Why shouldn't he? He has been dragging this shower of shit defensive unit including that clown of a keeper in for the ride for a while now. You cannot expect to score 3 goals at home and not win. Ole needs to have a word with himself that keeper and CB duo has been shocking for over a year now but he still keeps on playing them.
Why’s De Gea a clown mate?

When did a section of our supporters become so averse to public criticism?

We're not talking about Jose levels of throwing under the bus, here. Bruno is stating the obvious. If more people connected to the club had his mentality we would be mounting a genuine title challenge, rather than this perceived title push we're having this season.

It’s not throwing teammates under the bus to say that we threw the game away. We led twice, once by two goals to nil, and conceded in the 95th minute of 4 added on. Even Ray Charles could see we blew it.

Won’t stop the media making out like this was a ‘KeAnO StYLe raNT!’ tantamount to treason though.

Any player who even opened his mouth to moan about those comments should be transfer listed immediately.

There has to be more to this, why would he be the one coming out saying this? He surely knows the clubs rules when talking to press and media etc? Bruno apparently has had a couple of run ins with Ole and this will probably lead to a third call into the managers office.

Nothing in those comments that were controversial or inflammatory in my opinion. I don’t really understand why anyone would think they were.

For what?

Absolute nonsense.

If they didn't want him talking he wouldn't do the interviews.

Spot on. The club needs more of this.

That defending was unacceptable today, not just by the keeper. I completely agree with him that United did enough to win that game twice.

To draw a game like that is just incredible. If the game had finished 5-0 you'd say it wasn't an unfair result on the balance of play.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Without naming any names he openly hung out a certain section of his teammates. Yes he was disappointed, but his comments aren't going to have a positive effect on the players he's targeting.
Those comments should come from the manager. Not a player surely!!
So we've got forwards who look like they can't be arsed and sulk, forwards who keep turning down shots when they're on, forwards who don't press, midfielders who don't track runners or mark on the edge of the box, defenders who keep making mistakes, a goalie who isn't assertive and we keep throwing easy points away....

... and you're bothered that one player speaks the truth in case it upsets them?

Not a player who hasn't got a leg to stand on but one who runs his socks off, always shows he's desperate to win and has a what... 1 in 2 scoring record?

Any player who listens to that and thinks "that's not fair" doesn't deserve to play professional sport, never mind play for Man United. One of the reasons we won so much for 20+ years was the manager, coaches and players didn't accept mediocrity or half arsed committment and continually pushed each other.

I don't just want Ole to say it, I want them ALL to say it.

(And you didn't even quote him initially, just threw a clickbait thread out).

I’ve said before and I will repeat myself. Bruno Fernandez is a winner and he is dragging this team to unexpected heights. I am sure he will not stick around if the team is not looking like winning any trophies. I suspect he is not just money oriented and anyway he will not be made a pauper if he went somewhere else that expects to win some silverware. If he upsets some players for speaking the truth then that marks those players as not particularly interested in winning but just earning as much as possible.

I agree.

I think it’s part of the reason Pogba will likely leave; Wpody does a great job of selling Disneyland but then goes out & buys Maguire for £80mil - when you score the goal he did & provide an assist for the 3rd the post match shouldn’t be about how you drew 3-3!

He’s doing his job & is continually let down by his defence.

We were profligate in front of goal yesterday but still mustered 3 goals, it feels like a loss.

So you’re saying ole sent him out there to have a moan about his teammates? Just to clarify
Really? Are you Kathy Newman?

He moaned about conceeding silly goals as a team.

If Ole had a problem with any of the comments Bruno has said to date he wouldn't be the one doing the interviews.

Sorry but I don't see nothing where he is blaming other players. He said 10 times We We We, meaning us, 11 players, saying that the team concedes too many goals isn't the same as blaming De Gea, Maguire or anything else, it's a collective sport, and if any player feels bad listening to something like that it's quite evident maybe they should move to a club where there's less pressure to win.

Does anyone think in the past players like Schmeichel, Keane, Scholes, Neville or Ferdinand would feel disappointed with this? It's quite obvious the team suffers a lot of goals, and it isn't the fault of player X or Y, maybe there's more than that...

Exactly. It’s nothing to do with how good he is for us, he’s just much more vocal and demanding of his peers.

Those traits are the only requirements of a captain, he’s the only one in the team with them so it has to be him.

No debate really.

For me Fernandez earns the right to say such things, the problem is it would appear nobody is saying such things, in the dressing room, on the training pitch, or anywhere else., or if they are doing it in private, nobody's taking any notice.

Its true some players don't like to speak in public about team mates, but nothing Bruno said was untrue, they did lose the lead, twice, and it was glaring defensive errors, in particular by De Gea, which lost us two points. There is nothing wrong in being honest, millions of people saw for themselves on TV anyway.

Personally I think it was a mistake by Ole to take off Greenwood, why for goodness sake ,he was occupying the left side of the Everton defence?

I feel desperately sorrow for Tuanzebe who came on 'cold', he was thrown into a high/intense pressure situation he didn't have time to mentally adjust to the pace and he gave away a free kick. Removing Greenwood freed up the left side for Everton, it unbalanced the United team, especially, as it turned out, in a set piece play.

I don’t recall too many united players being so tough on team mates in interviews. There are certain things the press/comms dept tell players to stay away from.

It’s simple.

You can’t captain the side & make as many individual errors as Maguire does.

Maguire is meant to be our leading defender as Bruno is our leading midfielder; you put Bruno in midfield & the performances of those around him elevated but even when Maguire plays well it happens in a silo, the defence around him doesn’t gain confidence as a unit.

Nowadays everyone is offended by everything. Why is everyone so soft these days? Bruno was spot on. He wants that clown Maguire out the team just like everybody else.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what he said.
We're in a title race. Calamitous defending like this has cost us all season and will be the reason we'll continue losing ground.

If these types of comments make you feel too "sensitive", then frankly you support the wrong club.

I've supported the club since I was born which I'm guessing is a lot longer than you have my friend.
Bruno was pointing a finger in those post match comments. He has a right to be disappointed in his teammates but that should be kept in the dressing room behind closed doors. If you're ok with that then fine. I'm not!

Kathy on the weekends?

He's being critical of the team conceeding silly goals. Rightly so.

Again, if they had any issues with it he wouldn't be the one sent of for interviews.

He's completely on the money with what he says, we're conceding too many sloppy goals.

Any player who doesn't like his comments know where the door is, we can't afford to have brittle mentalities in the dressing room if we want to win major honours.

Yes, pointing a finger at the collective defending which wasn't good enough and is letting them down.

What if what he said has been said many of times in the dressing room but his point isn't hitting home with certain players? Do we just keep relaying the same message hoping that one day they wake up and get their act together?

«You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood for something, sometime in your life.»

Anyone who has a problem with his comments can jog on. Or perhaps you miss the days where we couldn’t tell by looking at our players if we won or lost the game? Love the fire, and he’s absolutely right. 3 goals should be plenty, the attack did their job yesterday.

Ah yes, the older, more experienced members of society who've been repeatedly responsible for fecking up the world repeatedly remind us how much their vastly superior knowledge makes them better.

New day, same shet.

Bruno can do whatever he wants. He didn't call anybody out either. He criticized that we conceded. It just seems you want something to complain about.

Bruno is only saying what the majority of the supporters think.. I hope he was even more vocal behind closed doors.. it's also about time other players grasped the nettle.

What club rules?

I wasn’t aware of any club rules regarding players talking to press.
