Ole's coaching was strong enough to disband Martial F.C.They wouldn't with Ole as manager that's for sure.
Not even Jose could achieve that.

He had a nice patch. Does he now look remotely like that player? So we're just gonna completely ignore last season which was Martial's best season by far?
Overall, Martial has been better for Ole than he was for LVG and Mourinho. That is my point.
Playing purely as a striker and won feck all.Nah he scored more last season than any other, only time he’s hit 20 I think.
Reality is kicking on now I think though.Unbeaten run: Ole is at the wheel. Ole doubters shall meet a thousand Amaterasu flames in hell
Horrible run: the players. no investment.
Can’t get every transfer right and this was clearly a player put forward by VdS and decided upon by the transfer board. But we all knew the squad weaknesses.
It does make you wonder what the real story was with VDB, shelling 40m out on him then barely giving him a look in.
He barely starts when Pogba is out, so the "he's Pogba's replacement" talk doesn't wash either.
You cant possibly mean that.My point is that they'd also be ahead with Sterling as a player manager.
Of course he does, Manchester United fans, especially ones with Ole in their username have been telling us for ages now that a manager is pretty pointless. You cant possibly mean that.
I am usually wary of usernames composed of 'ole' and 'boii' or some variation of that, but that poster seemed reasonable in the CE forum.Of course he does, Manchester United fans, especially ones with Ole in their username have been telling us for ages now that a manager is pretty pointless.
Manchester United fans.... it’s mind blowing.

In his defense, I did kind of provoke him.I am usually wary of usernames composed of 'ole' and 'boii' or some variation of that, but that poster seemed reasonable in the CE forum.
Is that really the case though? I remember at the time of the signing that there was news that Ole had personally called VDB several times to convince him to join. Either way, it looks like something is not right and more money potentially wasted. Can’t get every transfer right and this was clearly a player put forward by VdS and decided upon by the transfer board.
Ole didn’t veto especially as the price was so good and he was highly rated, but Ole has clearly been disappointed with what he sees in training and games.
It happens, Keita’s a great example at Liverpool.
I don’t think it’s at all weird if a highly rated player is offered to you and you call him to say you want him to join, only to be disappointed in the reality of it.Is that really the case though? One minute he’s moaning about us not spending the next he’s moaning that he wants us to spend.
You dont really believe that do you? Although looking at your username... You just might
You cant possibly mean that.
Tongue in cheek obviously, but I do believe any manager in the PL could win the title with this City team.In his defense, I did kind of provoke him.
To be honest if not for those questionable penalties (at least to me, but since arsenal is not challenging top 4 so i don't care), thing may look a bit different. The point is apart from City we have had a better season than every other squad. That is the point.
yes we’d be evenhigher if VAR was half decent which is also missed by a lot of people. To be honest if not for those questionable penalties (at least to me, but since arsenal is not challenging top 4 so i don't care), thing may look a bit different.
Let's not kid ourselves. We are lucky to be 2nd (not for long though).yes we’d be evenhigher if VAR was half decent which is also missed by a lot of people.
Why? Which other teams have been better than us and deserve to be there?Let's not kid ourselves. We are lucky to be 2nd (not for long though).
Honestly with current form you are in top 4 fight with the rest of the pack after sunday. Why? Which other teams have been better than us and deserve to be there?
No team deserve to be 2nd. All teams have been very inconsistent. However I think we have been pretty lucky with some comeback wins (or wins like against Wolves) and according to stats, we are 4th best which is probably about right. I think Chelsea will finish above us for sure. I can definitely see us dropping to 5th as our wheels completely fell off. But whether we finish 4th, 3rd or even maintain 2nd - that's not the point. Point is, we are absolutely least likely out of City, Liverpool and Chelsea to mount a serious title challenge next season. City will no doubt be a machine yet again, Liverpool have been extremely unlucky with injuries this season and will be better next season for sure and then we have Chelsea, who have a history of doing the unexpected (+ they got a decent manager). I think it's quite clear that 70 pts is Ole's ceiling and it's not gonna take us very far. Why? Which other teams have been better than us and deserve to be there?

Can you tell me when this has been proven please? This would make sense if people were disappointed in Ole because of purely results.
You need great players to win titles, you don't need great players to build an identity or improve the collective of a team. This has been proven time and time again.
Honestly mate, after the weekend we’re likely to be behind Leicester, better we wait and see how the season pans out.Noone has deserved to be second.
Got it.
I think that’s enough RedCafe for me tonight.
Klopp completely changing Liverpool's style and implementing his style on the team even when they had a fecking rubbish squad. Pep doing the same to City with a 80 year old defence and midfield. Nagelsmann at Leipzig. Hassenhuttl at Southampton. Potter at Brighton. Marco Rose. The list goes on.Can you tell me when this has been proven please?
So of your examples (of which there are apparently plenty) of teams building an identity whilst not having good players.Klopp completely changing Liverpool's style and implementing his style on the team even when they had a fecking rubbish squad. Even if all those styles weren't followed with consistent results due to the quality of personnel, you can identify their style and there is evidence of coached patterns of play and movement.
What a fecking terrible post. The Liverpool and Man city squads I gave examples of were when those two first came in. Yet you're comparing them currently. So of your examples (of which there are apparently plenty) of teams building an identity whilst not having good players.
a) Man City aka the most expensive squad ever assembled
b) a Liverpool team that are currently below us playing much worse football.
c) a team that is going to be relegated
d) a Southampton team that I have absolutely no idea how they play because who the feck watches Southampton.
Obviously we deserve to be second, we're second. Numbers don't lie, you play the games on the schedule, etc.No team deserve to be 2nd.
Southampton and Brighton have scored four goals in their last eight league games. What a fecking terrible post. The Liverpool and Man city squads I gave examples of were when those two first came in. Yet you're comparing them currently.
That Liverpool team are currently terrible, but are coming off two seasons winning the CL and EPL - something which looks like an afterthought with our current 'coach'
Glad you admitted you know feck all about Southampton and Brighton, I weep for you, you must not be aware of any fast, exciting football. Should try giving teams with lesser players who play better football than us a try sometime - refreshing break from the fecking drab 0-0 games we have to endure everytime we don't get a penalty or rely on a moment of brilliance
Also just for a little topping - one of the aforementioned coaches knocked us out of the CL with far inferior players. Funnily enough, you seemed to have missed him
Continue with the straw man arguments though, seems to be the only thing people who want to keep Ole have to try and justify their continued support for him
