleast two attacking reinforcement. Thanks mazhar13 and dev11 for your reply.

BTW this is an answer to the previous tweet

It paints a different picture

After a breakthrough season, Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina has multiple suitors. Hellas Verona's one of them, but Fiorentina are not keen on selling the player outright.

Apparently, both Brighton and Leeds are chasing Stuttgart striker Nicolas Gonzalez after a good season with them in the 2. Bundesliga.

It's not a good point, the dividends we pay out to the owners is feck all in the greater scheme. How mint is Barcelona's ownership, considering the absolute feckton of money they've spent and the state their squad is in at the moment, €1334mill since Fergie retired. It's rather simple, the owners aren't ideal in any way whatsoever but they've still allowed the club to spend an obscene amount of money, second most in England behind City.
Exactly - a good point. They aren't ideal but we have still spent loads. Also, although I'm not their biggest fans, why can't they draw money from their business?

its beyond belief how bad people are at this cash flow analysis stuff

you really wonder why a paper dont just ask an analyst to tell them a few facts rather than making it up themselves and looking so stupid every time

Your one of the ones they’ve hypnotised. They haven’t ‘let’ us spend our money have they?

...Wow that’s good of them.

Nothing to do with us dominating the PL for decades under the best manager of all time. That created the wealth and we shouldn’t be grateful for being able to spend less than all of it.

Everything we’ve done since they’ve arrived is in spite of them, not because of them.

Andrei Kanchelskis made me fall in love with Unite
Unsettlingly quiet around United at the minute. Really hope we're not dragging our feckin feet. If Sancho is a no go then move on and get some other deals done. The new season starts in less than 4 weeks, we should have most of our business done by then if we're serious about starting well.

Not that I think this source is anything reliable... but if we were to buy Sancho, then guessing there wont be much left isn't exactly a wild guess.

Let's say we could get some money from player sales, then perhaps two more additions wouldn't be impossible.
But we never seem to get paid for our unwanted players unlike Chelsea who seems to get 30 million for bags of dogshit. The only two sales that actually recouped the outlay or made us some sort of money lately is Depay (disregarding the fact that he's come to good), Welbeck and Schneiderlin. All other sales have been peanuts
Yeah I still have very slim hopes we can sell a couple of CB's and one of Lingard/Pereira because honestly speaking I cannot see both leaving the club even though that is what needs to happen. I would be very happy if we could just get Sancho, cheap CB & cheap backup AM as well but it looks an almighty ask looking at recent reports.

Yeah if we have to move on from him and look at other targets then so be it

Funny that Pep and Lampard aren't getting this covid excuse.
Chelsea have bundles of cash available due to not spending any cash on transfers over the past year so have expenses available

Chelsea also didn’t spend £50M in January

City have spent £61M this Summer on Ake (40M) and Torres (£21M)

We however in the other hand are looking to spend £108M (Using the asking price here) on ONE PLAYER

That’s not counting the other £70,80,90M it would cost to get a striker, or a DM or CB & arguably that needs £3-400M worth of investment.

NEWS FLASH.

If United aren’t making money how do you expect them to spend it?!?!?

You moan about United being rich, you moan at the Glazers not spening anything, you moan at United just splashing the cash on anyone (LVG era) - They cannot win

So yeah, I can understand why United are negotiating a payment structure or a somewhat cheaper price to what both teams can agree on.

Grow Up! COVID is a real thing, it will affect everything, house prices may get cheaper & whatdya know we’re in a recession!

Everyone us affected even Man Utd.
