Possession you have put is wrong we had 42% they had 58% same as shots the shots were equal. It is on the right side of this thread.
I don't have it 'wrong' mate. I took it from Livescore. No idea how they're so off.

Whilst I agree about Shaw, he made a few horrible errors defensively today.
Oh absolutely but I think its par for the course in our defence right now. I think a fit Bailly beside Maguire and a proper CDM (someone like Carrick if possible) and our defence and control of games looks miles better. The best thing about Shaw is that I think he's still got another level to go up, he's finally shaking off the leg break and becoming the player that he looked like he wad going to be when we signed him.

I really hope Southgate is considering him for the English team because that might be the confidence boost he needs right now for him to really show his top ability.

Liverpool really miss Van Dyke and consequently Fabinho's presence in the middle. Their best I think is still better than our best but we are making fine progress.

Great win.
Missed the start and the scouse goal, but we were excellent from then on just until after we took the lead.
Terrible to go so flat and sit back after our 2nd goal though. We thoroughly deserved to let them back in with the equaliser for our sloppy attitude at that point.
Full marks to Ole for recognising it and making the subs at that point and not wait until it was too late ...again!
Shame about Cavani’s header off the post. That would’ve been the icing on the cake.

Enjoyed seeing us really turn up in a big domestic game again. Had been a while since we did. Some top performances.

Luke Shaw is currently the best left back in the World
The Shaw of the First Half™ might be in contention but Shaw of the Second Half™ was, well, a bit shit. I mean we shouldn't praise our left-back too much when their right-sided forward scored a brace and could have had four.

One of the best derbies between us in a long time. Momentum kept switching massively. Our defence was shit. Too poor too often there. Quality game though and some cracking goals.

Good to see United stepping up to give the poor lads at Liverpool a little joy in these trying times. We've always been good to the ones in need

Jokes aside, absolutely deserved win. Their goals came from our own errors. Our second goal was lovely with VdB, Pogba, Cavani, Greenwood and Rashford all playing a part. And the winner, what more can you say about Bruno Fernandes. Man for the big occasion. Should've had an assist too.

Hard to pick a MOTM. Shaw, Pogba and Rashford were superb today. Will give it to Pogba for his willingness to keep running. He has stepped it up defensively and is deserving of the praise and his place in the team.

Now that we've won a big game, the players should have the confidence to push forward. They're good enough to beat anyone.

Don't understand lads on here saying beforehand they are not bothered if we won this match or not , even if it was only a pre season friendly I would be gutted to lose to them.

Great result , hopefully Rashford's knock is not serious , but always worried when it is the knee.

Rashy in the first half was unstoppable, was my MOTM. But wow, Bruno is unbelievable. Fantastic goal and also deserved an assist for that beautiful cross to Cavani

What a game. That’s the sweetest win of the season. Should’ve beat them at Anfield and deservedly won today, and we’ve still got a few yet to hit top form. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team.
Yep, huge confidence booster that we can score and win against the top teams.

Onto Sheff Utd midweek. Need to boot them, and hope Liverpool slip up v Tottenham and put a proper decent margin in.

They were the better team for much of the second half, but we did what we had to do and probably edged it over all. Very pleased.
You thought so? I thought they were going nowhere till we gifted them their 2nd goal. Of course then we were on the backfoot but with the changes we got back into it and deserved winners.

What a game, had everything I expected in a cup match. Pogba, Shaw and Rashford absolutely sublime. Van de Beek really needs to get his attacking motion going, so many times he should have pushed forwards looking to get the ball in with the players waiting but he just passes backwards. Can see why Ole doesn't pick him often. Shaw was MOM for me, he's really come into his own since Telles has threatened position. Was quite a clean game apart from dirty play by Fabihno, who I think is overated by pundits and people alike. Time to enjoy another 4 pack I think.

Agreed the second goal pulled them back into the game when we were in control, but that’s football. After that Liverpool were the better side tbf, proper back and forth, really good game.

Great stuff!

Hopefully Rashford's injury isn't too bad. Great to see Greenwood back on the score sheet and putting Rashford through for his goal. Hopefully this can ignite his season. Pogba fantastic again. Delighted

Has this just become a narrative now as it’s said after every game. He was very solid tonight, what could he have done for the goals or in general? Well played again Hendo.
Easy goal between the legs conceded. It was not “well played”, with all due respect

Great win. We went for it, and our counter attacking was great. Cavani unlucky with that great header too.

This team has grown so much. Well done Ole, im enjoying this so much.

What a win and what a game

And yet people weren’t bothered about today and didn’t care if we lost 6-0
