I always had a feeling that he would want to come back to United as his swan song, once his days at the top level are over.
There is NO WAY he could possibly end his career on a finer note than to catapult this sleeping giant of a club back to its former glory.

I mean can you feckin imagine! It’s the only thing left he could do to improve his already goat like status in the sport.

Ligue 1 allows him to stroll around most of the time and only exert himself in the Champions League. It's a good fit for an old player.

People want to play a high pressing game but also want to sign CR7.

If he comes, forget getting Poch or Hassenhuttl or Rose or Nagelsmann.

It would be more of Zidane, Allegri options.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

If Fergie were still in charge there would be a definite possibility (especially as we'd obviously still be competing at the top if he were still here).

We're not really the same club that Ronaldo left. Not a single player is still here from his time (unless you count Ole and Carrick), we've gone through a number of different managers and we're having to struggle just to make the top 4. As much as that little voice in the back of my head is screaming to bring him back, it's not going to happen.

We all love United
Probably more of a chance of him going back to Sporting Lisbon than us really. Does he even want to live in Manchester again? I doubt he likes our club like how we think he does, he feels more of a gratitude and respect to Fergie which is completely fair of course

Probably go back to Madrid before United? He left when Zidane did in 2018 I think, perhaps just what he and Zidane need is to join forces and get the last bit of juice of the Madrid squad. PSG or Madrid.

He won his first major titles here and he won his first Balón d’or here.

We are the girl he lost his virginity to. I know I’d like one more feck with the girl I lost my virginity to

Trade Pogba for him. Ronnie would make a bigger impact in one season than Pogba done in 5...

Highly doubt he will ever wear a Sporting jersey again.

Ronaldo coming back to play for Ole. Get real!! He probably wants a big contract at PSG.

He's never coming back. He's all about himself.. We aren't winning a league, he is not ruining his legacy.

Ronaldo is extremely wealthy, we have nothing to offer him. He’s one of the most ego driven players in the history of football. He wants to win the ballon dor, he wants titles, he wants the CL goal scorer record. He’s not going to come to a team that aren’t even assured of CL qualification. The only way we get him is if we suddenly become a world class team that he can slot into & be assured of individual success with.

He's surprised me at Juve but I can't shake the feeling that age will eventually catch up to him and if we did sign him we'd be the unlucky ones to witness the decline. We also don't create chances, the current Ronaldo needs providers, he isn't the same one as his early Madrid or United years.

Madrid isn't a bad shout if Juve sold for like 50m. The team still has the same core that will need replacing, with Ronaldo back they'll get another 2-3 years to have a go at the top. Unike United, Madrid actually have players to create a lot, they just don't really have finishers aside from Benzema.

Can see this being Sanchez all over again. £500k a week and this is a past his best Ronaldo. Its not the Ronaldo that left and might find the game here different to Spain/Italy where he has more time on the ball. He also played with WC players and considering we might have only 1 will be a big shock as well.
He also plays from the left or centre as well. This either pushes Rashford or Martial out, as they wont want to sit on the bench game after game.

On the bolded, check Martials last game, not hard for Ronnie to improve on that and we smashed Everton.

Rashy on the left, Ronnie down the middle and Greenwood on the right

Rashford - Ronaldo - Greenwood
———————Bruno———————
———--
Pogba———Fred————

I need that to happen and for Bruno and Ronnie to slap Pogba into form to make it work.

Messi provides more to the team than Ronaldo at this stage of their career.

Just imagine when history says worlds two best players played for Manchester United at some point in time, this would be fantastic.
Best, Carlton and law says hello in unison!

Who cares about Martial. Sell him.

This will be the team.

Henderson
AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Telles
McTominay Bruno Fred
Grealish Ronaldo Rashford

Wouldn't want him... he left us in his prime. Why would we want the old version of him?
Better off getting players that are cheaper and will benefit us for years to come.
Why so glum? For so long, we have been acquiring players from lower clubs and getting their best playing years. For example, Rooney, Sheringham etc.

Now we are not the same top club so it only makes sense for someone who left us in their prime to come back to us in their final playing years. Let's just accept it.

Ronaldo is one of my favourite ever United players but that ship has sailed . Still a great player but no way should we be going back there . Let him wind down his career and become the greatest goalscorer in history .
But thank you for the memories

You could argue that United have better players than he currently plays with at Juve. Who at his current club is actually world class? They’re all decent to very good at best. Also, mentioning Ronaldo and Sanchez in the same sentence is an abomination. They’re cut from completely different cloth. The only thing I’d agree with is that he’s past his best but his level is still superior to anyone at the club currently and almost everyone in the league if not everyone.

Why are we always so late?
We could have gotten 3-5 good years and now 1-2 years. Or maybe he injures himself due to the tight schedule

Pogba plus some cash to Juve for Ronaldo. Then have Ronaldo here for 2 to 3 years before he heads to MLS to play for Becks at Inter Miami. He’d be a huge influence on our young players particularly Mason who could see first hand what it takes to be and stay world class.

Well this seems nailed-on - well done Mr Woodward for getting a head start on the transfer window.
