Does Dortmund live in an alternate universe without Covid-19?
I kinda feel the same. With the covid situation unlikely to change or improve in the near future, common sense dictates that the value of an asset will most likely drop in an economic climate where most countries are seeing double digit declines in annualised GDP growth.
And let’s not forget that Sancho will have one less year remaining on his contract by then, hence his amortised book value will also be lower. Which also means that even with a lower selling price Dortmund would register the same amount of profit next year that they would’ve registered by selling him for 120 million euros this year.
I still feel fairly confident that United will be in for Sancho over the next two transfer windows. Although, this time with more competition from the English clubs (Hoping that Mbappe remains Real’s priority).
