Ole must make 2 subs at half time, not his usual useless 80-minute sub. Sancho and a midfield player on.

I don't know how people manage to blame specific players when no one has been good and the issue is clearly a collective one.
This is actually a game where I'd probably blame Ole (I'm usually defending him)

Martial, Fred, matic in the same game is absolute rank.

Fred should have been hooked after 20mins, martial could easily go at HT

Too many players that struggle against teams when they've got to make things happen and nobody is making any runs in behind . Fred and Martial have been woeful.

How do we continue to concede so many jammy goals? It's so predictable, yet I can't help but being absolutely furious about it!

Ole needs to be ruthless right now. Donny on for Fred and Sancho on for Martial with Greenwood moving up top.

BBC making a big deal about how Southampton deserve to be ahead, and talk about their fluke own goal being an "amazing finish". Load of nonsense.

Cannot understand why Solskjaer wants to keep so many incompetent players like Martial, Matic, Fred.
They should be sold and with teh money, buy better players.

Ole has messed this up today
    Agreed,

When a team plays so well last week why the feck are you changing it so much ! Sancho for James would have been an obvious choice and alright Scott’s injured maybe use the 35m midfielder you signed last season instead,

The whole teams is out of sync which is a shame as we were electric last week ! Making life difficult for no bloody reason

I really think Ole is doing the right thing here. Keep faith with the players who have proven themselves over the last few seasons like Martial and Matic and let the new signings have a few months, maybe a year even to get used to the way the bench feels.

Genuinely Lingard is a far better player than Martial.

Well at least it would make him look like he cares, maybe if he made a couple of runs his teammates would find him?

It's not only about him being awfully off form but his attitude and laziness is clearly a problem, his body language screams that he doesn't give a single feck.
Did you talk about Rashford being lazy last season when he was walking on the pitch most of the time?

It's so clear some on here are just waiting to spew their preconceived opinions the moment someone is not doing a Messi up front.

Martial looks isolated and maybe not that fit. Neither of those are his fault.

Our full backs have done nothing to help our width, Pogba and Bruno have been ineffectual and somehow everyone on here decides it's our striker's fault.

The Daily Mails of this world have really done a job on our fanbase.

Remind me why we signed DVB again? He must be an absolute donkey in training if he can't get a kick about over the likes of Fred and Matic.
    He probably hasn't impressed carricky

We weren't all that bad come on.

When we have the ball, it's quite good.
We just need to have more of it, that's all.

First 20 min were good, 72% possesion and making chances.

Replicate that in the second half, and once we score the first, it's our game again.

Truth be told, he really does have to make some changes asap, mainly Tony, this kind of game doesn't suit him.
any game that involves one of those white round things doesn't suit martial

First 20 mins, we should have gone a goal or two ahead but just weren’t clinical when got into those positions. Southampton weren’t in it all. Then that true old saying coming backs to haunt us - don’t take your chances, you get punished. Should have been a foul on Bruno, lucky deflection for the goal blah blah, it doesn’t matter. We only have ourselves to blame for being a goal down in this game.

Would like to see both Sancho & McTominay brought on for Martial & Fred.

Sancho on Martial off , Greenwood through the middle. Its sloppy at times , poor goal afte deflection, need to do more with the ball, foul I think on Bruno before goal. Up the pace a bit more, should be ok .

Keane is spot on. Stephens nicks it off Bruno from the side rather than behind. If Bruno shifted his body across, it would've 100% been a foul.

Eurgh. We had about 3 set pieces in the space of 2 mins where we should’ve scored from all 3
We literally created more first half today than we did the whole match against Leeds. Clinical finishing massively skews people’s perceptions of how creative we have been.

There was one moment when martial was dawdling off the ball on the half way line and Fernandez sprinted past him trying to press the Southampton player.
Martial is fecking lazy. Anyone who says different is a moron.

Lolz. Varane on for Matic anyone?

We love square pegs round holes
Not the worst idea, push Lindelof up to play as DM and bring Sancho for Martial. If Fred persists with his Sunday League impersonation bring in Donny after 60. But of course Ole will make the change in the 85th minute.

Southampton were set up for the draw, they might get gifted a win. An appalling decision not to call the foul on Bruno when he got punished for a similar incident on Perraud minutes ago. And the deflection was so so unlucky.

Our own problems are clear as day. Fred can't make passes, Matic can't break lines, Martial can't get the ball ahead of the defenders, that Lindelof-Fred-AWB triangle being a magnet for opposition press-just the same old shit. Something needs to change at half time as I can't see this team imposing themselves without a spark.

Not easy to sell with the fat contracts they are on.

I don't think Fred is the biggest problem. I feel Matic is the biggest issue today.

If Fred or Matic (one of them has to go off they don't work as a MF) and Martial aren't off at the start of the 2nd half then we deserve to lose and OGS shows he's clueless. Martial offering feck all up top, Greenwood has offered more and he's playing out wide.

Also feck Craig Pawson, if you are gonna call that foul on Greenwood that gave us a free kick then you need to be calling someone clanging into someone's back with their forearm

So the "changing it so much" you think Ole has done to this team is a massive 1 player more than you'd have done?
