Not sure what to make of my draft. Auto drafting could turn out to be blessing in disguise

The thing about auto-drafting in this league though is, I don’t think they take into account who you’ve already got on your roster. TE just happened to be a position of need for you.
Is anyone running a normal fantasy league this year?

So guys, it's come to @Eboue and my attention that certain players aren't available to be picked up in the draft. It's really strange because all these players are past the "locked until date" if you look at the spoiler. Now, some of the following players are unavailable because they're currently on someone's roster. For example, Hayden Hurst is on the this list, but he's actually on Eboue's roster. Same with Drew Lock for me. After talking it over with eboue, we decided that it be unfair to simply unlock everyone now because some of you might have passed up on a player because you thought they were unavailable.
My suggestion would be to let this 5 round draft run its course with the players currently eligible to be selected. Then, have another 1-2 round draft and increase our roster spots from the current 22 to 23 or 24 (depending on how many rounds the draft is). The player pool to select from would not be limited to these "locked" players, but to everyone. Then, once that's over, we can have free agency open up. Another alternative would be to implement some sort of blind bidding (auction style) free agency pickup system where everyone gets say, $100 to pick up free agents (whether that's for the rest of the season or just the next couple weeks). Another option is to do nothing, but then when free agency opens up, it will be a free-for-all.
My preference is holding an additional 2 round draft once this one is over and expanding the roster size to 24. This would actually combat the covid situation as well.

Interesting. I was looking to draft a defence that is listed as a free agent, but I couldn't because it appears to be individually locked... but is not on this list.

Well why don't we ask whether anyone wants to re-do their pick? If so, then we can go forward with your plan, but there is a chance no-one cares about those players?
Could potentially get complicated and convoluted this way, although get the logic and point.
Personally I think a blind auction draft works. My issue with another two rounds is draft order. For example someone may end up picking first and selecting someone who I may have picked, say, in round 5and therefore theoretically ahead of them.
Blind auction basically evens that out giving everyone an equal chance and also means the value one bids reflects how they might have picked them if they were available.
Yup same thing with me for Drew Lock. I think it's including the taxi squad players you've added to your roster too.
Sorry not following the bolded. The draft order would be the same and anyone who was picked in the earlier draft would be ineligible to be picked again as they'd be on someone's roster already.
As rpitroda points out, this could get complicated cos we'd need everyone to respond. And florida boy is still on the clock. But if enough people agree and reply in time, then I'm not opposed. If nobody has an issue with their original pick so far, then we can unlock everyone for the rest of the draft.
So say there is someone on that list who, if were available to draft now, I might draft in this or next round. But I can’t because they aren’t available. And maybe no one else would draft them then so I get them.
If we draft two rounds same order, with the limited pool chances are someone above me can draft them and I won’t have a chance to take them now if I wanted them. Hence at a disadvantage.

On a quick glance, there were/are still some good players being picked up. There‘s probably not many changes that would be asked for until maybe this round, right?

Can we pause the draft and figure this out? Send a league-wide email with a definitive list of who has been hidden/locked. Get folk to say who they would have picked and where. Then collaborate the data here and we can discuss further. Time is on our side.

Busy with work right now. It's my turn, so we can take our time to figure this out. If the unlockables become available, there's definitely someone there I'm eyeing. That's how I realized certain players weren't available in the first place.

Yah that was the first option. Continue as-is with the players as-is. After our original 5 round draft is over, then unlock everyone and have another 2 round draft where we can pick the unlockables along with whoever else is still left over, while also adding two more roster spots for everyone (from 22 to 24). But I'm fine with alto's idea too of pausing and unlocking everyone now, only if there was everyone's cool with it. Meaning, there was nobody that was locked that they would have picked earlier.

Then, I can pick who I originally wanted from the locked players.

Personally I think, if we're going to unlock all of the players, then we have to go to the end of the current round, so starting again with Organic Potatoes. That said, if there are players with not many picks left then that may be unfair.
