I think he will.. is there any confusion about that??

So lets clear it up, no matter how well he plays you'll hate him, right? So you hate Ronaldo. Done, then dont start threads like this. I think he'l leave for Spain in a few years as well, but i wont let that influence my opinion of how well hes been doing of late for us. So quit starting threads on players you hate irrespective of how they play. Thats got to be the most unproductive thing to do.
The thread was started by saying: stop making excuses for him when he's had a poor game (quite a lot of games over three years) with the resounding he's young...he's still learning bollocks that everyone here comes up with when there's any criticism aimed at Ronaldo.

It was other argumentative twats that started throwing stats on players, that at the moment Ronaldo isn't fit to tie their shoelaces.

As far as i'm concerned any player that plays for his country and plays for one of if not the biggest teams in the world has done enough to justify their age and the way they play. Ronaldo has probably been playing football at sporting for nearly 10 years before we brought him so he knows how to play.

He's just learnt his trade in a country that uses gamesmanship as a way of playing to win at all costs. and everybody here should hate that.

Other than a handful of games this (and pre) season Ronaldo has used the style of play that he learnt from Deco and Figo (I.E. cheats) as his safety blanket (as seen to great effect at the world cup) and that is one of the main reasons i don't like him (as well as his team play).

Finding the right balance between individually trying to take on so many players to create a chance and simple passing is something i think all gifted players struggle to maintain early on in their career.

Sometime it pulls off (Giggs vs the Arse in the FA Cup) and most of the time it doesn't. But i disagree that he's not a team player, he has improved every season and he looks to pass a lot more now than ever.
This season he has been excellent, and long may it continue. He has a changed attitude so far as far as his interplay goes.
His game against Watford although poor, it wasn't his fault as the rest of the team tended to by-pass him for most of the match.

He has been excellent in his past few games and excellent in no more than about 20 games a season over the past three years. and the stats back this up.

So, what you're saying, is that he has been excellent in almost half of his games for us. Glad you are finally able to appreciate his contribution.

As for not liking him because he may move to another club at some point...:wenger: Surely while a player plays for United, they should be supported. Although, hang on, I forgot your irrational hatred of him.

I have no idea why you hate him with the passion you seem to. This hatred shows through in almost every post you make regarding United. I honestly think that you watch United not to see us play, but to look for things that Ronaldo does wrong. So I guess you haven't enjoyed much of the games this season. Shame.

Xenophobic bullshit. Are you seriously buying into that English media myth that players who learn to play football in England are somehow more honest? Because some of the most blatant dives I've ever seen in the Premiership have come from England's golden boy, Steven Gerrard.

And Deco and Figo are two of the finest footballers on the planet. But to you they are just "cheats". Let go of your anti-Portugese prejudices, they're making you look stupid.

Remy wins again

Carry on

I think Yong will make an excellent striker and is NOT here to sell shirts and Lernin will be a solid squad DM if he can make the change from the Russian League.
As for Ronnie, he's won me over of late and I'm quite a sceptical cnut. Listen to the United fans at an away game for further proof of renewed effort and added maturity.

Remy's stamina is admirable, however he should keep up this momentum until the Tottenham game to see whether Ronaldo decide to go back to his selfish habit or not.

Cheats....And you can print that...

You obviously don't remember when United played Mourinho's Porto side a few years ago and Deco looked like an olympic diver, well to a certain extent Ronaldo had picked up this habit. And because he plys his trade in the Premiership (a league that is popular across the world) everybody notices the bad side of his play (The cheating/diving etc..) I picked up on his 'style' not long after he started playing for us and i've never liked him because of that, not to mention his team play up until recently...Live with it.

I read for the first time the thread title as: he is young and lenin

feck

Ronaldo is overrated. And you all know that. Apart from some unuseful stepovers, he can't play well in most of the games.

His corner kicks are not high enough and freekicks are too high.

Try re-reading my last post.

Porto were fairly cynical but, under Mourinho, Chelsea are just as bad. Gamesmanship is not about nationality, that's ridiculous.

I don't know if you actually watch European football but Deco and Figo have proved themselves to be amongst the very best out there. And if all you have to say about them is that they are cheats then you're undermining any opinion you have on Ronaldo. With your weird anti-Portugese prejudice, there's nothing he can do to convince you.

Maybe if we convince him that freekicks are actually corner kicks and vice versa...

He's shite. Everything from him are fluke. What he's done by far is shit. He's said to be a word class midfielder. But he's not. He's not enough talented to be a part of our club. No.. not even in the reserves bench.

Kids who watch football usualy thinks that players who perform stepovers are great players. But i recently happened to be with a group of kids discussing about english clubs and players. When it comes to Ronaldo most of them think that he's not that much good .What they say is he does his tricks susccesfully when no one is around, but when he tries to run past one or two defenders.. he fails to do it.

And All Ronaldo fans... Grow up..

Of course he's got some class.his sidefooted volley against fulham was awsome, so as his throught ball to Carrick in our match against charlton. But perfomances like that re very rare from him and he's too much overrated.

Please, please stop with the Ronaldo excuse of he's young and still learning.
In the past few years this has been used far, far too often as an excuse by the vast majority on the Caf for Ronaldo's obvious weakness to his game.
His greed on the ball.

As many of you now know i have no time for the Man (yes Man, he is now 21)
and i for one am sick to death of hearing how he's still learning 3 years down the line.

I have never seen another player in my many years cheat dive and whinge his way through any game as much as he does (And not just for United).
The world cup almost proved a point with what i've been saying for years about him, and the vast majority here turned on him after the Portugal v England Quarter final.

The last 2 games for United have been like a breath of fresh air, he's been more productive with his game play he's stayed on his feet when he's usually falling over looking for a free kick. overall he's looked every inch the player we've all been expecting him to be and long may it continue, however with his past track record of having a handful of good games in the middle of a lot of bad ones i wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to his bad habits.

Ronaldo is very talented but, all to often he goes missing or has a tantrum when things don't go his way.
He has a very long way to go to prove he's worth the honour of wearing the 7 shirt because at the moment he's just another winger with a few fancy tricks and little end product.

For the greater glory of Manchester United i hope Ronaldo proves me wrong but for the love of God, don't say i didn't warn you.
am I missing something.

Is Ronaldo young? Errrm, yes

Is Ronaldo still learning? Of course he is.

Outstanding performance by ronaldo. He played with heart and commitment, what many people have accused him of lacking. Also no unnecessary dives or tricks. Amazing player, vital to our team.

Where is remy?

No question, he is playing well. If I have a bitch with him is that he doesn`t backtrack too well. Lost the ball one time and just stood there and almost costus a goal

I think his the main flaw in his game is that he does'nt track back. As you said, he just seems to stand there at times as if it is'nt his job. Obviously it is'nt in his game to do it, but whether he's on the left or the right, the full-back on that flank is alot more exposed.

He has curbed his diving but at times i think its hard for the lad when players deliberately go out to do him in.

Luckily, he is still young and won't be in his prime for another 7-8 years and we should be greatful we have, potentially, the best player in the world.

He tracked back a few times against Tottenham, and actually made an audacious stepover pass to Wes Brown at one point. Not the kind of thing you want to encourage, but funny as feck. :nervous:
