Neville can‘t be taken seriously as a pundit. These days he rather acts as Kane‘s PR guy. Doesn‘t have the balls to speak against English players, let alone against the English captain.
Will rather choose easy targets instead like DdG or Pogba.

What I find annoying is Neville keeps talking like he has first hand information and that Spurs have wronged Kane, but he won't say what it is.
Unless it was written in the contract, it doesn't really matter. Like Souness said his agent has let him down.

Like Souness also said, it's in Levy's interest to sell him this window. His value now is as high as it's ever going to be. Next summer a 29 year old striker coming off a demotivated season will not be worth more than what's on the table now, even if the figure is not as high as Levy really wants.

Really is ironic.

If Pogba was doing this right now to force a move to Juve/Madrid there would be a national witch hunt live on TV, Souness and Neville leading the charge.

Just because Neville has worked with Kane at England for a few years suddenly he can do no wrong  This is why I've lost all respect for Neville unfortunately. He's a very wishy washy man.

I actually think he has a soft spot for City too.

I've disliked Neville for years now. Even anything he says about United has this weird undertone of him wanting something to do with the club still.

I think it's possible Kane has given him some additional details about what's gone on. Don't think it's that unrealistic to be honest.

It will all come out in the wash

He may have been right back in 2018 when he signed the contract, but not now with Grealish and Lukaku as reference points and 3 years left on his contract.
It's quite ironic that City have pushed the Kane price up themselves by signing Grealish for three figures.

I'm quite sure this wasn't in their transfer planning.

It is ironic. They would've been much better off landing Kane first, then triggering Grealish's clause. I guess Levy stalled, and they didn't want to miss out on both.

He loves their business model as it is similar with what he is doing with Salford.

Is this the spectacular signing it would appear to be? He's 28, but he has had some worrying injuries over the last few seasons. Is he going to maintain his goal-scoring record for the next few season? Well there's a risk with any signing, who knows. And will he replicate his form in a City side, that don't play particularly like Spurs do, and opponents set-up very differently against? They do need a striker though and he's about the best available, I just feel at the figures quoted it's a fairly risky signing. But probably a risk that has to be taken. Keep him injury free play to his strengths and he will bang goals in regularly. We'll see if that happens.

Gary has a pretty long history of being pro-sugar daddy from what I remember so that would go hand-in-hand with being pro-City as they are now. I think he's just very easily impressed by very rich people/billionaires - IIRC he's well in with that gentleman who owns Valencia for example.

Yeah that's a good point. Lim (valencia owner) is a big share holder of Salford also.

He just makes me laugh these days to be honest, he says things but clearly doesn't believe it himself.

I think it will transform them.. the two things they lack are a LB and a Striker. I think most people agree that Grealish is at best an incremental upgrade over what they have (Bernardo / Foden / Sterling). He'll do fine but he won't have anything close to KdB / Aguero levels of impact. Kane will do that.

If City wanted a finisher up top, they should've just gotten Ings. They don't need their striker to drop back to half to get involved.

I don’t think Grealish is an upgrade on Sterling or Bernardo and has become overrated, I think at best Grealish is on the same level but both Sterling and Bernardo have done it at the top level at both club and international level whereas Grealish has two years of PL experience but that’s another discussion.

With Kane it will go one of two ways if he moves to City, it’ll be like Zlatan at Barca was under Pep where playing with a proper centre forward fecked with the style and team in general or Pep will have to change things up a bit with Kane as the focal point of the attack because as great as Kane is he isn’t a Messi or Aguero type forward.

As a Utd fan I really do want Kane to go city and get it over the line. Kane is a v good player but not one that bothers me as a rival.

The price for Grealish and Kane is just ridiculous English tax. If they do get Kane, I think City have actually gone backwards from a couple of years ago.

Is Grealish, Kane and Mahrez/Sterling really better than Sane, Aguero, Sterling? Not for me. Sane when he was on it is a better player than Grealish. Aguero at his best was better suited to City.

I just think Grealish and Kane is not going to be the all conquering attack many think it will be. It will lack serious pace and be easier to contain than previous city attacks.

I'm actually convinced that he won't be. Levy has no need to sell, and even if City did come up with the 150mil that he wants, it's almost too late in the window for Spurs to spend it. I said at the start of the window that Kane would stay and I'm honestly more convinced than ever at this stage.
This bit happened when Levy did something similar to us for Berba. They didn't have enough time to use the money to strengthen. I think he copped a lot of flak for that. Would be interesting what he'll do this time.

I want City to get Kane for the simple reason it improves our chances of signing Haaland next summer

I can’t see that at all. They’ll both tear the league up.

I sort of see your point on Grealish but I think you under rate Kane. He has shown that he can adapt his game to fit different types of coaches and formations - he has been successful with Poch, MOU and Southgate. I think he could give City quite a cutting edge Which they don’t have at the moment. Best if he stays at Spurs and Pep signs some random striker.

What’s the latest? Any leaks from your side? Difficult to see City paying 150 million plus the last weeks of the window, but if they are you surely would be smart to sell.
Mind if I answer the question? According to Charlie Eccleshare, who's Tottenham's correspondent for The Athletic, there are still no talks between City and Spurs.

As of now, Spurs are planning to keep Kane in their squad for this season.

I watched them yesterday and thought they might struggle a bit without signing a striker. If Kane was playing for them yesterday, they win that game despite being poor.
After being indifferent, I now hope they don't sign him.

It'd be highly amusing if a duo worth £250m didn't synch. I don't see it though.
I think they would certainly sync as they are both very good players. But I’m not of the belief that it will be world conquering as it is being made out to be. The consensus seems to be if kane goes to city then the trophy might as well be handed to City right now. For me, Aguero was a more dangerous striker than Kane would be at city and the team Aguero played in was better. But even then it was never a forgone conclusion that city would win the league.

A team that had Sane, Aguero and Sterling with D Silva, De Bruyne and Fernandinho behind them. Kompany at the back. That was a better team than any team city put out this season even with Kane.

Of course they will be favourites if they get Kane, but it’s certainly not done and dusted.

Maybe so but Neville doesn’t work for Harry Kane, and he’s not some Caf poster trying to tease that he’s ITK. He’s essentially a journalist in this situation so he either needs to actually say what he means or shut the feck up about it.

In reality, it’s just yet another in a long line of examples of Neville standing behind the England players when he’d be jumping up and down in a rabid rage if a foreign player did anything close to the same thing.

Kane would make more sense than Graelish in my opinion. Good finisher but can also drop deep and help in the build up, also his passing is top notch.
Graelish seems more like a purchase to add depth and maybe get a marketing boost.

I am sure you can understand Kane leaving when their opponents post stuff like this

I sure hope he doesn’t go to City though. They might genuinely get 105 points or something like that.

Have you even watched the video? It's because teams like that are actively taking the piss out of Spurs.

We weren’t in the Conference South Vanarama Europa League anyway.

Does it matter about the draw really? It just amuses me at the lack of foresight, oh and I am hoping we can off load Kane before the start of the season. :D Quite frankly I couldn't give a shit who takes the piss out of us, every team in the league gets piss taken, yes even United.
