Unfortunately more of the same as last season. Tactically so poor, no pattern to our play & defensively all over the place. It’s going to be a really long season if this is anything to go by.

A better manager would be able to beat Crystal Palace at home. Ole has played 2 lost 2.

If he can't get this bunch of players to play better than this then he is not a good coach. We are being outplayed by Crystal Palace at home ffs.
No one thinks he is going to win the PL or the CL with this team but getting thrashed at home by Palace?

Can we have a reset of this thread for the new season or at least a new poll?

Also, would it be that awful to have the OGS performance thread in this forum?

He is out of his depth and no amount of focus on Woodwards failings will change that. Get rid asap. Not wait till December when we're 10th

This thread is irrelevant.. We all know how this plays out..
He wont get the players he wants.. He'll be sacked.. We'll get someone in who will take a year/18 months to shape us into another promising squad... He wont be backed.. will be sacked.. and repeat.

The board and owners are useless but come on!! He's not good enough. That much is clear.

A truly embarrassing and desperate performance. Anyone watching would at least be concerned.

Exactly, he's one of the many in the long list of bad decisions they've committed in the last 7 years.

Soon Im gonna start shouting "Allegri" again in every thread like this until the board listens and hires him and makes Ole the DoF instead. I dont want Ole gone gone by any means.

Ole being hung out to dry in this window. Gets top4 and the board does not get him what he needs to continue his rebuild project. Pathetic organization.

We'd be less shit with a proper manager. Still shit but less shit. Ole is the McTominay of managers. One of the best signings we could do is Pochettino.

Ole has done all he can do now, this will be his last season, hopefully it’s not going to be a complete disaster but we’ll sleep through years like Arsenal did with Wenger if he stays any longer.

Obviously the owners and board are a big handicap for any manager but I don’t see how anyone can look at Ole and think he’s anywhere near good enough to do this job.

Genuinely don't care at this point.
Agree, as much as I think we can aportion blame, apathy is setting in and I think I genuinely don't see why I bother.

This club is just a business for American leeches to make themselves richer at this point.

I’ve not changed my vote once since the thread was started.

We’ll never win anything under Ole unfortunately.

It's Mourinho's third season all over again.

Hung out to dry. Sack the board, then sack Ole, then sack Lindelof.

* And yes we can blame the board and the Glazers for having no ambition beyond a top four finish and refusing to invest, but the fact we're still getting shown up at home to utterly shite sides like Palace is on Ole.

Can understand Ole being left out to dry is wrong, but we shouldn't be losing to Palace at home. This is on the management.

From the very first day of his appointment I wanted him gone. Opinion hasn't changed. Let's be hones he is not the man to take us anywhere. Reinforcements or not. We shouldnt concede three fecking goals at home to Palace.

I knew some would say first game into the season, blah blah...blah. I can only look at performances. What is this team good at, what is the playing structure?
He's been here for two years. That's what I am looking at. Not just today. I don't think he's good enough and as time passes, I still see nothing that changes my mind.

I’m pretty sure people aren’t basing it on this ONE game only ffs. He has been here for 18 months or more. My god. Get a grip.

Then I'm a fecking moron. Owners hold a big share of the blame but Ole is a god awful manager no matter how you try and spin it. Shambles getting beat 3-1 against palace.

"At home" doesn't mean much without fans in attendance, but overall I agree.

He is suddenly not going to become an excellent coach overnight is he? We are getting thrashed at home by Palace. We have been terrible. They have been much the better team. We have no plans no system at all. It's very easy to blame Lindelof but the reality is that we have been pathetic and got outplayed by Crystal Palace at OT. The manager has no clue.

The board is beyond shocking however

A- It wasn't Woodward who suggested spending 80m on Maguire. Ole was
B- It wasn't Woodward who preferred Lindelof over Smalling. Ole was
C-Woodward isn't managing a team who is getting smashed by Palace despite us having talent like Bruno, Pogba, VDB, Greenwood, Rashford and Martial. Ole is.

Ole deserve support but he's doing his fair share of mistakes.

Bizarre decisions for the opening game, but its not his fault the squad is absolute gash.
I don't believe this squad is bad, it isn't at the standard to win the league, but we should be getting beat by a side that has a player deemed not good enough being their best player.

Some of you here are extremely toxic. Coming in here after bad performances shouting Ole out. He deserves another season. He did his job. If only you were as vocal about the board lack of signings as you are about Ole out... We'd be way better than where we are.

I just don't care anymore.

We've got a board that don't want to invest unless they're forced to. We've got players on the books who are treating the place like a cushy pension plan and no one's making life difficult for them in case someone gets 'upset'. We've got big name players being shown up by Crystal Palace.

I'd dare say the only people who genuinely care are the coaching staff and the youth players and I'm not even sure they're collectively good enough to do anything about the situation.

Just fecking delete the club so I don't have to watch or care anymore please.
