I don't think that's common and I know people with kidney disease take the vaccines. I think it's worth having a chat to your GP.Anyone had kidney issues with the Moderna?
I’ve felt like I’ve been hit by a bus today after having the second jab yesterday but the worst bit at the minute is I can’t stop pissing and my kidneys are killing me
The risk of getting a serious clot from the second shotcare 10% of the risk of thexrisk from the first shoti was reading (either here or reddit) that the blood clots associated with the AZ vaccine are overwhelmingly after the first dose rather than the 2nd - so the question is, does that make the AZ vaccine a very good booster candidate for everyone?
Also, do we know if there's been much progress in the development of variant specific vaccines?
Do they know if the first exposure counts as first exposure to any vaccine, or first exposure to a viral vector vaccine like AZ? Either way, I don't think there's much chance of AZ being given any kind of contract by Europe again, and its still not approved in the US.i was reading (either here or reddit) that the blood clots associated with the AZ vaccine are overwhelmingly after the first dose rather than the 2nd - so the question is, does that make the AZ vaccine a very good booster candidate for everyone?

I've read it on a couple of american news sites.Where you reading this?
I’ve had the same vaccine. We will likely require a booster at some point, but it should give us enough protection for now. It’s been rolled out to healthcare workers in South Africa, and the data is encouraging. Based on everything I’ve read and heard, we’re more likely to get Covid than our Pfizer overlords, but it will most likely be mild.

Take it back lethargic and achy the day after quite mild but i can still tell i'm slightly off.Had the second one today, seems the same as last time no real side effects just a dead arm.
Feeling any better?Anyone had kidney issues with the Moderna?

was he selling the juice? My mind is melting. I just had a salesperson come to my door:
1. He was unmasked (I was masked)
2. He told me as part of his spiel that COVID is fading and not a big deal
3. He told e he will never get the vaccine because...
4. He told me that they were putting the second strain into vaccinations
5. He told me to drink elderberry juice to fight off COVID
6. He tried to shake my hand
what is going on. we are doomed as a country and as a species.

No, fecking windowswas he selling the juice?
feeling some missing synergies in his strategyNo, fecking windows
He's walking through a middle class neighborhood in a county at 70% vaccination and a suburb close to 90%. Not sure pitching vaccination conspiracies is the best strategy.feeling some missing synergies in his strategy

It will never click for somehow many of these stories do you have to go through till it clicks
I’d be on the phone to his company giving outHe's walking through a middle class neighborhood in a county at 70% vaccination and a suburb close to 90%. Not sure pitching vaccination conspiracies is the best strategy.
I am struggling with that right now. He was a young guy, said he had kids and had just moved here. I call and he likely loses his job.I’d be on the phone to his company giving out
Then he should think about his kids and also think about how many vulnerable people he might influence badly and how that might turn out for themI am struggling with that right now. He was a young guy, said he had kids and had just moved here. I call and he likely loses his job.
Thts what happened to me. Took three days for fatigue to fade away but a 1000 mg doliprane 2x a day did wonders for the headacheHad my second dose of Pfizer yesterday, sore arm again like the last time but accompanied by fatigue and a headache feeling a bit better now though
It could be a local thing. If rates are high in your area then the balancing act is a bit different - sacrifice a bit of long-term protection for quicker results. Most of the world has stuck to 3/4 week intervals, so it's not as if it's a wild move.My second dose is booked in September but I've just had a text that I can have it earlier. The September date will be just over 2 months since the first dose, I've read that the longer you wait for the second dose the better immunity your body builds. I was wondering whether to just keep the appointment as is, or move it earlier? Is there a reason why they've asked if I want to move it earlier?
Yeah I had the same, but I don’t know if the tiredness was from a shit nights sleep or the jab, called in sick, my place gives us 2 days off for it. So I went back to bed slept till late and still fecked.Had my second dose of Pfizer yesterday, sore arm again like the last time but accompanied by fatigue and a headache feeling a bit better now though
Doesn’t mean much without genotype data.Coronavirus: Moderna says its vaccine remains 93 per cent effective 4 to 6 months after second dose

Moderna
Forgive my ignorance but what does that mean in this context?Doesn’t mean much without genotype data.
How prevalent is delta variant. It’s basically 100% in UK/Ireland (and will soon be the same all over the world) so the only efficacy data that really matters is re delta.Forgive my ignorance but what does that mean in this context?

I'm sure they know that but it's not released yet. That article is based off the earnings call, where they did say full results would be released in a few weeks. The 93% figure is across all variants.Doesn’t mean much without genotype data.
You have anything after the first other than the sore arm? Just had my first an hour ago and felt nothing after the first but feel like I'm just waiting in anticipation for at least a headache on this one.Second Pfizer done. Same as the first time, sore arm but thankfully nothing else. So happy to have got both doses. The NHS have done really well with the vaccine rollout.
I’m sure they do know but I’ll take the headline figures with a pinch of salt until that data is released.I'm sure they know that but it's not released yet.
