At least.

I'd be amazed if he remain at Villa beyond the summer transfer window.
If he actually wants to make that big move, signing a new contract only helped strengthen Villa's negotiation position.

Proud of the lads, top second half performance.

Bad conceding so soon after we made 1-1 and that was the difference. Don't understand the penalty but there you go.

The turn around from where you were last season to this one is incredible. That didn't feel like beating a decent team that played out of their skins, it genuinely felt like beating a very good side. Fair play to Dean Smith. Some of the football played by both teams was excellent.

Can't believe i'm gonna be rooting for the scum to beat spurs tomorrow but wouldn't mind them tearing apart a Mourinho side.

I thought it was a close one during the game, less so in hindsight. Certainly not enough to turnover the ref's original decision.

Doing a great job Ole. He probably would have got another 1-2 of his targets in but for Covid. Signed Bruno. Turning lads who were written off into contenders like Shaw,Rashford,Fred etc. Getting a tune out of Pogba as well. Bringing Bailly back to life. If we got that right winger last summer Id back us. Still its not to late as we have all of January to buy.

Quite how your side went from relegation fodder last season to the relentless force we saw tonight, I'll never know.

It was a clear penalty mate. The defender makes clear contact with Pogba's ankles (whether intentional or otherwise) on top of pulling him back, the ref had no choice but to award the pen, and VAR was in no position to overrule it due to the rules stipulating a penalty.

You played well and gave a very good account of yourselves. The penalty.. there's definitely contact and Pogba is tripped. You could argue he initiated it or the other way around; even slowed down it's really hard to see and would be impossible for VAR to call a clear and obvious error (hard to see if there's an error full stop!).

Balance of play think we were good for the three points anyway.

Hard luck mate. You guys should be proud of your team. You have become such a tough team to play.

I shouldn’t have said anything actually. We might drop points on Monday then you’ll beat Burnley and will be top.
No I'm just curious as I've seen @RobinLFC saying it too. Just figured he was taking the piss out of himself. Didn't know some United posters had been saying the whole joint top thing.

Davis should've squared it, we had a player completely unmarked to his left.
You're joking.
That would have taken almost world great awareness to do that with a ball dropping to him centrally 6yards from goal!

Say joint top "On points" and it takes the pedantic gimps out of the equation. Job done.

Solskjær has got through this festive period better than most would have imagined. 8 wins and 2 draws since the Arsenal game with a game every 3ish days is some return.

He did amazingly to get away with a good 3-4 slashes at him before finally getting the inevitable card!
It was amazing every time Grealish got the ball he just kicked him definitely was told to do it.

I think Jack would've done it but then the really top level players have that extra split second in time compared to more honest triers when infront of goal it seems.

I can't imagine anyone would have even dreamt of a pass in that split second.

I wonder what Grealish thinks about the whole Villa thing.
Simple as being delighted his team are doing so well? Happy to be big man on campus?
Or being absolutely frustrated that the players round him are levels below.

I've watched your games very closely for months now and he could easily have 4-5 assists a game. Same tonight.
