I was involved in a case where player in big Club had to end his career because of a congenital heart condition and he just did not accept it, I felt sorry for him. It was discovered in a preseason routine test.

Phew, positives signs at least. Still furious about the coverage. This is not only disrespectful to Eriksen himself, his family and his team but also to the first responders who were fighting for his life.

Nobody wants to be in their shoes, believe me. Had to perform PCR myself (thankfully the person regained his breathing even before the ambulance arrived) a couple of years back and some teenage punk tried to film the scene on his phone. Thankfully after I screamed at him to get the phone away another bystander ripped it out his hands and smashed it on the ground. Some people just have no shame.

Kudos to you and everyone who ever had to go through this. Was just telling my gf: I would never want to be in the situation to perform PCR. Horrible.

This is my point. People need to get out of the mindset a medic needs to do CPR. Anyone can! Basic life skills that could help you save someone in the street or a loved one.

They shouldn't have been waiting for the medics to come over. The team staff should have been able to identify the issue and start on the CPR. If they aren't trained for that then questions need to be asked.

They were certainly fast enough to revive and stabalize him anyway.

Hard to know what will happen. The players might be so distressed, bit in the same vein, they might want to go out and play the game for him.

I heard on here that the Dutch did the same. I've heard reports from other countries where they saw everything. One person on here in Portugal said they showed replays of it.

Can't vouch for all these reports but it seems that some broadcasters dropped a bollock and others acted sensibly.
