I think Kane is now resigned to the fact he's staying at Spurs. Social media suggests he's working hard behind the scenes and there are suggestions City are offering nowhere near Spurs crazy valuation.
In fairness, City just paid £100 million for Grealish - a player they don’t need who isn’t anywhere near the level of Kane. The real question is why City didn’t put that money towards Kane, who is the one of the worlds very best in the one position where there is a clear gap in City’s team, and get him for probably about £130 million - which would seem a very reasonable level to me. I’m glad they didn’t but it’s an obvious error.

I kind of think its mean all dogpiling on one hand, but on the other I want to know more

Do you have framed pictures of him all around your house? Do you celebrate his brithday like you would a family member? Do you only wear CR7 clothes? Do you talk to him like he is in the same room

PS. I will admit I have Ronaldo jocks, quite comfy in fairness

I personally couldn't care less if he goes to City, the poster who said his affiliation is with SAF rather than United hit the nail on the head. We were just a stepping stone in his career and in my eyes, he's not a legend here.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I can picture @RedRonaldo on Ballon D'or night. Full Real Madrid kit, CR7 boxer shorts, tins of lager, on the sofa. Forget the CL final, this is the night.

Announcement is made...Ronaldo wins the trophy. @RedRonaldo whips off his shirt spinning it over his head, dancing around the room with the dog going mental as his wife looks at him in sheer disbelief. As the emotions sink in, tears begin to roll down his face.

The biggest night of the season for the cult of Cristiano (Red Ronaldo + Shanta Ronaldo).

Moreso because it's a completely fecking ludicrous opinion that one of the best footballers in the history of the game has "awful build up play". Especially going off last season, his performances for Portugal and...literally every single game which he has played in in the past 15 seasons, all of which supply more than enough evidence that holding that opinion is positively dense to put it mildly.

The rest of his statement was self-refuting.
Ronaldo's build up play has never been his biggest strength. His biggest strength is goals. Period.

This is pretty unhealthy mate.
Yes but, I assume everyone has some sort of unhealthy obsession on something (alcohol, sex, porns, gambling, smoking, football, music, politics, checking out birds, or even golfing etc) It’s just the degree of obsession isn’t same for everyone. If it’s manageable I think it’s perfectly fine.

I think City are using an interest in Ronaldo to get Kane to pressure Spurs into selling to them and if Ronaldo goes anywhere then it’s to PSG to replace Mbappe if he moves to Real, I don’t buy into Ronaldo having so much love for United that he wouldn’t move to City as his love was for Sir Alex rather than United but I just don’t see how he would fit in tactically or personality wise with City or Pep so I think it’s a nothing story.

Ronaldo to me, he is more of “religion” or even a “cult” thing to me, rather than just a hobby, hence I am comfortable to admit myself as a Ronaldo fanboy, even with all the potential backlash in future Messi vs Ronaldo argument.

That is actually quite disturbing.

Absolutely. Whipping yourself while screaming "Bad Ronaldo" if you missed his match is where I would personally draw the line.

Well it’s very rare case for me or anyone supporting a player for over 18 years, while no other player has ever gather a fanbase of over 330 million in this world before, for me I simply regard him as my only exception. For other people, their only exception could be someone whom they have close connection to. It doesn’t matter, my point being, there are always exception.

In response to your example on club legend, let’s just say if Rooney or Ruud or Evra or even Scholes or Giggs or Keane joining a rival, of course I won’t cheer for them, as they are nothing more than club legend to me. Whereas Ronaldo to me, he is more of “religion” or even a “cult” thing to me, rather than just a hobby, hence I am comfortable to admit myself as a Ronaldo fanboy, even with all the potential backlash in future Messi vs Ronaldo argument. I’d say he is an exception to those who has shared the same fanboy mentality too. And no I don’t fanboy anyone or any other player, except Ronaldo.
Fair enough you are honest about it. I don’t have much more too add. Best of luck mate and thanks for replying honestly.

Well I would surely be overjoyed and probably would celebrate with an awkward moment of screaming “Suuu” quietly, and I wouldn’t refrain myself from opening a bottle of most expensive wine from my cabinet, to share with my wife of course. But I could still be able to hold up myself from doing anything too “out of manner”, as I would regard myself as a classy person, who would do nothing too uncivilised.

The great player we saw at United and Madrid is not so great anymore. You can clearly see age and effects of many years of physical endeavours have caught up with him. He is only good in the penalty area these days. Basically playing from his vast experience and positional know-how in the penalty area. Personally, I wouldn't care less if went to City or even Liverpool.
Sounds good to me! Shawberto, Sancho and Pogba feeding him - another 30+ goals season and the PL wrapped up by Jan

Are you Portuguese @RedRonaldo ? I can only assume that you are and if so I guess that would help understand the adoration you have for him. If you aren't Portuguese however you need to have a serious look at yourself.

Congrats, you've reached stage 1 of the healing process. That's seriously unhealthy.

Imagine asking someone if they have any hobbies and they responded with "Supporting Ronaldo". I'd laugh at first and then slowly turn to confusion and horror at their unchanging face and slow nodding.

Acrually I support United since around 1990, for over 30 years. I support Ronaldo since 2003, for around 18 years. United always come first for me, but Ronaldo is a very close second. I know it’s tough when there conflict of interest (for example Ronaldo playing against us), but I won’t totally give up my support, just because he joined our rivals. You see I am not a black or white kind of person, there are things I could compromise.
There is no way you’ve supported United since 1990. You can’t claim to have supported them since birth which I believe is what you’re trying to do.

It’s because city wanted both all along and seemed to have underestimated Levy and his resolve. I think they eventually get a deal done for Kane and the Ronaldo fan boys will breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Im assuming it’s a sexual thing and you’re attracted to Ronaldo. Absolutely no judgement from me at all, but I just struggle to see how it could be anything else.

If Ronaldo moves to City, would he be the least loved goat candidate ever outside of Portugal and SCP

He has never been popular with the Juventus faithful, has slowly alienated the RM fanbase and would completely destroy his United credentials.

Moving to PSG to play second fiddle to Messi wouldn’t be much better either.

He can sign with City for all I care. A great player but he never hides his favorite club is Real Madrid and he's after trophies. Our club was just one of stages where he worked to become a next level superstar and that's it. He doesn't care much about United, I hardly remember him attending any of our matches or even watching us on TV, whereas Rooney, Beckham, Berbatov, Van Persie do it occasionally.

This is what annoys me the most about Ronaldo and this situation, the Madrid fans don’t even care about him.
United have always held him in high regard and he has a real adoration from the fans.

It would just be a massive shame for him to sack it all off for City.
