Looking a bit of a shambles at the minute. Leaving your big money superstars out in favour of underperforming local lads? Cant imagine Roman's a fan of that.

Give it Frank Lebouef till' end of the season.
It's the big money superstars that are underperforming.

I think if this was any other manager Abramovich would be sacking them the next day, with Lampard I’m not sure.

He's been really bad as a Chelsea manager. Look at this team they put out today, there are almost no major weaknesses. They shouldn't be looking so terrible all the time.
He is changing his team too much. Look at that midfield, it is much too open against Leicester. He doesn't know his best team and doesn't know what he is doing by the look of it.

That said, even if they should do better, I don't think this team is something special at all. I won't take any of their players in our first eleven.
They are made of past it players : Azpi, actual Kanté, Silva, Giroud ; never even made it 25ish players : Kovacic, Werner, Zouma, Chilwell, Ziyech ; and not so good young players : Tammy, Mount, Havertz... I see nothing special here... for all the bashing Rashford get here, Chelsea have no better player.

I questionned their buys here this summer as I thought it was all hype. Never seen a compilation of goals as unimpressive as Werner's, it was all due to penos and runs behind the increadibles high lines in Germany which you'll never seen here. And Zyech was flashy but weak and with low stats in Edervise which you need to question at his age.

That was a pathetic performance. He'll be sacked tomorrow.

Chelsea look completely hopeless at the moment. Surely his days are numbered.

The first 20 minutes especially felt like a team who knew their manager was getting sacked in the morning, they improved slightly after that but were still really poor and could have lost by more. They're still only 5 points off 4th so I doubt he's on the brink quite yet but the fact he's got two very expensive and talented German attacking players struggling so much and that Tuchel is available means he will likely be gone if they don't sort out themselves out soon.

I feel like he was doing this originally and the football was really exciting and then, come summer and all the new faces, it's just slowly tailed off. It's like he can't fit the players into his system and so has adapted the original plan to accommodate them and they're a mess. Probably win the game now!

As a Chelsea fan, do you generally see Lampard as being in control of any of the transfers or is he just given players by the committee?
Well I certainly dont think he himself would have chose Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr or Mendy for sure. Chilwell yes. Ziyech yes. Werner and Havertz possibly club signings

Yeah ... he's done.

I honestly expected him to do a good job there. Especially on-paper this summer they looked a scary team. Wonder if they'll go straight to Tuchel or get a caretaker first. Seems like Lamps would be as good a caretaker as any, so maybe just let him see the season out?

If that does happen. Who replaces him?

Allegri seems to be only one out of a job that would be available at short notice.

Does anyone think Rodger's would give up on Leicester to go there?

Allegri or Tuchel would make Chelsea deadly I reckon. On paper they have a title winning team.
It’s not all Lampard’s fault anyway, they made a lot of transfers and the team just need to learn to play together.
If Chelsea actually want Allegri or Tuchel, fine but if its just because they happen to be available without a club then that's quite silly and not generally how Chelsea do things. If Lampard must go, and admittedly it does look bleak for him, then I'd prefer an interim coach who can hold the fort while we try and convince someone like Nagelsmann to move here.

Rodgers will be actually a very good replacement!
Yeah, I think so too. The guy gets a bit of grief round here (mostly for the Liverpool connection) but he's done a really good job with Leicester. I'd expect him to do good things with that Chelsea squad.

No chance of that happening before the end of the season though, obviously.

Say what you like about Brendan but for the most part the football is simple and effective.
Yes, he’s a neon toothed David Brent but he manages to get a tune out of all of his players.
Frank won’t last too much longer at this rate. He may be overthinking things imo. Constant tinkering and changing formations. If arsenal move ahead of you this year you know you are fecked........

From what I remember, Tuchel has been on Marina's list since a number of years. He'd also be a great fit with the squad, his former captain Thiago Silva already there and let's not forget he's the manager who got Pulisic started. I would be very surprised if it's not him, should they appoint a new manager.
Surely, it would be a very tough pill to swallow for a Chelsea fan to see their club legend sacked so quickly, and given so little time, after a good last season no less, but it is not looking good.

It has to be Tuchel with the two German signings underperforming. I can’t see it being anyone else.

Lamps should have stayed true to his vision, but he couldn’t resist the summer splurge on players he didn’t have set plans for. It’s just made a mess.

Didn’t watch the game. What happened to Chelsea? This result is a real ugly. You cannot lose to the lesser teams of all top four rivals. Their squad should get a draw if unable to win. This is becoming a disaster now for them. (I know we somehow lost the Arsenal game ridiculously...)

Good, by the look of it, Marina doesn't know what she is doing. Recruitement has been trash since she is at Chelsea. Looks good on paper but abysimal on the pitch ! She is the new Ed Woodward...
I don't know how that is going under the radar as everyone seems to think that Chelsea has a good team...I don't see it...maybe on paper but not when things are though and you need some bones to get a result.

I don’t understand his team selection today. Who was meant to be the holding player in midfield? Also it would have been better to play Abraham and CHO against Fulham and play Werner and Pulisic here.
