Its right up there.

Suarez
Maradona
Sterling

The way Danes rallied after the trauma of eriksen epitomised the very best of football. All undone by the very worst

Eh? Even the Swedes here and Jonas Eriksson (FIFA ref) saying it’s a pen, the replay clearly showed the connection.

Confused?
And waddle and Richards saying dive and crowd affected var. He's a serial cheat and just cheated a nation out of a semi final

It's crazy that in a VAR world, they let that go ahead as a penalty. ESPECIALLY IN A feckING SEMI FINAL. Mad decision

Don't forget Henry's handball. The absolute sense of hopelessness and disbelief that it happened at the time was sickening. I can imagine exactly how the Danish will feel about this, except it will probably be even worse for them as there were video refs who somehow actually gave it the nod. Really unbelievable, unless I'm missing something obvious.

It’s alright. Lee Dixon said he doesn’t mind that he dived.

Yeah he cheats.

What's worse is that the ref and the VAR guys still can't see it as a dive.

Dunno if this makes top 3 but given it's a VAR era it's fecking embarassing.

Imaging being Danish and lose because of diving & inept ref. Heartbreaking. And I didn't even care for them that much 20 mins go.

Its incredible. A nation who still moans about a qf loss 35 years ago and disallowed goal in a game they got battered in, happily turning a blind eye to cheating an underdog nation out of a final

Up there with the Henry, Maradona, Suárez deliberate handballs. I've never seen cheating in a match before, a travesty, Denmark deserved this.

UEFA supports divers so the decision to award a pen is not a surprise. Considering we have a VAR, this is definitely at the top of the list.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
Trying to think of what is Chelsea most infamous bit of pitch "cheating"?

Spunking a load of money doesn't count. I mean during a match, a single incident.

Sterling is only nudged over because hes diving over anyway.
Shocking.

There was definitely contact, which is why it wasn't overturned by what has been a very light touch VAR system.

But if the question is just "is that a penalty?" then most people (probably including the VAR) would say no. The ref's initial decision just has too much weight. There was minimal contact and he was going down regardless.

As United fans we can all admit Rooney dived against Arsenal all those years ago. Regardless of whether you're an England fan or not it was a blatant dive. England deserved the win though.

I remember when Southgate used to have it in for Ronaldo for diving  He won't mind that.

Having Atkinson on the payroll for 15 years.

Cheating to get to a final and then having to play Italy feels potentially rather kharmic..
