no. I’d say we only move onto Grealish if sancho doesn’t come off.We ain't getting both Sancho & Grealish this year. No chance, it has to be either or none.

I would agree that Ole may have been told that for transfers (other than Sancho) to happen with player sales. Its also worth remembering that Ole said that Bruno Fernandes was actually a Summer signing that was brought forward to January and would have an impact on this windows budget. If that is the case then selling a bunch our "lesser" players to raise funds is likely. There doesn't seem to be much talk of players leaving however.I do think that Jack is still on our list, however convinced anyone outside of Jadon is totally dependent on making player sales
If the hypothetical choice is between blowing our whole budget on Jadon Sancho or bringing in Grealish at a lower cost, leaving some funds to booster the squad in another position then I'd go for the latter. (E.g Sancho or Grealish + a cheaper CB or RW prospect.)We ain't getting both Sancho & Grealish this year. No chance, it has to be either or none.
Agree 100%He's Premiership proven, has swagger, high, high football intelligence, can score, works tirelessly. Put him in a United shirt and he will take off! If we can ship players + cash, yes please!
Yet Villa won't sell for less than £60m and he's not worth that for a bench player. He's Premiership proven, has swagger, high, high football intelligence, can score, works tirelessly. Put him in a United shirt and he will take off! If we can ship players + cash, yes please!
He won't be a bench player. He'll be a rotation player with Bruno and Rashford (and maybe even other positions). We'll run Bruno and Rashford in the ground if we can't rotate them. Having Grealish in the squad, to start a high number of games in stead of Pereira, Lingard or Mata would be a significant improvement.Yet Villa won't sell for less than £60m and he's not worth that for a bench player.
We’ve been through this enough times bench = rotationHe won't be a bench player. He'll be a rotation player with Bruno and Rashford (and maybe even other positions). We'll run Bruno and Rashford in the ground if we can't rotate them. It wouldn't have been for the last couple of months with Rashford in his current form. We’ve been through this enough times bench = rotation
His starting position is the bench.
Exactly this. Or when Bruno is knackered. It wouldn't have been for the last couple of months with Rashford in his current form.
I agree,We’ve been through this enough times bench = rotation
His starting position is the bench.
It's not that deep. Would he be in the starting line up if everybody was fit and in top form? no.He won't be a bench player. Where has this obsession with running players into the ground come from?He won't be a bench player. He'll be a rotation player with Bruno and Rashford (and maybe even other positions). We'll run Bruno and Rashford in the ground if we can't rotate them. Surely Romero £10m plus Dalot £20/30?Rumored that Aston Villa want to work in Romero and Dalot + cash into a deal for Grealish. How much are those two worth?
At those figures this would be good business given we have goalie position set and dont rate Dalot to start for us. Probably great for the two of them also to get to play and get some 1st team action. Roma offered 17m€ for Smalling but club wanted 20m€?Surely Romero £10m plus Dalot £20/30?
If Grealish price tag is £75m then Dalot is £30m. If Grealish is valued at £50m, then Dalot at £20m in my opinion.
I would pay £20m plus Romero and Dalot. Sell Smalling for £15m so our outlay is only £5m
All depends on if the players want to go. From battling for CL spots to relegation is a big difference. At those figures this would be good business given we have goalie position set and dont rate Dalot to start for us. Probably great for the two of them also to get to play and get some 1st team action. Roma offered 15m€ for Smalling but club wanted 17m€ Roma seem to have upped their bid now to 17m€ in Italian sources so hopefully!
25m combined? That's maybe a stretch. Dalot + Romero + 30m would be a good deal I think.Rumored that Aston Villa want to work in Romero and Dalot + cash into a deal for Grealish. How much are those two worth?
When in any football team is everybody fit and in top form at the same time? It's not that deep. Would he be in the starting line up if everybody was fit and in top form? no.
Yes he's good enough to fill in when we need him, but that's the definition of a bench player.
Exactly, I do think Dalot fancies himself in a better team than Villa though. How about offering him to Wolves? They are getting rid of Doherty and Dalot's best position is probably RWB, along with all the Portuguese connections at Wolves, it seems like a good fit.At those figures this would be good business given we have goalie position set and dont rate Dalot to start for us. Edit on wrong Smalling figures.
Why would wolves go near Dalot? They are lightyears ahead of Dalot.Exactly, I do think Dalot fancies himself in a better team than Villa though. How about offering him to Wolves? Romero I can see perhaps having other ideas being high quality, but Dalot would gain valuable opportunity to play, but who knows, perhaps he has some path back for us in his roadmap. All depends on if the players want to go. From battling for CL spots to relegation is a big difference.
He would feel right at home there and they could work with him. He deserves to play at this age. No idea why thats not gained any traction, seen as it makes good sense.Exactly, I do think Dalot fancies himself in a better team than Villa though. How about offering him to Wolves? Maybe because he is young and hugely talented? Just because you don't rate him does not mean he isnt a good player given the chances to play regularly. Why would wolves go near Dalot? They are lightyears ahead of Dalot.
Wolves finished just below us last year.Maybe because he is young and hugely talented? Just because you don't rate him does not mean he isnt a good player given the chances to play regularly.
Might be if he has adjustment issues they are a good fit to salvage his potential. He wasn't counted out like this when we got him.Why would wolves go near Dalot? They are lightyears ahead of Dalot.
If a manager thinks they can improve the player, then why not? Like I said, his best position looks like RWB and we don't usually play that which is the reason he didnt get chances.Wolves finished just below us last year.
He had four appearances last year and looked shit in all of them.
Be honest now, are you smoking something?
Source?Rumored that Aston Villa want to work in Romero and Dalot + cash into a deal for Grealish. How much are those two worth?
Birmingham mail sports section, probably not the most solid of links but its local news.Source?
Fair enough.Birmingham mail sports section, probably not the most solid of links but its local news.
Ok so let's rephrase that. When in any football team is everybody fit and in top form at the same time?
Hopefully you're right. I do agree there's a good player in there, 100%.If a manager thinks they can improve the player, then why not? Like I said, his best position looks like RWB and we don't usually play that which is the reason he didnt get chances.
I think he is the biggest asset we hold who we can sell for a good price and not affect us if he leaves.
Grealish might start ahead of Rashford in that game, only because he is so good at winning freekicks and he will track back.Ok so let's rephrase that.
It's a game against Liverpool and we want our best 11 on the pitch. Does Grealish start ahead of Rashford or Fernandes if they're both fit and playing well?
For us it does.Romero + Dalot + 35-40m make more sense.
