The number of time I've read this whenever we are linked to a new player is only second to he's using us for a new contract like Ramos.
It’s not any new player though is it, it’s specifically this player who according to numerous sources has said his dream is to play for Real Madrid and his preference is to play in Spain. Now maybe if he did sign for us that could change depending on how successful we our in that period or maybe the club are planning on only having him for a few years and cashing in but we’ve seen in the past that signing someone that doesn’t really want to be here never turns out to well.

We all love United
Didn't even know Demarai Gray moved to Leverkusen. I thought he is still at Leicester or something. Was he bought as a replacement for Havertz and failed there? I read Gray was only there for less than a year

Wasn't the most high profile move, I must admit. He just didn't fit in with their system. Maybe he has a chance to resurrect his career at Everton.

They signed him last January to bolster their depth. He had a promsing start with some goals and assists as a sub. But then he gradually disappeared. The contract was a bit weird, too. Leverkusen paid a very small fee and only signed him for 18 months. I guess neither side was convinced it would be a long term thing, so it's not surprising to see him move on so quickly.

Cheap punt in the January window. Only given an 18 month contract though and was decent until the manager at the time got the sack, then fell out of favour.

Maybe, but despite what you said, 50M euros is still cheap, i would say it should be closer to 70M euros, that's his current market value, we are also paying 55/60M euros for Varane who's the same age as Pogba and same contractual situation.
Varane is a serial winner who’s currently on far lower wages (which also means more clubs could afford him/more competition) and doesn’t have raiola for an Agent so you can guarantee the agent’s fee will be much less. Transfer fee is only part of the actual cost of a transfer to a club.

not to mention Varane as a CB doesn’t provide the complications of needing the right players around him or formation to flourish that Pogba clearly does. There’s also a dearth of top quality CBs relative to midfielders.

Submitted a transfer request to push though a transfer to Napoli but clubs are €10 million appart on valuation.

Napoli need to sell Rui or Ghoulam ideally.

They would have a very nice forward line if they also can also keep hold of Grealish
Bailly Grealish Buendia
Watkins
Both Villa and Leeds making some astute moves this window. Both will be more formidable this season.

Arsenal and Everton however look a total car crash.

Pogba being in the last year of his contract has to be taken into account. He's also 28 and lets be honest, he hasn't been world class consistently for United at all. He's shown glimpses of being great, often prolonged for 1-2 months, but never really more than that.

I think it's a good deal as I think we should cash in and move on. I do like him as a player, but we can't risk losing him on a free again
Shh!
