Fair enough, I know nothing about business so maybe they genuinely just haven't got the resources to produce enough consoles to meet demand early on.

I don’t know how anyone can blame people for the preorder shit fest on both consoles.
Retailers can’t even keep up with the times they promised. Websites are dying. I had to use guest checkout for GAME because it was broken when signing in. The Amazon link wouldn’t work on mobile. Just look at Argos originally, someone found a loophole in the system and preorders started 3am. That’s just some of the small problems.
Then the worst is the cnuts with the bot. I hope all their consoles break or get stolen. This is probably the first console launch which has had bots. eBay are clowns too as they should be pulling down these listings or Sony should be putting pressure on them for people selling over the RRP.

I'm a big fan of Preston mate. My dad lived by Beacon Fell for a few years so know it well.
Crazy, quick look now I've seen some buy it nows for 7-800 disc versions. some for 999!
They produced more than they did for the PS4 launch. The problem is loads of people had 3 or 4 pre-orders through different sites when they only needed one, and the many scalpers/bots.
Mine still isn't out for delivery. My poor dog is next to me looking all sad because I won't take him out but not taking any chances.Mine says delivery before 11pm
It said that for MM tbf and that came around midday.
My DPD status when tracked is "Your parcel is travelling through the DPD network". Smyths said I'd be receiving direct updates this morning on the delivery but nothing
My first attempt was the second the first preorders went live which was months ago. As I said just leave this thread If you have nothing positive to say. Yes, I wanted the console, and yes I've tried damn hard to secure it so you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

I've been in the sneaker resell market for 5/6 years this is nothing compared to that, if you were prepared and did your research when preorder was announced you would of got one at least.
So many basic errors from people that aren't computer literate, always sign in to website 30/60mins before make sure address details are correct and saved make sure payment details are saved.
Being able to instantly skip the address entering/payment entering when websites are 404ing constantly gives you a huge advantage.
use F5 to refresh the page that's infinitely faster then manually clicking the refresh button open numerous tabs set multiple windows up on your monitor so you can keep an eye on multiple websites.
If you cant login and pre save your details make sure you have auto fill ready and set up on chrome for example.
Know your ccv on your card off the top of your head.

I bought it for that price. Bit luck now that I see the prices now. No way in hell I’d pay 800-1000 for a console. I’d just buy a quality PC for that.

obviously you can't beat a bot ive been using them for years with sneakers i know the in's and out's of high profile releases.
The captcha's that are used to prove "your not a robot" are actually making it so much slower for anyone that isn't using a bot the system is flawed.
I’m sure I read somewhere that Sony have taken more pre orders for the PS5 than they had sales for the first 12 weeks of the PS4’s launch.
Must have something to do with us all imagining an Xmas in which we're mainly stuck indoors
I think the massive influx of PS5 Preorders is due to lockdown and people being stuck inside more,
Me for example, I completely missed the whole PS4 Gen, I lost interest in gaming and was travelling about a lot, however now with lockdown and being home more there's only so much netflix i can watch and i quite liked the idea of getting back into gaming and what a good time to do it with the launch of next gen consoles.
Yeh, I actually managed to get one through a neighbour who had 2 pre orders in and he's a nice guy so he's just giving it me at cost (plus some beer!)

Here’s one that’ll trigger all of you who waiting patiently. I collected mine late last night, which took a little longer than anticipated. By the time I got home, it was a little too late to start firing it up, especially as I have a lot of work to get through today. As we speak, it’s sitting unopened, with a copy of Spider-Man attached to it, whilst I continue to write a research proposal. The urge to pie this off, tear it open and start playing is there, mind you.
After being screwed by Argos yesterday I knew it wouldn't arrive today.
I have somehow ended up with a DPD UK and DPD IE tracking numbers. UK number says all is well, moving between Birmingham and NI depot.
IE tracking number says it was scanned in France at 2am, but DPD IE. But DPD IE Customer Services say they can't see this on their end. Useless buggers. Better be an error.
