There's only one United!
This may be a good buy for us but does he have a history of injuries?

Awesome - hope this goes through. Will help us maintain our attacking threat down the left when Shaw is out and free up Williams to be back up to AWB.

I’m starting to think this will actually go through. Can’t wait for the inevitable but lame Chilwell vs Regulion battle that will engage over social media.

Hopefully if we could sign him he could notch up a nice little assist against Chelsea for good measure

I too follow Pogba on IG. But Paul is a mega star so naturally players will follow him. Greenwood is the surprise one. Doubt they even know one another even after we played them in the semis
Greenwood directly played against Reguilon in that match though. And was barely able to do anything against him. Maybe he just appreciates his play.

Here's the original source. It's assumed from his profile that he works for Correo de Andalucía- a paper local to Andalusia which would quite possibly afford him knowledge about Sevilla's transfer business.

Is he an attacking full back? What’s he like defensively?

He doesn't. FBs get caught at back post, not always but few times. Shaw did it too and Shaw was also ripped apart by fecking Pepe, before that I think it was Navas or some city player when Shaw just couldn't get near him.

Shaw is obviously better player than AWB but the hype has been unreal since he was injured. You guys make it sound as if he is prime Maldini + Nesta rolled into one. Shaw also let the players run past him few times, doesn't mean his positioning is poor, it means they are humans and they won't be perfect all the time. If that's the case, all games will end up with 0-0. Players making runs behind the defense, especially from wide areas is very common. Also this is very tough position to defend too as usually the player make the runs from blind side of defender, one of the reason why FBs gets caught near far post.

Check West Ham game when Jose was manager (Which we lost 3-1) first goal was exactly what you described and that was at Shaw's end. The game where Chelsea scored in the last min to make it 2-2, there was 2 Chelsea players infrot of De Gea and Shaw was way behind them.

ManCity game where we lost 3-1, first goal Shaw lost his marker at far post. Then check the goals vs Wolves in the FA cup when Jota (or someone) just bullied Shaw to score winning goal or how Huddersfield scored 1-1.

All these mistakes happen, doesn't mean Shaw has poor positioning or he is poor defender, he is one of the best defensive FBs in the league.

I agree with your post that AWB's positioning isn't as good as Shaw's, doesn't mean AWB's positioning is poor.
Yeh that’s fair enough and perhaps I was a little harsh but I do feel AWB needs to improve on his positioning at the back post especially. I actually think his positioning in general play and the attacking phase is fine and hes where he needs to be but I would like him to be more aggressive at playing what’s in front of him at the back post on occasion which is an area I think Shaw has greatly improved at.

We all love United
I'm going to wait for official confirmation of us signing him before i get down to watching some highlights reels of him on youtube and get excited. I had enough of Brandon Williams and his blandness on the left side

What about these reports we are about to sign Alex telles? Surely we won't sign two left backs in one window?

Certainly not. One rumour must be a ploy to bring down the price of the other.. we are also linked by the MEN to a third LB too.. seems like we are certainly in the market for a new LB which I am very very happy about.

Just checked his Instagram page, when he'll join his gf will be by far the most stunning partner of anyone in the squad. A very welcomed addition!

Still don’t thing the rumours are strong enough for me to believe there’s legs in this. Fabrizio seems to be guessing.

To be fair, before we signed Van De Beek the rumours were that we were just monitoring him and there wasn't a definitive interest from our side. That seems to be the brief currently too. Basically its very difficult to get anything out of rumours.

I never ever ever trust random links to Portuguese based players. For every Lindelof or Bruno there’s a thousand Gaitan, Sanches, Carvalho, Garay etc.

If we actually do this deal it will improve our squad depth thats for sure.

I also think Ole finally realises we need a fullback that can put in a cross. Imagine how much that would help when teams sit back against us.

The fee is also relatively low for someone of his quality.

Yeah, you never really know how players will do coming back from loan. Hakimi did benefit from playing as a wing back rather than a full back at times.

There is every chance Reguilon is the next Asier Del Horno or Alberto Moreno.

That being said if we aren’t going to buy a ready made LB like Chilwell then a gamble like this seems worthwhile.
There's a blast from the past. Every time I saw him play I sort of assumed I was missing something; that he couldn't be quite as crap as he seemed. But as it turned out...
