For those wondering how much we'd get off of a potential Lukaku sale:

This is according to what was in Matt Law's article, which states that United have a 4-5% sell-on clause in Lukaku's contract. 4% of 120 million Euros = 4.8 million Euros
It's sell on clause. Ducker said release clause, poor guy.

Wtf is a 4-5% sell on clause! Atleast Woody should have negotiated a 10% clause

Give it to Phil Jones and send him on his way to Blackburn on a free

Jacob Steinberg reports what Di Marzio reported + some more info:
  • Inter want cash only
  • Chelsea must submit an offer to satisfy Inter as Lukaku won't push for a sale.
  • If Inter sell Lautaro Martínez, then Chelsea will have a much tougher time purchasing Lukaku.
  • Chelsea outgoings
    • [Irrelevant point] for Sale
    • Tammy Abraham for sale
      • Valued at 40 million Pounds by Chelsea
      • Targeted by Arsenal, West Ham, and Aston Villa (growing interest)
        • Grealish sale could help Villa in paying for Abraham.
    • Hudson-Odoi is for sale, but the player isn't pushing to leave Chelsea.

Given how this has gone, it seems like Grealish isn't necessarily pushing for a move, so City have to offer a package that'd convince Villa to sell the player.

It would seem with all the chatter about Lukaku, this is going to happen.

To be fair, there was lot of chatter about Haaland to Chelsea as well. That didn't happen. But I would love you lot to sign Lukaku. I feel he deserves another chance in the PL.

Lukaku, had he not left the PL, was well on his way to retiring with 200+ goals.

I’ve said before and I’ll say again, Lukaku will likely retire with more than 400 career goals and as his country’s all time leading goalscorer with this nonsense still raging on as to whether he is actually any good or not. BS nitpicking because people cannot take to him.

Lukaku is a good striker, but so was Berbatov. While Berbatov had a lot more to his game than Lukaku, he was not that bad of a goalscorer either.

But if a competitor where to spend £100 mill + on a striker I really hope it will be Lukaku. Very limited, a good goalgetter (but a level below the best) and appears to struggle when it gets tough (there is also a lot of mileage on him).

Lukaku must be the only striker in world football who gets judged for scoring goals wherever he goes.

How many players can move clubs like he does and get goals for every single one of them, as well as consistently for his country, year in year out, independently of the quality of teammates.

It’s an extremely small number and he deserves far more credit that he gets.

They'll have to make some big calls in the next year or so.
Sallah, Mane, Firmino, Fabinho, Henderson, VVD and Keita's contracts all expire in 2023.

Plus more importantly we have a sell on percentage and they haven’t paid us yet !

Barcelona expressed some interest but didn't have the resources to really go far. I don't recall any other club ever being in for Romero.
UTD should've been in for him, I suspect despite it will be his first season in the EPL that he will end the season as widely regarded as Spurs best defender during the 21/22 season, time will tell.

I feel the same, but I can see why United spent a slightly smaller amount on bringing in Varane instead of Romero. Personally speaking, I'd rather we spent a few more million Euros to bring in Romero and reap the long-term benefits.

I still feel like Tammy Abraham is going to have a very good career in or around the top level. Might have to take a step down now but I think it'll be met with a step up again in a few years.

A bit like.. Lukaku, funny enough

Yeah, his NT record is insane. He constantly has a chip on his shoulder and he’s really sensitive about criticism, but I agree. He’s one of the best strikers just below the elite tier but often he doesn’t get that respect.

Well they are 100% taken into account when the club calculates what they can spend on incomings. And usually clubs take a loan against it to get it immidiately or faster.
We already taken into account money that will be a % of whatever transfer fee Inter get if they sell Lukaku?

How in the feck would that work?

He could go now for 120m and we'd get 5m ish or leave on a free in a few years and we'd get nothing
.

EDIT: Never mind I see you meant the money they owe us. Yes that's already put in the books.

Looked like he was training by himself. Maybe he joins the group when they get back from Scotland?
Why are they up in Scotland?

If we had a pre-season friendly against a Scottish team, I could understand it but as we haven't I don't see the point in them going to Scotland.

It's just like the training camp we had a couple weeks ago. To replicate the feeling of being on tour.

UPDATE about Ajax keeper André Onana who just wants to be transferred this summer. But Lyon has [been] put on hold. Larger clubs from larger competitions [are] genuinely [interested]. André Onana frustrates Lyon; bigger clubs [are] genuine [in their interest]
EDIT: Translation + additional info from the article
