Its a weird one. Chinese company who owns Inter have pretty much been told by their government to get out of football. Its affecting a bunch of clubs in Europe, Wolves apparently one of them.
So Inter effectively are trying to settle all debts before selling. They need close to 100mill immediately.

How is this relevant to your post talking about Lindelof being our first regular XI as part of '''success''? If it was success then we shouldn't be looking for an expensive centre back for first XI, we could just spend 20m or less like Telles if what we are aiming for is backup and use the majority budget on improving other areas.
It’s relevant because it demonstrates that us wanting to buy a new defender doesn’t make him a failure. He himself isn’t for sale by all accounts. He cost 30m, and has been a regular here. He is a successful signing.
Similarly, I mentioned left back. Many are listing Telles as another failure, so why are we not looking for a new left back this summer? Simply, players doing what was expected of them have not failed. We may want to raise those expectations further, but that doesn’t make them failures.

It's irrelevant because Telles was signed for backup and he did his job as backup. If we wanted a regular or first XI LB last summer, we wouldn't sign Telles but instead going for someone more expensive or proven like Chilwell for instance.
On contrary, Lindelof was signed to be our first XI CB so why are we still in the market for expensive first XI CB?
We don’t know what Lindelöf was signed for. Mourinho bought him, bought Bailly and wanted Maguire for more than double what they both cost. Lindelöf wasn’t huge money, and for what he cost, he has come in and done what has been expected. He’s played like a 30m odd centre half and then some. The ones we apparently want are being priced above 60m. If we buy one for 70m yet refuse to sell Lindelöf, it is because we want a player better than Lindelöf, not because he’s been a failure.
How do you know Telles was signed as back up? Like Lindelöf, he was likely signed to be one of the options and compete for his position. Shaw has performed better than ever, but if he didn’t, Telles would likely have played. If Bailly had played better than Lindelöf, he would have played, however, Victor has done well. He’s just not one of the world’s best, but he was never billed as such.
If we have Dias, Maguire, Bailly, & Tuanzebe, would we still be in for those expensive CB this summer?
Probably not, I suspect we’d be happy with £80m Maguire and £65m Dias as first choice partnership, with the others providing cover.
Given that isn’t what we have though, we only have one very top class centre half, and then room for improvement, we have decided to fill that room to improve. Which doesn’t mean Lindelöf hasn’t been a success. It means that he is not one of the very best.
You asked me if Telles is considered by many as failure, so why are we not in for LB anymore, the answer is pretty obvious because we have Luke Shaw.
The same logic of failure should be applied on Lindelof, we are in the market of first XI CB because we have Bailly & Lindelof not someone like Dias.
Don’t think you understood. We want to have two left backs. One of them is Shaw, the other Telles. The fact that we are not looking for a left back is because we are happy with the TWO that we have, not just Shaw. Last season, we had Shaw and Williams, and signed a LB. Us signing Telles in the first place last summer was not because we didn’t want Shaw, which is why he was ot for sale.
The fact that Lindelöf isn’t as good as Dias doesn’t make him a failure. Maguire not being as good as Dias may make him a failure - because of our group of 4 centre halves, he has a different profile to Lindelöf. If we signed Rice this summer, it would not make Scott a failure. It would make him not as good as Rice. We’d likely still keep Scott, but take the opportunity to improve.
Lindelöf was a little known centre half who cost 30m and has come in and been a regular here. There is no way he’s failed. He can be improved upon, but to do so, we’d need to go and get a player at a different level and profile of what Lindelöf was when we signed him. When we bought Lindelöf, we knew we could have gotten Koulibaily or Van Dijk for almost 3 times the price, and they would be better! If we are choosing to go that route now, then great, we will get a better player. Lindelöf will be back up, and will still not be considered a failure.

Where did I say we signed Telles because we didn't want Shaw? This shows how much you don't understand and only making things up on something I didn't say. We chose to sign a left back because our backup Brandon is not good enough and that's why we chose to sign Telles so he can be a better backup than Brandon instead of Chilwell because Ole believes Shaw is good enough to be in our XI, thus there is no need to blow our transfer budget on LB.
On contrary, we are trying to spend lot of money on CB again because Lindelof is not good enough to be in our XI, thus why we are still searching for a new CB who is good enough for our XI. Cost the same as prime Bonucci in 2017 CB market but doesn't play the same level as prime Bonucci and now we are still hunting for a regular XI CB.

Can't be letting facts get in the way of an anti Raiola narrative! Player that has actively ran his contract down refusing contract after contract gets done over by his club declaring he is free to leave
Complaining about something before something has actually happened is a new one.
What did you expect him to do? Announce 3 new signings at the end of the game?
Bit of a stupid one from me, fair enough.
Frustrations not with Ole on this one. Just don't have faith we'll get the signings right as a club, based on the last 8 years.
Complain at the start of the season if there are no signings.
Come on glass half full, let’s see what the club do in the summer as that is twice now Ole has called out for 2 or 3 signings publicly. Maybe the pressure of Ole, ESL, and losing a EL final would push them to get their cheque books out
We need more than improved personnel. Some teams play very well regularly but you can see they have player limitations. With us, it’s the reverse. More often than not we play poorly, but we have good players.
Add a better manager on top of the list
Probably need a lesson on how to make subs as well.
