Does Tuchel’s success at Chelsea show we should have sacked Solksjaer?

Chelsea removed a good/average manager and replaced him with an elite level manager and are now reaping the rewards. Chelsea will be City’s main challengers next year because they took proactive steps to become challengers again. I worry we’ve missed a trick by not doing the same.

What success?

Coming 2 weeks after a 5-2 battering at home to west Brom this thread feels very misplaced

I'm not the biggest fan as Ole as manager but at this point with this squad, to be 2nd in the league and in the semi-final of the Europa, how much better could someone else be doing?

That happens. City just lost to leeds with 10 men at home. But the stats speak for themselves only 2 losses since he come one in the second leg of a tie we went through in. A cl semi final an fa cup final and well on course to finish in the top 4.

I’m not even taking a dig (I think so, anyway), but this poster’s threads always have me confused as to whether they are serious or troll threads

I would argue they replaced a terrible manager with a good one, and so they were bound to see an improvement.

Have we even lost since Tuchel came in?
Before the Leicester loss, we had 14 games without losing, now we are 4 wins on the bounce and hopefully make it 5 tomorrow. We aren't doing bad ourselves.

I know it's a troll thread, by the way, but still.

I'm not debating ole. Just responding to that post.
I don't know about the league but you lost to Leicester last round.
im not saying Tuchel isn’t a brilliant coach. I don’t have a clue to be honest. I know your results have definitely improved. I think that loss in the cup is our only defeat in quite a long time though and Chelsea nearly have as many options as city to keep the squad fresh late in the season. I would expect you guys to do much better next year. We also beat city this season. I wouldn’t say there’s too much between Utd and Chelsea these days.

Let me remind you that they also spent like 200m£ this summer on top world class players, it eventually needed to start to click.

You said steps.
Is removing a manager and getting a new one classed as two steps?

We are 2nd and have improved since last season, lost 4 games all season same as city. Improve a couple of positions and turn some of these draws into wins and we will be challenging. There is no basis to right us off given where we are right now.

Good point and question.

Since Tuchel signed for Chelsea we have:

In Premier League 6 wins - 5 draws - 1 lost and second in Premier League
In FA cup 1 win and 1 lost meaning out in Q-finals.
In Europa League 4 wins - 2 draws and through to semi.

Lampards most impressive feat was making everyone forget that they spunked 200m last summer and were widely expected to be challenging for the title

We should have won against West Brom and Everton, 4 points more and suddenly the end of the season becomes a title race.
