Can we stop saying this please? AWB can't play as a RCB. It seems like people haven't seen him play. We will leak goals every game. Lindelof is insanely better choice if we play 3 at the back although I doubt we will do that.
Maybe till Rashford recovers we might try this but no way our coaching staff will put AWB in back 3
The idea of AWB who lacks positional sense, constantly gets caught out, as a RCB is baffling. Lindelof is comfortably a better option there, and he's Lindelof.

If he's just leaving Madrid now then it's going to be at least another 5 days of quarantine? Which would put his medical to Thursday? Either way he'll probably have a week in training with us before the season opens which isn't great.

Top class talents like him don't need more than a week. He's been practising and playing elite defensive tactics for a decade. He's been staying in shape and as long as he's match fit, he'd be good to go.

How will any of them be match fit? Or are you proposing we just play Williams, Mengi and Mata against Leeds? Those are the only guys who have been playing. Fitness wise, Varane is in no different a position to the majority of our first team.
