Big man on campus then.
I couldn't care less what you think of him, I simply appreciate him for having some passion for the club at this point, for me he is probably the best rounded player in the world and I have no problems saying it in my bias view.

No, it wasn't meant to be derogatory. It was meant to be a he could have achieved more but didn't, which would be true. You're being a bit too precious.
Spurs fans don't like it when you point out the difference between steak and fish fingers.

Well he shouldn't lie then. Acid test is if you dont get CL and he stays anyway. Cant be bluffing about being a winner then

It’s always struck me as an odd criticism from opposition fans.

Surely a great player displaying (at least so far) the old fashioned one-man club mentality is a thing to be admired.

You can admire it, while still feeling it's a shame that a player of his talent won't be remembered in history the same way he would've been had he gone to a bigger club and achieved bigger things.

Yeah and if the posts about him were all phrased like that then that would be fine. Its a fair analysis.

A lot of them fall into this style though.
I think hes a bluffer. All talk about being a winner but hes comfortable being Captain Harry of Spurs. If he were serious he wouldnt spend 2 years at this Spurs.

He is not even 28 yet, he has plenty more years to win things with us and I really hope he does. We were in a champions League final not even that long ago remember.

Seeing Alisson being sent up for a last minute corner to try and rescue a point at home vs Fulham was just glorious

I've recorded the last 5 minutes of Match of the Day so that in the future if I'm feeling blue, I can switch on Danny Murphys face, analysing Liverpool losing to City just after United beating City.

I feel bad saying it but Murphy doesn’t annoy me as much as he used to.

He's certainly improved, but he used to be bad enough that I feel no guilt in revelling in his discomfort.

Has to be one of our best days in the league in a long while surely, triumphing in the derby at City and Liverpool limp to another home defeat against Fulham.

A win tonight for Everton would be huge, probably even more important than their win at Anfield if they can pull it off. Expecting a Chelsea win though. West Ham vs Leeds should be fun too.

Ole should never drop back and wait for the counter against any team. That game showed they can go toe to toe with any PL squad and play on the front foot instead of laying back and absorbing rival's attacks. There is a time in every game you have to suffer through a defensive segment, but when you have talent, it shouldn't be the game plan.

The idea was to catch them cold at the start of each half and it worked. You sit back and let them have 100% possession then you will get hit sooner or later. A few clubs have gone toe to toe but fallen at the last hurdle. We just had a more resolute defence and it worked. It really could have been 3/4 goals as they ran out of steam before recuperating

Don't think we will win tonight. No Doucoure or Davies in the first XI is a shame as they both provide energy. Allan will do that too but would be helpful to have another beside him instead of Gomes.

Have you seen the Chelsea line up though? No Mount and bloody Zouma in the middle, you can just run past him or wait for him to make a mistake..

No mount or Chillwell is pretty ballsy from Tuchel, especially considering the former was the best player on the pitch. Chelsea do have a lot of depth options though. Could make two solid first XIs out of that squad.

I doubt Zouma will be in the middle. His selection probably has to do with Everton having the most headed goals in the league. Also why Alonso is back instead of Chilwell.

Feels weird that I'd be quite fine with a Chelsea win today.

I think you've got quite a good chance, they aren't scoring too often and like @Nickholas said, they're without Mount who's arguably their best player. Is Rodriguez injured at the moment? Feels like he's missed a big chunk of the season.

I wish we could make 7 subs. Our bench is incredible.

Werner has been fantastic lately although still not scoring. I am still not worried about Werner because his workrate, press and assists have been excellent and his pace is always dangerous.

Havertz has to show up though. This is his big chance now and he is finally playing in a position he stated he enjoys. No excuses now and not hindered by Lampard’s management.

I have never heard of the referee David Coote in my life. Hope he’s good.

Yeah, he unfortunately picks up a lot of muscle injuries. Absolutely fantastic player but a sick-note.

Glad to see Thiago Silva back but I’m also glad to see Christensen keeping his place which is something I never thought I’d say. He’s been fantastic under Tuchel.

That's rotten luck, having a quick look over the last few years it seems to be a recurring theme. He's certainly shown his quality when he's played.

I always find it interesting when a new manager comes, sometimes the players who undergo a resurgance are the least you expect.
