We’re in the endgame now and this is my reasoning -

1. the last “brief” was that agent fees and wages were holding up the deal. This is convenient for Utd because if they were to pull out of the deal, the best way to save face is to blame agents, who nobody likes.
2. now there’s a clear brief that agents fees and wages are either done or not an issue, it comes down to the pure fact or will we pay the fee or not, there’s no hiding from that.
3. I do not believe Utd would allow this blanket update from all journalists to go out unless they knew the fee wasn’t gonna be a problem either - major egg on their face if they spent months negotiating with Jadon and his team only not to be able to meet Dortmund’s demands or come to a compromise.

Some people seem like they're expecting him to come in on prime Ronny levels. Isn't it much better or us in the long run to build a TEAM that works well together rather than having that 1 player that all of our play goes through? Sancho will work so well with our current team that it can only be good for both the team and him individually to achieve our goals.

It's interesting how fans of mediocre teams have more concern for our own signings than their own teams. So much concern that they kindly keep warning us not to waste our money as they have our best interests at heart. We have such nice rival fans.
Its our nearest rivals as well. We were told he would want to go to Madrid or Barca, how every top club would be in for him next summer. Now its genuinely they dont think hes all that.
The clearest example was on r/soccer when VDB was linked to both us and Barca. Everybody thought Barca bound and he would fit in here and there, his movement would set player x and y free while provding a goal threat from midfield.
Utd? Average player who now has no standout attributes.
Im not spelling his name but Leicesters Maguire replacement has been shocking since Christmas, had a horrendous post Corona run yet hes in the team of the year and Leicester fans would tell you Evans is their best defender. Its because Maguire is overrated and Leicesters replacement is better at a fraction o the cost. Thats the narrative now.
Its just bad faith

What makes it worse for United is in one of the previous briefs, they said that they believe a fee with Dortmund wouldn't be a problem, so if they didn't pull the transfer off now, that will likely be brought into question. Thats my opinion anyway

Weird briefing to be making..
The concern has always been the fee with Dortmund..
This briefing is basically saying the fee is still an issue..
United implying they're doing all they can to make this happen? The amount of clueless muppets, in this forum alone, saying "just pay them what they want!" must be annoying to deal with on a daily basis.

Romano is probably full of shit perhaps and has used the saga of the summer (minus Messi saga) to up his followers and mentions. Let's be fair he didn't even know that Sancho had extended his deal last year so how much info has he really got?
Bingo !!! That's Romano in a nutshell.
Funny the news Sancho signed an extension last season slipped him by then isn't it?

Didn't have a scooby about VDB either until Ajax coach spoke out. Then he start tweeting non stop about the deal like he knew all along.

Romano has you all dancing his merry dance my friend.
Of course not.... but he can't have any insight into this deal in particular if he didn't even now the contract was extended. If he was being briefed by the agent or Dortmund he'd have known surely? The fact he and nobody else seemed to have a clue makes me think this is all just guess work at best. That's a lot of what they do. They look for smoke around particular deals and they tweet vague stuff that can be read a number of ways.
His sources, either club or agent, just happened to leave out the fact Sancho had 3 years left then and not the two we all thought it was ??? Think about it.

All he's said is that United will get him if they pay the asking price and that wages aren't an issue. Hardly the scoops of the century is it? When have player wages ever been an issue for us anyway?
Tbf he clearly has inside info with some stuff (Serie A) but it doesn't tend to be these deals in particular is all i'm saying. I think he's used several situations to boost his followers and mentions for sure. And to be fair to the guy it's worked.

Don't believe he has any info on this one though which is why he's remained very cautious and on the fence. And his reaction to the extension clause being activated on the day made it seem he didn't know about it either like nobody else did.

People used to act the act same way with Di Marzio and then it all fell apart with him too. They clearly know more than the typical man in the street but nowhere near as much as they claim. It's educated guess work and smoke n mirrors mostly.
It was either last summer or the one before and he went big on several mega moves that didn't come off. He lost a lot of followers and credibility and as since has been much quieter. Seems young Romano has stepped up to fill the role though.

These guys aren't completely full of it and definitely do hear things but they don't know everything they claim I don't think. Dortmund CEO coming out that day and saying that Sancho had agreed a 1 year extension last season took them all by surprise.
Yea think so. Further backs up my point. Di Marzio crashed and burned so now there's a new man to take the bullets. Hahahaha
Like I said he's not 100% full of shit but he is a little bit. It's pretty sneaky what he does at times and less experienced transfer muppets fall for it.

The way he went on with Van de Beek the other week when he clearly had no idea about that deal was funny. People will lap it up though because it's what they want to hear.
Why? He's got no inside knowledge on this deal at all. We either have agreed wages or we haven't. It's a 50 50 call he's right. Hardly groundbreaking mate.
Nothing he's said can be proved either way. Clubs don't come out and explain when terms were agreed. It's guess work and muppets lap it up.

And of course he could be right but it's not because he knows. It's because he guessed right. He didn't even know he had extended his deal until Dortmund spilled the beans.

Lets be happy it seems we are getting him. I didn't think we would this year.
Exactly. He's full of shit but the muppets lap it up.

About 6 credible journalists all at same time roughly come out with breakthrough news. Clearly it wasnt agreed ages ago at all.
Yep. There's been a flood of reputable journalists all breaking the news within the same hour saying agent fees and wages breakthrough.

Romano didn't have a clue all along just like I said he didn't. He stayed on the fence and was nice a vague and made a 50 50 call on wages being done and still got it wrong it seems. People clearly don't seem to know how these guys operate. It's mostly guess work.
Maybe........ Is that what you believe? I don't but if you do then good for you.

Our UK journalists have just been briefed by the club it seems.

Good news is that we might be getting him so let's rejoice.
Eh? You don't seem to have grasped the situation.

He and I have been proven right. Romano was full of shit mate. There's been a breakthrough on wages and agent fees so they can't have been agreed months ago. He guessed and was wrong.
Did Romano do a Zaha and date your daughter?

Yeah. United agreeing personal terms with a player is piss easy. We give wages away like it's going out of fashion.

Zero has changed with Dortmund being stubborn pricks.
Actually you don't know this. Dortmund are well known for saying one thing in the media and doing something else behind the scenes.

This is how I see it too. There is zero benefit for us to let this information get out if we don't sign him.

In fact it will make us look stupid.

The only reason to brief this info is if we are very confident the hardest part of the deal is done.

I cant decide whether i want to sleep on a Sancho pillow and have my face be close to him, or get a blanket and be covered by him.
Get a bed sheet that way you can be on top of him, be in control.

I’m feeling more confident than ever that he is coming. It completely makes sense that nothing was going to happen until after the international duties were finished and we broke into the new calendar month for the extra money in savings. At the end of the day, for the Glazers... it’s a business first so playing this game makes sense.
Looks as if other players are leaving so there is cash to play with and offset.....
3rd Asstag ugly Jersey was reveled yesterday...
Sancho on Monday will be holding our badge!

The bookie odds keep shortening for Sancho to join us and lengthening for him to stay at Dortmund.

Nah he doesn't do my head in at all. Good luck to the fella. It's the gullible people who believe his BS that do.
Its a bit ironic you use the word gullible on Romano whilst suggesting club briefings are always a true reflection of the current situation.
