Honestly nothing I hate more than watching us fanny about with it at the back, just hit it fast and direct, avoid giving teams the opportunity to press us.
It does my head in. Its as if we think Wan Bissaka is going to suddenly become prime Cafu or Maguire is going to morph into a latter day Lucio. Why play in a way that invites pressure onto players who clearly can't cope with it? I can only think that they are amazing in training and this cons the coaching staff into telling them to go short from every goal kick. Cos in games none of our back four exhibits the technical ability to resist players getting in their faces.

At Everton it looked like we had learned our lesson. We went into the channel fast at every opportunity until Everton dropped off, worried about the space in behind and what our pace could do to them. A much sounder approach with the players we have.

Watkins and Barkley were fantastic purchases. Well done Villa.

This is such a nothing Arsenal team. We sucked last week and they sucked equally until they were gifted a penalty, but at least United have games when they look like a proper world class team.

With this Arsenal team, there is nothing. Zilch. No excitement or evidence they will be any better than this.

Villa are such a positive side, even if we don't consider this game. Always looking to attack, very fast on the break with plenty of incisiveness and creativity as well.

Can take any team in the league when in form to be fair.

You'd hope we've learned our lesson considering how poorly we do against teams who set up even the simplest of high-presses! To be honest it annoys me just as much when we take ages with our attacking play too, yesterday before our goals we were taking forever to get the ball forward, soon as we started moving it with a bit of tempo we scored.

I know Grealish is getting all the plaudits but Ross Barkley has been excellent since his summer move, really fantastic.

If this stays 3-0 means arsenal hasn’t score from open play or even corner in 4 league games in a row.

We will finish above Arsenal this season. Really odd to see three poor novice managers in charge at 3 out of 4 of England's biggest clubs.

Watkins isn't good enough for United.

Grealish, on the other hand...
Hes better than James though. The guy is scoring hat tricks and braces on his debut season. Grealish is even better I agree with you but it's like we cant scout the championship properly.

Don't get me wrong it's very funny, but I'd be much more into this banterful display if we hadn't have failed to lay a glove on this lot last week.

Credit to Villa who've been excellent today. This league is throwing up some very odd results and performances this year.

Agreed. It’s simply baffling how we lay down for them last week.
