He’s been underachieving for yearsAncelotti was a scoop for Everton. It almost had to happen sooner or later that a big club stole him.
Prices seem doable as well. Top end we are hearing £80m for Sancho. £35m for Varane and £15m for Trippier. So around £130m.Sancho, Varane and Trippier would be an incredible window.
Baffles meI still struggle to believe AWB was ever a winger, even as a lad playing in the park.
He’s going to kick so many doors on the way out and shout down the corridorsYes please!
Dalot summed it up “After the Euro’s”Where the feck are the United related transfer news?!
Yeah agree totally. I’m a fan of both Barella and Camavinga.Yeah he guarantees goals but not a lot else. Impressive stats but for me, majority of his time in the premiership and certainly with us....stats dont tell the whole story, massively over rated as a player. If he is staying and Inter need to raise money.......Barella would probably be near a Rice type fee, but his ability and style is just made for the premiership. Him or (preferably and if I was to dream) Camavinga is about as good as we can sign this summer for central midfield
Yeah I said the same in a follow up post, it’s a position we are very low on options for and I do like Trippier. I’m just keen to improve the starting 11.The more important aspect may be that we can then rotate him with Trippier. He was one of the few players playing both PL and CL/Europa. There were quite a few games he looked tired particularly at Christmas. Williams needs a loan move and Trippier would be a decent cover/competition option.
We desperately need a defensive midfielder. Someone like Rice could allow us to play both Pogba and Fernandes in a 4-3-3. IF we were able to bring those players in for those fees, I'd hope we could also sign a top DCM after moving on the likes of Lingard, James, Williams, Dalot, one of our CBs (preferably Bailly), Jones (hah) and maybe DVB and one of our keepers. Probably dreaming to hope for a net spend above 100m, though.Prices seem doable as well. Top end we are hearing £80m for Sancho. £35m for Varane and £15m for Trippier. So around £130m.
With The players we have to sell we could possibly still get one more in.

Only Varane. The others are on waay too big contracts to leaveAren't the likes of Mariano, Jovic, Isco, Marcelo and Varane primed to leave though?
Hopefully Rice or another DM.Prices seem doable as well. Top end we are hearing £80m for Sancho. £35m for Varane and £15m for Trippier. So around £130m.

Weird reaction. We as fans are not competing with journalists. So whether we know more than them is irrelevant. We can judge them compared to each other though.
….& you know more than him do you?
Always makes me laugh when football fans call out journo’s for knowing “feck all” yet know “feck all” themselves, so really have no authority to judge a professional journalists knowledge of an area, that we as football fans, quite frankly only are aware of a tiny tiny tiny tiny percentage of what actually goes on behind the scenes.
I guess everything is a PR stunt too eh?
Yep.Prices seem doable as well. Top end we are hearing £80m for Sancho. £35m for Varane and £15m for Trippier. So around £130m.

Ah okay. Cheers. Thanks for the infoOnly Varane. The others are on waay too big contracts to leave
A lot will also depend on how many sales rather than loans we get done.Yep.
I think that realistically, both DDG and Lingard are going to be leaving. That's an additional £40m-£50m in the coffers.
Then one of Pogba and Martial is also likely to leave imo. Otherwise it'd be 7 options for 3 spaces:
RW - Sancho, Amad
CF - Cavani, Greenwood
LW - Rashford, Pogba/Martial
Whichever out of those two goes, that's another £30m-£70m on top of the figure above.
Taken as a total, we could possibly even afford to buy two further additions. But most probably it'll be one squad player and one prospect if we're being honest.
Martial - not going anywhere IMOA lot will also depend on how many sales rather than loans we get done.
Dalot
Pereira
Dan James
Lingard
Martial
De Gea
Phil Jones
Sergio Romero
Juan Mata
Matic
It’s a bloody long list of players who could leave and help refill the coffers.

How odd - he's been terrible for them, yet they renew is contract. What do they see in him?Tweet

That's what I thought, he scored 15 goals in his last 4 seasons. Its not like he had anywhere else to go.How odd - he's been terrible for them, yet they renew is contract. What do they see in him?
As a Utd fan, that's a question you're asking of another club? How odd - he's been terrible for them, yet they renew is contract. What do they see in him?
hahaha, so true.As a Utd fan, that's a question you're asking of another club?
They have something like 12 players out of contract this summer, they have to try to keep some of them, even if they're not great or they'd be completely fecked. How odd - he's been terrible for them, yet they renew is contract. What do they see in him?
He was their second highest scorer in the PL this season with 10 goals, as opposed to the 2, 1 and 3 he bagged in the previous three seasons. With a load of their players out of contract, I guess that bit of a resurgence in form was enough for them to think he was worth keeping for now.How odd - he's been terrible for them, yet they renew is contract. Absolutely, scored more goals than Timo Werner and Bobby Firmino last season! We have A LOT of work to do this summer and after seeing someone like Chris Wood being touted for £30m (and with only one other striker), this makes total sense from our perspective. He was their second highest scorer in the PL this season with 10 goals, as opposed to the 2, 1 and 3 he bagged in the previous three seasons. I had assumed PJ's contract would be coming up soon, but turns out there's another 2 years to goMartial - not going anywhere IMO
Dan James - not going anywhere IMO
Phil Jones - only way he'll go is if we release him IMO.
Sergio Romero - contract has ended. Has pretty much left the club.
Juan Mata - contract has ended but no announcement yet. Could he be staying!
Good stuff, otherwise we could risk him leaving for free this summer!I had assumed PJ's contract would be coming up soon, but turns out there's another 2 years to go

I must admit, what's the incentive for him to move here aside from the family connection? He can either stay as first choice at La Liga champions and see out his final years in lovely warm Madrid or he can slug it out with Wan-Bissaka at Utd. I'd probably stay put if I was him..
Thats that then. On to the next one.
