Let's buy Rice for £50m or £60m+Lingard.

Are we still making that joke, or have the Caf's resident football geniuses been shown up?

If he makes his move permanent he is going to score in every game against us

My goodness. How come Lingard is so good under Moyes and so terrible when at United?

Never thought I’d say this but maybe we give him another chance? In covid times tight budget and with VDB being a total flop we need a back up for Bruno.

If we sell him for £30m after this run of form we'd be fools.

I'm still unsure about keeping him, if we can get this Lingard back, what an asset he'll be next season, he's the most inform player in the Premier League and almost single-handedly taking West Ham into the Champions League, that and him being an England international, still a decent age, United have to demand £60m for him.

His contract ends next season.

He’s already put our things in bin liners and left them on the front lawn.

Jokes aside the treatment he got on here was abysmal and I am so glad for him. Hope he keeps it up and gets his career back on track. Well done Jesse.

For context: prior to this gameweek Lingard was overperforming his xG to a greater extent than Lionel Messi. And now he's scored again.

That tells us two things: 1) He's doing very well. 2) It would be very stupid to change your mind on him based on this brief, insanely unsustainable period of form.

Great for us if we want to cash in on him shortly. Bad for us if we use it as a basis for bringing him back to the club.

Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt here -- lets not write someone too early? VDB included.

He’s destined to score the winner in the CL 2022 final, sinking Bayern in the process and getting Moyesie a Knighthood

This is incredible. Lingard and Moyes combining to knock out everyone from the CL spots. Who would have thought that 1 year ago

I saw Michael Caulfield explain the situation with players and how a lot of managers and clubs don't understand psychology.
I am not sure if United has one but could now understand why talented players fall off.
Players like Martial, Lingard, Greenwood are talented players and if they don't perform to their capabilities for a long time then something else is wrong.

8 goals and 3 assists in 9 league matches. He is single handedly dragging West Ham to European football.

More open play goals than Bruno this season in less than half a season...
Lingard is probably one of the best examples of the caf being short termist and knee jerk. Good player but off the pitch issues and was low in confidence.

But there's no way he'd get the space he does for West Ham here. Most of his goals are coming on the counter. Bruno is often playing against low blocks and getting man marked.

I am really glad for him, if he is happy with current situation and place where he is at, good luck to him.

Think the price has changed to Rice + £30m for Lingard now
