Given the line counts as part of the box, that's pretty clearly inside.
Ah yeah I was thinking the line was like the goals line and the player had to be inside the line, not on it.
Brighton have looked good, but no real focal point up top and it all breaks down. Lallana with some clever runs in behind, Lamptey has looked a threat, but looks up for someone in the box to fire a cross into and no one there. For all the clever play Brighton have done they have not worked Lloris.

Spurs look in second gear, they are the home team and in the lead, but one goal never safe in prem, where is the desire to go get a second or third?
Spurs in the last bunch of games have largely played the same way - no real attacking structure. Isn't a surprise that they're struggling for goals this game.

O.k perhaps not. 5 live were convinced it was a foul.
Opposite of my commentators who kept going on about him getting the ball first

Not sure how that wasn’t called back tbh. Read earlier too that every time the ref has gone to the monitor they have change the decision. Might be the first time they haven’t

Don't send him to the Championship, just take his ref licence away, a little check and a good luck card. How can he be so inept

I desperately want spurs to lose but that was 100% a freekick, how can he look at it 20 times and still think it is a fair challenge?
The way he didn't instantly see it was a foul, and was still watching 2mins later, you knew it was going to be given!

If Brighton had Maupay or a striker they'd be a decent team. Well coached and have width, pace and technique.

Spurs have been awful. What minute does Son bail them out again?

Even if he grazed the ball (which is still dubious after all those angles), he clearly takes out the man afterwards. It's a blatant foul and a yellow. This ref is egregious.

Never a foul?!

Did you forget the part the player has to at least get the ball? He doesn't even skim it!
I'm having a shite GW and need all the points I can get! You must have a great defence if an attacking WB is last on the bench

It's definitely a good thing to me that I'm not a professional footballer.

If I'm on the pitch and I see the ref make that kind of decision, I'm throwing his head through the monitor so he can see it more clearly. :wenger:

You wouldn't think a Brighton full back away at Tottenham is a points gold mine!

Just read in another forum he had massive bust up with Potter after last game.

Great header to be fair. Best way to use Bale I guess, keep him central in the box.

Huge 30 minutes for Spurs coming up. They simply can't let another home game they're leading pass them by. Feels like a night where Bale might actually do something.
My one prediction a season that I actually got right. :D

Lamptey going off will reduce much of Brighton's threat.

Could throw Welbeck on but guess he's massively lacking match fitness.

Still 15 minutes or so into this. Enough time for some excitement. Brighton won't give up.

He is not really a goal getter in the box other than with his head, mainly because his right-foot isnt all that good.

My point is he's simply not good enough any more at playing on the flank and running towards defenders. Better to use him more centrally and depend on him as scoring machine. They might get something out of him this way.

No reason for that eh ? Can just disagree without saying such things to each other. Didn't we have a discussion about Mourinho few weeks earlier and we were friendly to each other ?

I'm just saying he's simply not the player to hang the flank and keep running on it anymore.

Eleven men behind the ball. Can they weather the storm against the mighty Brighton?

Taking Son off aswell.

Three points would be huge for Spurs, sets up next weekend very nicely for them.

People on this Tottenham forum seem to hate each other more than even us here. Didn't imagine this is possible.

I wasn't attacking you personally, if it came across that way I apologise, but I don't agree with "hes not good enough anymore" to play the flank. He is still getting back to fitness and has shown glimpses of his talent, I fullly expect him to get 10-15 goals this season playing from the right.

No problem. I actually didn't want to get in any argument with you as you're a nice poster from what I have seen.

Jose needs to find himself. This is getting ridiculous, even for him. His early teams would bulldoze the minnows at home. Yes, this isn't as quality, but he's still got Kane, Sone, Lo Celso.

If it keeps going like this, it may be best that he retires.
