Gaming The SM RedCafe League

What does LO mean? Loaned Out? So though they're not actually in your squad, they're in your plans?
LO is loaned out.

It’s essentially an overview of what I believe is the best 3 players for each position in the squad. Tomori is currently out on loan. Not in my plans for this season but a part of the future transition.

You've got great depth. Mine is nowhere near that except in defence.
Think you have slightly better

I like to have a 90+ starting XI and then 89 replacements all over. Then ideally you have a youth player coming through.

Really pleased with how it’s shaping up as it’s such a tough GW to do well in but I’m really happy with how it’s developed despite my stupidity in getting TBs!
That's a great squad
Cheers. Hoping that it will develop even further in future.

Main focus now is finding value at the right age bracket (22-24yo).

Too much competition for U21s at the moment.

This is too true, I've brought in Koch and he's gone Leeds, i'm hoping they do extremely well, but the amount of goals they are leaking does not bode well for that idea atm.

Beat Bournemouth 4:1 away from home with a mixed strength side. Now 19 games unbeaten, but next league game is against Spurs...

6 deals all confirmed for Cardiff City after a season long transfer ban (just waiting on Everton to resubmit their offer). Each deal was dependent on the other going through in order to maintain a good balanced squad (and to be able to afford it all!).

A huge thank you to all the managers involved. You drive hard bargains!

Despite the lack of signings last season a heroic 3rd place finish has secured champions league football and with that comes the need for greater quality depth.

We are officially open for business!

Seeing as Perisic is now officially leaving, the rebuild of my Aston Villa squad is finally done. Total first team squad value: 389.7M, average rating: 89, average age: 24.
Courtois is the only player left from the team that i took over five years ago. Time flies!

That front 4 will be stunning when Greenwood hits 89/90 this season. Your squad whilst not the highest rated is one of my favourites!

Thanks! Yeah it could be good, if United stop performing like shit in real life :(

Great squad. I was sad to sell Martial. Knew he'd hit 91 eventually, but also knew it'd take a while and that Sancho's prospects were better given the situation we're in.

Squad value (of just those 23 players): £675.1M
Average rating (Martinez brings it down a bit): 91.9
Average age: 25.3

Thanks! To be honest i never thought you’d sell him, especially since you had him from the start. But to do so for Sancho is understandable, he’s a bigger talent and younger. Nevertheless i was over the moon when i got him.

Crazy team, great balance between ratings now and prospects for the future.

Yeah, it really hurt as he was one of the first signings I made but happy to finally see him get the rating recognition he deserved.

Not including Tierney (89, out on loan at Cardiff), Konate (88), Dest (85) and Bellingham (82), all of whom are my next great hope. Just sucks that I don't think Nagelsmann rates Konate. When fit it'll probably be Gvardiol, Upamecano and someone else in the back three.

I wish he was going to Bayern instead. Would get less game time in short term but perfect environment to be in.
He has potential for sure, I think he will struggle defensively though at both Bayern and Barca depending on which he goes to.

I love the Under (Plz loan)

Squad looks average;)

 How the hell were they able to get Arteta's face for SM21? They don't make that much money.
I know! Crazy to think how far the game has come on without SM Worlds being discernibly different to the 2008 version.

It’s all the gold memberships you guys are buying ;)

Are they planning to improve the actual match engine or just a UI update?

The six-time European Champions beat Real Sociedad 4:0 without Kovacic. Big week coming up fixturewise.

Cardiff City - Transfer News
  • Jack Harrison (23) - 84 rated wide player has arrived for cash and Pokorny. The talented Englishman has his debut season in the PL with Leeds and has impressed so far. For essentially chairman valuation of a player who is looking very comfortable at this level I see him as a no brainer gamble.
  • Ronaldo Viera (22) - 85 rated central midfielder chairman value cash purchase. A previous player at Cardiff I am hoping this season he will break into the Sampdoria starting XI and fulfil his potential.
  • Alfredo Morelos (24) - 87 rated centre forward previously of Milton Keynes Dons in exchange for cash and Timothy Weah. Close to a move abroad I am hoping he’ll get the chance to prove his quality in a higher capped league. Weah appears to have stalled and the introduction of David to Lille makes it impossible for both to succeed simultaneously.
  • Marcos Acuña (28) - 89 rated left back a bit older than I wanted to bring in but when the opportunity arose to sign such versatile player for cash I couldn’t resist. For £15.1m from Bournemouth the fact he’s moved to Sevilla in real life to replace Reguilón made him worth the cash. I’m sure at Sevilla he has the ability to get to 90 and with his versatility he covers lots of key areas.
  • Lucas Ocampos (26) - 91 rated RW that can play anywhere in attacking positions. After much negotiation with Bury a deal was struck for Lafont, Lukebakio and £20m securing Bury financially, giving them a goalkeeper to last 10+ years and a replacement winger in hot form. This signing now completes what was missing from the side another 91 rated individual at his peak years. I now have a great balance in forward areas for a “smaller” club
