Joao Moutinho should start.
Usually I'd agree but he's not in good form and having Danilo and William made it easier to counter France's athleticism. I think Cancelo for Guerreiro should have happened way earlier though, Cancelo is by far our best attacking fullback and France were always letting us play out through the fullbacks.

Now we need to beat Sweden and then the home game vs France will decide everything, hopefully that one is more exciting

You'll turn it on v Scotland, can see it being 3 or 4 nil.

As much as I'd love to see Scotland back at major tournament, Serbia v Croatia at a major tournament is just too tempting. :D

You don’t think Darwin Nuñez is decent? Obviously won’t be world-class but should be good enough as a back-up to Maxi.
Decent description, good enough to be a backup to Maxi, who has been no more than a rarely used backup to Suárez and Cavani.

Therein lies the gulf I'm miffed about, if only a couple of these midfielders had been around five years earlier...

Mount is the Lingard replacement of this side, it’s all just movement, pressing and mediocre football ability

This Giroud narrative really has gotten out of hands, don't recall Klose and his insane NT records ever granting him that level of praise.
He did surpass Platini for most goals in the French NT and is currently 2nd at 42.
However It's important to note that 24 of his goals came in friendlies, he only has 18 goals in competitive games which puts him far below 2nd place in official comps.
His output in major competition is also nothing extraordinary, 1 goal in 12 world cup games, 3 goals at the Euro against Iceland and Romania and that's it.

So Trippier's caught up in a being scandal now?

England players really have been keeping it under the radar lately.

Löw is wasting a fine generation of German footballers.
I was expecting the usual predictable moaning about Löw from Germany / especially Bayern fans, so didn’t expect you to be the first one this time

Why does Germany stick with Löw after his disastrous World Cup? If you include his assistant managerial role, he's been with the German NT for 16 years. Has there even been an international manager that serve that long? Wow. Almost like their SAF, except for the trophies. :wenger:

Does anyone know if Bruno has to quarantine when he gets back as he was in the same bubble as Ronaldo?

They need to sack low
Absolutely this. They need someone to come in and freshen things up, Löw is holding the team back. Werner pulls one back for Germany, currently trailing to Switzerland 1-2.

You all should watch the Liechtenstein vs San Marino game. San Marino giving their all and had two shots on target, would be historical if they can get a result.

@duffer will be beside himself with excitement after Havertz scores as well.

I'd be more excited myself if Switzerland hadn't scored again immediately.

What a Hühnerhaufen at the back. Rüdigers positioning is so bad, Kroos once again not where a defensive midfielder should be and Kimmich and Neuer unlucky.

At least Werner, Havertz and now Gnabry look good in attack.
