This is incredible.
Too right. They were told a price from the start and all they have done is haggle. Do Arsenal not realise we have just seen them pay a premium price for White too.

When you're being told to pay 35M for Ramsdale you can either haggle or hang-up, block the number and have a deep rethink. I wish we took the second option straight away.
Sheffield are completely entitled to their position though.

with Onana still available, this might save Arsenal from Arsenal.

But wouldn’t it be better to go for Locatelli himself?
Juve are such lucky ******s. They've got no money, but they know Locatelli only wants to go to them and Sassuolo know he wants to leave, so Juve can get him for practically next to nothing.

Exactly, pay it or leave it. Not sure what they are hoping for coming in with sub par offers. Regardless of what he’s actually ’worth’ the board said what they would accept so it seems silly to keep coming back offering nowhere near that amount. I’m not sure what the obsession with Ramsdale is either to be honest.

It's baffling that anyone with half a brain would think that to be honest but there you go.
Anyone that thinks he's anywhere near good enough for United or that we need him is fecking clueless, but there you go.

United play 3 forwards and an attacking midfielder. Rashford, Martial, Cavanni, Greenwood, Sancho, Mata, Fernandes, Amad. 8 players for those 4 positions. In addition teenagers: Elanga, Hannibal, Shoretire (3) can play minutes in some cup games or take a reserve spot. Pogba and Donny (2) can also play AM. 13 players for 4 positions. But United only have 1 player at CDM: Matic. So it's obvious every non-essential player should be put up or sale until funds are raised to buy the Matic replacement so badly needed. Jones, Lingard, James, Pereira are all non-essential.
Exactly!

What do you genuinely think of him? I'm not usually harshly critical of players but everytime I've seen him play, he's been awful. Like Kepa bad.

Definitely had awful moments but in the second half of the season he was on par with/better than Henderson level for us.

Is James top class no, is he a good squad player off the bench? Yes.
Not every team has world class players for every position.
He's become the new fellaini on here for some and it's quite frankly embarrassing.

I really don't get the Dan James hate on here, he cost peanuts, has a decent level of potential and has shown glimpses of what he's capable of early on for us and also for Wales.

Is he the next Ronaldo, no. He is however a young lad who gives his all for the shirt and runs himself into the ground everytime he's given a chance. Maybe he'll improve and make a decent utd player, maybe he won't and we'll move him on in a year or two, but stop slating him and scapegoating him. Don't forget obertan, bebe, bellion... He's better than all 3 combined.

Our fans are Madrid levels of twattishness sadly. Been the same for Matic since day 1 for many, Lukaku got a really rough ride, Nani too, Pogba is despised by half the fanbase. Hardly surprising Dan James then gets his “fair share”.

They really are! I mean some were even questioning Sanchos committment because he decided not to cut his holidays (which were greenlit by the club) short and join the team earlier!!?

A hundred percent agree.

He's a useful squad player, one who brings speed and directness to the team. He can play in a variety of positions, and is an able backup.
He's been picked by two separate Wales managers and is generally one of the first names on the team sheet for his national side.

It's either these top managers are wrong or the haters on the Caf? I wonder which it is?!

Unfortunately like a lot of society these days there is no patience, if a player isn’t a world beater from the off, week in week out they lose interest and write them off, I like James, like said above he gives his all and has talent, see where he is in a few years then pass judgment

Indeed, but what really brought it home for me was a post in one of the other threads where Fifa attributes were being used to argue against a player. :wenger:

Yeah, he can still develop and if he brings more consistency he can actually be a good asset finishing wise as well.

Yes, It's the same of all fans of every football club. Most join these forums to have their say in what they think of each player, and one bad game sets them off on a rant about him, and then they just wont change their minds no matter what.

Why would he stay in Italy if he could play in a stronger league (EPL)?
not everyone wants to play in the EPL just because it’s the strongest. Family, home comforts, love for the country/city they’re in etc

Have you visited both the UK and Italy? I could think of about a thousand reasons why I’d prefer to be a rich man living in Italy, and that’s without having all my family there and it being my home.
I’ve been, yes, although to Italy like 10 times less than to UK.

But I would disagree - footballer has a short career, and while it’s ongoing, the main focus must be on professional growth and achievements. Time to live a comfortable rich man’s life will come after you retire at 35 +/-, but while you are a player, you need to consider what is best for you as a player.

He's not a good squad player, he has no end product, and the Fellaini comparison is way off, most didn't like the way we played with Fellaini, it was an ugly style of football that wasn't right for United, but could be effective. Dan James is just a very mediocre player who offers nothing bar running and we have lots of options in his position.

Sadly for James this is spot on. A lot of views on James are due to him being a nice lad who gets in with it. But Utd as you say we have many talented options in his area.
The best we can and should do is find a decent club where he can have a good career.

Buying Leno and Ramsdale for £50m+ after selling Martinez for £15m is as Arsenal as playing with your fullbacks up too high.

The way he said that suggests to me we have something we are working on and I reckon the press haven’t really caught wind of it yet.
