Shows how much you know, they already took external funding
Meanwhlie its our revenue that is taking hits, and failure again to make UCL for next season isn't going to be good for us
Dortmunds business model.is buy young, sell once developed. Has been for a long time covid-19 has every clubs finance's in a mess and if they think his price will go up they're incorrect because bo club will be able to afford to buy him. The longer that happens the more there midel crumbles. Outside finding is a temp fix and next summer there in for a shock.

I don't think €120 million was too much for a player like Jadon Sancho but there unwillingness to accept a slightly lower price with a view to understanding the effects of covid on every club will bite them hard.

Its there business model to sell.

Glad to hear. He's a natural RB no? So he would be backup to AWB and play the cup games. He's had a lot more minutes over the past year than TFM so he's a better fit I think.
The thing is Laird got promoted to first team, and in the youth team, Laird was the one who pushed Williams to left wing.

Make no sense to use William as RB back up if it means to block Laird chance, or just even limit both gametime at the same time. A loan would do him a lot of good. We can always recall if it doesn't work out in January.

What is the plan? TFM is still here IIRC

Obviously it's very frustrating to miss out on Sancho. I still think we got very good value for the deals we did make with the exception of Traore who we overpaid for because we think he's an exceptional talent. I'm happy with all those signings, just wish we'd had Sancho as the main dealing, but our squad looks a lot healthier now, with how jam-packed the schedule is shaping up to be then we'll be thankful for these additions soon enough.

Even the fans have no ambition these days, terrible window.

Did not say otherwise, but getting 90m euros instead of 120m in a year and having a year more of Sancho is not going to hurt them financially.
Especially when, again key point (they recently just took external investment)

Cavani
7

Bet you didn't see that one coming

But Ole knows what it means to earn the legendary no. 7 at United!

Whats bad about it?
No cb, spunking money on maybe future players, another falcao desperation signing and a midfielder who is just an addition to the squad. Absolutely zero improvements to the first 11 except at left back, which isn't hard when the other option is Shaw.

That tweet about Cavani wearing #7 should have an asterisk next to it, or parenthesis the (once former) legendary number 7. it's been far from legendary since Ronaldo left.

99 percent of worldwide transfers are maybe players.
None of us have seen near enough of these players to be damning them.
We didnt get Sancho. Its a blow. It doesnt mean we close down our scouting department and never spend a penny every again.
We have just signed one of the best young players in Italian football and hes written off as a maybe player?
Thats ridiculous.

Rafinha arrived in Paris. PSG must now finalize the deal with the player and Barca before midnight. He passes the medical. The agreement in principle between the 2 clubs concerns a free arrival of the player + 3M € hard-to-reach bonus + a % on resale.

Yep, and they'll be the same ones shouting Ole out when the shit flows, no midfield balance, no CB and nothing added to the attack but 2 kids and a has-been mercenary, it's a shambles, VdB and Telles are decent signings, the rest are utterly irrelevant.

You're suppose to improve your 11 each window, we haven't. Look at every other big club.

And the trump card to any debate with the everything is rosy brigade, CB.....

Well.. it is what it is.
time to tighten the laces and put this team together. I’m disappointed with SanchNO. Not sure what to think of the signings or the Cavani signing... but this is my squad! I just hope we can stay in competition for 4th until January and see what we can do then.

Sounds like the players are not kept in the loop at all. I would have thought he'd switch back to right back, given Dalot is off and Laird struggles with fitness. AWB certainly needs competition for his place. Very magnanimous from Southampton to pay "all his wages"...

Can't be doing this.
