There has been much attention rightly given to Ed Woodward/Glazer's for the failings in the market. The person negotiating these deals is way more hidden. In Patrice Evra's rant earlier today, it points to Ed Woodward being to trusting of others negotiating these deals. There has been much talk of how poor Man United are seen by other clubs, regarding negotiatings.

So what do people know about him, he seems to avoid scrutiny. I've created this thread to bring awareness, for others to share knowledge of this shadowy figure. All the frustration and negativity for a poor window needs to be highlighted. If the rumours of Matt Judge being difficult to deal with are true, should we not be bringing more attention to him online especially. He seems to be the man putting the tighter grip on agreeing fees, players leaving for less too. Ed Woodward gets final approval but the mess seems to be starting with him, the ground work of these deals.

What I could find online. He joined the club in 2012, started negotiating transfers in 2016. He had a Masters in Economics and Finance. Background in investment Banking for 13 years prior to joining us. That's all I can see, seems he is a hidden figure within the club. The mess is now a collective thing. The failings are shared out and responsibility needs to be taken at all levels.

Does anyone have information on Judge. He seems to get away with the shambles he's been clearly involved in. Does he need to be removed more urgently than Ed Woodward, are the issues with him negotiating to secure these signings?
These late signings and lack of additions, poor contract extensions can't be a coincidence from 2016?

So Matt Judge is a finance man with Financial background but is still not able to trade the players.

No wonder he left Financial Cut Throat Business.

I don't really want to contribute to a witch hunt when we don't have any information on this fella, I just know we are due new leadership at the top of the club

Looks exactly like you'd expect an investment banker to look like.

He went to the same law school as Woodward and that’s how they know each other. Got the job purely because he’s friends with Woodward. Just about sums up the running of the club. Current owners inherited the wealth from their father but have no clue themselves. And two people running the club purely for non footballing reasons.

The information is that he's the negotiator and we have many problems in that area like giving some of our players wages they wouldn't get at other smaller clubs.

Now Phil Jones contract makes sense. Any football fan would have told him that Jones has no value.

Evra is a poor source of information. The chairman ringing him could have been Roma offering 10m euros and his last Rollo for Smalling. We’ve been ignoring them by all accounts.

Judge along with Arnold are all bezzie mates of Woodward from Bristol Uni and Investment Banking days.

For similar feckaries, look at most institutions Re: Dido Harding et al and Chris Grayling.

Neither of them went to law school and he was hired when Gill was still in charge.

Just about every club in the world is also run by businessman, not footballers.

Sorry to break it to you , Matt Judge was employed by Woodward so unless Woodward goes, Matt is going nowhere. His only qualification for the job is that he is Woodward's University friend.

Its sad that most United fans are becoming aware of this information now.

People tend to ignore the convenient truth if it is seen as a distraction to their idea of what the truth is.

Most Manchester United fans have been in denial about Manchester United recruitment team for ages. Those people who are in favour of Director of Football knew this problem exists, but were condemned for trying to do things against tradition.

They went to the same university. Bristol.

The big difference between United and the other big clubs is football men have involvement in transfers. We don’t.

Why are there still United fans coming to the defence of these cnuts? Glazers, Woodward, Judge all need to go.

Wasn't there a situation where he went into a meeting with a player and his agent and actually had to ask the damn player what his name was because he didn't know? I swear that was reportedly what this clown did at one point

According to Wikipedia:

Matthew Judge, is a footballer who plays for Thurrock in the Conference South as a striker. Judge was with Tottenham Hotpsur for five seasons before joining Luton Town. He scored his only senior goal for Luton in a Football League Trophy game against Stevenage Borough.

I”m assuming that hes a Woodward appointee.I don’t think he’s been handpicked by the Glazers..,.So if he’s managed to stay on in his role despite being woefully inept, then frankly that’s on Ed Woodward as well...

Thanks for breaking it to me, I created this thread to bring attention to Judge. There wasn't one on the caf, his name was mentioned last summer a lot. Any information on him is welcome, top red smugness isn't.

He's obliterated the wage structure and is overpaying the playing staff by around 60-100%. This has worse effects within an organization beyond just money/not being able to move players on.

Wasn't there a situation where he went into a meeting with a player and his agent and actually had to ask the damn player what his name was because he didn't know? I swear that was reportedly what this clown did at one point
Yes, I remember that as well.
