We have fared worst embarrassments this season. Nothing tops Southampton. Not even a 9-1 loss today. It's still Southampton.

But if we are going to be abject and dire might as well get it out now. Allow Klopp to focus his mind in sussing out that Firmino and Wijnaldum are no good when other teams have worked out everything comes through the full backs and nowhere else. From Southampton to City thrashing us, they are all in on it.

Klopp is a genius for a reason. Like Pep needed a slap to sort himself and City out Klopp will use this slap in the same way.

I guess you could look at it like that. There must be a concern though that this is potentially the end of a brilliant cycle. Several players just don’t look anywhere near prior levels and potential evolution of the side (Thiago), just isn’t working out.

He won’t have the vast resources to try to refresh the side either. No star studded bench for Klopp, and no opportunity to try several solutions with no pressure.

Get in, was a more even game than the scoreline, we still look a little goal shy (weird thing to say after we've hammered Liverpool 4-1 with a missed peno). Its like we just chilled, stayed patient didn't over commity and waited for Liverpool to cough up some goals for us after they run themselves into the ground. I think like Pep last season, Liverpool of course with injuries being an issue also have been found out tactically.

When even Pep knows to sit in, press in phases and prevent overloads from crosses they are in trouble. City and Brighton both beat them playing a style they rarely play.

Absolutly. But they only got themself in this position. They could have bought real cover in January but they didn't. They should have bought one more CB when they let Lovern go in the summer. We were impacted by injuries las season and nobody felt sorry for us. Injuries are part of the game.
