Statistically people of his age and with obesity have an almost 1 in 5 chance of dieing from it. It's extremely serious.
I'd say he is in an even higher risk category given the enormous amount of stress he's under.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
I can only assume there's an emergency meeting going on in the mod forum on how to deal with the possibility that half the forum might soon be openly celebrating someone's death.

Grinner would have handed out a bunch of warnings already

Just don’t see the undecideds (or what’s left of them) being swayed by the martyr tactic. It’s definitely in the realm of possible, but hopefully those voters will see his death as preventable, just like a large chunk of the 210Ks’ deaths would have been.
Me neither. I think it will reinforce Biden's message about the virus and how Trump dismissed it and had no plan to deal with it. Moreover, in a time of vacuum crisis (if Trump dies), people will tend to go for reassurance - someone with experience who has been well-known to them for decades, namely Biden.

Reminds me in a way of first season of Homeland when Brody mainpulated the VP's pacemaker.

Good job Doc.

I bet the delay in heading to the hospital is in regards to how he will be seen transiting to the chopper.

Given his age, weight and lifestyle it could very well be serious.
Undoubtedly, which is why it was always mad he wasn't taking basic precautions like wearing the mask. But the same was true of Johnson, to a lesser degree. I reckon I'd have trouble breathing just walking around in a body like his, so a respiratory illness on top really could be excruciating for him. He's shown an amazing ability to learn nothing from past experiences but there is the chance he actually learns something from this. Definitely no guarantee he gets the chance to though. Pretty wild.

Yeah, I don't buy the argument that Trump dying or getting seriously ill will secure any kind of win.

It's all elaborately staged. Cnut will be "fighting fit" in a week and brush this off with jokes and be saying shit like "I told you I was one of the fittest 74 year olds on the planet."

Yeah it's been waiting for 20 minutes so he isn't going to just casually walk out thumping his fist in normal style.

Surprised they've actually got a camera filming this if he's going to be wheeled out.

Will be interesting to see if he walks to the helicopter and gives a wave etc. or is ushered on. Will be very telling.

The positioning of the chopper will help if the CNN camera is the only one showing it live.

I am just imagining him screaming through his oxygen mask to let him walk, fighting with the doctors, & trying to pull out any IVs. Basically acting like a toddler.

Being airlifted to the hospital. So weak. American presidents should be strong. NOT WEAK.

Joe Biden to take down negative adverts

The Democratic challenger to Mr Trump has announced he will take down his attack ads on the president in light of today's news.

That decision was reportedly taken before it was revealed Mr Trump would be taken to hospital

 I got a 24 hour ban for saying maybe Boris would learn something from his ineptitude and failures responding to COVID after he recovered, which I explicitly said I hoped he would.
