Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Always trouble when this fat cnut refs a game.
I can't stand him but if his linesman and VAR are that shite, he's going to have a hard time.

VAR is such a piss easy job. They either use lines or say "have another look".

In that instance, they can only have thought some garbage about phases of play. When they should say "ref, have a look at this".

Which was after MIngs touched the ball
He literally tackles him from an offside position mate. I understand what you're trying to say, but Rodri makes the tackle from an actual offside position. If thats not gaining an advantage from an offside position I'm not sure what is.

Not been watching the game but just seen a video of that decision got to be the worst VAR decision I've seen this season. Had been getting slightly better recently too

Hard luck to Villa, turning point was the opener and should not have stood IMO, their effort deserved a draw out of that match.

City will stroll to victory in their next 3 league games against West Brom, Sheffield United and Burnley.

Because he’s taking advantage of his position on Mings’ blind side. I understand why some say as soon as Mings touches it then it becomes a new phase of play, but you can’t just ignore everything around that. For me it reeks of this new freeze framing VAR refereeing. Looking at sections in isolation instead of the larger picture.

He clearly gains an advantage from being in an offside position. That should be all there is to it when asking the question.
I can see that argument. But I don't think its black and white. Mings takes two touches (a chest then a foot) before Rodri swipes it from him. At some point he has possession and its his responsibility not to lose the ball, even if Rodri is coming back from an offside position and therefore gaining some kind of advantage from that. I'm not sure where exactly you draw that line but its at least a pretty close call here and not some kind of massive injustice.

They might do but they do like grinding out a game these days. It will catch up with them when the fixture congestion comes in
To be honest our current campaign feels like abit of a grind. Hopefully we put on a show and win in style tonight.

You can't blame the ref for the offside.

VAR looked at it and decided it wasn't offside. How they can allow a miles offside player to run towards a defender, challenge him, win the ball, and create a goal, and deem a new phase to have started at the point of winning the ball - absolutely insane officiating.

I'm happy their manager didn't let that one slide. Incredibly incompetent refereeing.

If that offside goal happened to the Scousers they’d be marching on Downing street by now
