The stats speak for themselves and have been posted in here by others previously, he’s not been a stand out player this season.
By other Brady haters, indeed. He also had 40 TDs and a 100+ passer rating this season - for every bad stat you could probably give a good one too, but I can't be arsed defending Brady that much.

If a player goes to the Super Bowl as often as he doesn't over a 20-year career and some stats prove that he's been bad, I truly believe there are other intangibles at play that can elevate a franchise to another level, something that not every QB in the league is capable of. He is not even remotely the only person responsible for their success this season but he did turn them around.

It’s particularly bizarre to me that a United fan can’t understand this logic, given how much we have benefited from exactly this with SAF.

Cousins could probably get this team to the Super Bowl.
Could be I'm missing something but didn't the Vikings have a great defense the last few years and Thielen/Diggs/Cook as offensive weapons? Where's the big difference then?

Put Brady on the Vikings and they're making the playoffs this year imo.

I mean they might have made a superbowl with a league average QB. They managed to make it with Brady playing like ass.

I'd go as far to say that Brady has had much more impressive performances/feats than this year. The Bucs are stacked, they just needed a QB not to throw 30 picks.

What season / stats / anything can you point to that can support this? Is there a season where Cousins’ stats even remotely compare to this season alone for Brady? That’s even ignoring everything else. And that’s also pretending like the Vikings have had a bad team with no quality players and no highly rated coaches.

And yet we are amazed that MAGA fans can’t process readily available resource.
I don’t even know what this means but for all you like talking about “haters” being biased the bias on the other side is blinding.

Cousins has been just as good as Brady the last couple years. Brady probably more adaptable to the Bucs as they bowed down to his preferred scheme. Don't see why Cousins couldn't have done this with the Bucs.

The difference I am talking specifically about the bias of the haters who I am replying to on this thread. Not the “general” bias be it in the media or elsewhere that you may refer to.

We just went over how Cousins is probably underrated in general the other week. An above average QB with this offensive weapons and coaching backed by a great D can make the SB. It’s happened several times before in similar scenarios.

Meh always gonna be the case sadly. I’ve allowed myself to get roped into it too. Wish I had your control
 - I don’t get why he’s so polarising. Unless I’ve missed something, he’s a decent guy who gets on with pretty much all his teammates & the ultimate professional. I’m all for people debating why they think he’s not the GOAT but to completely discredit him the way certain posters do, it’s pointless discussing Brady with them.

People done line winners. Just like no one like United. No one used to like Arsenal when they were good, now everyone just feels sorry for them.

I think that one thing that has not been really noticed is the relative strength of the AFC versus the NFC and moreover, the difference in quality and age between the QBs in the two conferences. Looking at just the Divisional Round, the AFC had Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, and Mayfield whereas the NFC had Rodgers, Brady, Brees, and Goff. Even going back to the other teams in the Playoffs, you had Rivers, Tannehill, and Roethlisberger in the AFC versus Wilson, Heinicke, and Trubisky in the NFC. In terms of the QBs whose teams didn't make the Playoffs, you have Watson, Herbert, and Carr in the AFC versus Prescott (Injured for most of the season), Murray, and Stafford in the NFC. Then you consider that the #1, #2, and #3 picks all belong to AFC teams, with a generation prospect in Lawrence going #1. Unless Watson gets traded out of the AFC, you're likely to see a re-run of the late Noughties when the AFC was much the better conference in terms of QBs.

I mean you only have to compare the two seventh seeds this year. The Colts went 11-5 and were competitive with the Bills; the Bills were well-beaten by the Chiefs but that says more about the Chiefs than it does about the Bills for me. On the other hand, the Bears went 8-8 and lost comfortably to the Saints who are a decent bit worse than the Bucs. On the whole, I think you have to account for the fact that the AFC was the better conference this year and probably will be for the next few years at least. The Bucs, whilst also a very good team, did benefit from playing against teams led by Taylor Heinicke and washed-up Drew Brees. That's not to say they won't win tonight; even in the Brady/Manning/Roethlisberger/Rivers era in the late-'00s, the Giants, the Saints, and the Packers all won Super Bowls. But there's a part of me that thinks a lot of the reason why they got to the NFC Conference Game in the first place was a weak Playoff schedule (Notwithstanding a high-quality win at Lambeau).

Same. I just hope it’s the same group that normally do the highlights shows. Think they’re more entertaining than the Sky lot.
Just seen mate that the BBC actually starts at 11 and not 11.30. 11 on BBC 2 and then switch over to BBC 1 at 11.30

Sky pre-game then BBC for me assuming they’ve got Carlson.
Yep, Carlson is on the BBC panel along with Chapman, Umenyiora and Bell

Congrats to the HOFers voted in yesterday, except John Lynch. He's not better than Butler or Woodson, neither getting a sniff of Canton at the moment.

Also, congrats to Drew Pearson getting the call that he should have received three decades ago. Every bit as good as Stallworth and Swann. And special congrats to Tom Flores because if Coughlin gets in eventually off two SB wins Flores had to be in, along with Jimmy who got in last year.

So much time to kill stil...
21:07 here. Had my kid in hospital for a 4 1/2 hour operation on Friday, slept around 3 hours both Friday and Saturday night because my wife and I had to make sure he was ok after we got home.

My mind is saying I am so going to stay up to watch the first quarter just to say I watched a bit....my eyes / body are saying 15 minutes top and that alarm won't be waking me up

Something I've watch for the last 20 years or so but might be the first time I'm gonna have to pass and try and watch it in the morning and avoid any chance of finding out who wins before I can see the recording!

Hey! The Weeknd is great

Tempted to crack my first Stella but am afraid I'm gonna be dozing off before kick-off. Gonna stick with the coffee until the national anthem.

He is, but I’d rather they focus on getting back to the football so I can sleep earlier!!

As always I put the disclaimer of never betting on my advice, but if KC wins one or both of Kelce & Hill will have to have a massive game. Since Mahomes won it (edit: MVP) last, there may be some sentiment to give it to someone else.

That‘s if KC wins, which is like 51/49% on happening or not.
